For a time I was a legal assistant, so i have a fairly good sense when it comes to telling the difference between a great, mediocre, and lousy attorney. Derek Larwick is one of the best I have come across. He'll evaluate your case and give you an honest answer as to whether or not it would be prudent to move forward. No BS, no "ambulance chaser" mentality, just a straightforward, knowledgeable dude. His staff is great as well-- very responsive and sweet. My feelings about him were validated the day I walked into his office and saw what looked like a florists' shop more than an attorney's office. I asked about the numerous vases of flowers and was told that they were all from happy clients. Need I say more?

I hired Ron to represent me in a Personal Injury Claim involving a Motor Vehicle Accident. He was there for me through the entire process from filing the tort claim to arbitration. I have been a trial attorney for over fifteen years. When I was injured in a car wreck, I looked carefully for an injury attorney who: a) would take away all of the hassle and stress of personally having to deal with claims adjusters and opposing counsel; b) would not only keep me informed on a regular basis of the status of my case, but proactively make sure I was doing all the things I needed to do on time; c) knew Personally Injury law thoroughly -- both substantively and with demonstrated litigation experience -- from the claims stage all the way through courtroom litigation; and, d) MOST IMPORTANTLY, one who was not afraid to seek the best possible outcome in my case aggressively. (I have been around enough attorneys to know that many are either afraid of litigation/trial, or they want to take the first or second counter offer from the other side because it's quick money in the bank.) Elizabeth exceeded my expectations on all four of my requirements. I consider myself to be pretty on the ball with my to-do checklists, but sometimes when I slacked on sending in treatment reports to the firm, for example, she would email me personally reminding me to get a, b, or c done, and would also update me with that status of the case/negotiation so I always understood exactly where things were. In addition, on our second settlement obtained (the UIM claim), Elizabeth was actually confident that she could get the other side to an even better number than she'd already negotiated. It was me who let her know that I trusted that she could, but that just for my peace of mind I wanted to settle at the good enough number she already obtained and move on with my life. She would have kept fighting, though, and with confidence. I know another attorney who also retained her and came away also completely pleased with the communication and with the outcome. 100 % recommendation for Elizabeth Welch!

Our adult granddaughter was hit by a car while on her bike. She incurred horrendous injuries with corresponding medical bills, for which there was little insurance. It was such a relief to be able to turn her case over to Cynthia Newton as an experienced professional, and not have to deal with the liability and financial issues, while we were worrying if our granddaughter would ever recover. Thankfully she made an almost full physical recovery. During the case, Cynthia showed such patience in dealing with a difficult situation and the end result was better than we had been led to expect. I can't say enough about Grant Cook, representing me in two different cases. In two separate courts. One case against a landlord. The other a family court matter. I found him to be thorough and an excellent communicator. Kept me in the loop with information as he received it. He spoke in a way that gave me a clearer understanding of the laws as they pertained to my cases. I know it can be frustrating for some who hire other representation and feel out of the loop or spoken down to. Not so with Grant. Jim helped me through a difficult situation when my now ex-wife moved out unexpectedly and hired an attorney. Jim gave me sound legal advice and provided prompt responses to her attorney's proposals. When the dust settled I got a divorce. Afterward, Jim helped me re-write my will and clean up all the loose ends of paperwork and things to file that I hadn't even thought of. Mr. Huegli is the finest attorney I have ever known. He has an uncanny ability to research and locate all evidence and put forth the finest preparation for trial. He represented us in the successful prosecution of an individual fraudulently promoting himself as a financial advisor to an elderly member of our family. His unyielding efforts were central to evidence prepared for the county prosecutor leading to the conviction of a perpetrator on more than 10 counts of first degree theft. I had just been through a hip implant revision due to the first one being recalled. After my first visit with Keith, I knew I had made the right choice. There are so many ways to describe good people, all of them apply to Keith. We agreed up front that I would carry-on with my life without much interaction with Keith, he would just do what was necessary to get a good outcome. And good outcome it was. Good numbers, short time frame, and life goes on.

I was hit by a drunk driver in Sunriver while on vacation. While I herniated a disc, I had a ton of preexisting conditions that complicated everything. I am a lawyer and thought I could handle this but when the insurance company rejected my $15,000 settlement demand, I called a defense lawyer I knew in Redmond for a recommendation and without hesitation recommended Tim. I hired him and he and his Assistant, Julie, took over everything. 6 months later I had my deposition (where I thought I did poorly) but a month later Tim had secured a $300,000 policy limits offer!! No IME. I did not have surgery. It was an absolutely wonderful result. The best I could have hoped for. Hire Tim. You want the best on your side.

I was fortunate enough to have Mr Huegli as my attorney during my DUI case. My case was difficult to prove because the police officer was not completly honest in his investigation and actually violated the law in order to charge me with a DUI. Mr. Huegli analyzed the events, the investigation and police reports and was able to determine what actually occurred. He then put a strategy together to prove this in court. I was most impressed with Mr Huegli's litigation and delivery during the trial. In the courtroom he was able to examine and cross-examine so that the jury could understand what actually happened. It was obvious that the police officer was not being entirely honest as Mr. Huegli cross-examined him on the witness stand. The jury deliberated for less than an hour and I was found "not guilty." I would highly recommend Mr. Huegli for legal representation.

I won't get into too many details about my personal case, however I can tell you that Todd knows the law inside and out. The D.A. tried to bring in a bunch of evidence that would have really killed me and Todd knew exactly how to handle it all. He did an awesome job keeping stuff out of the trial and in the end I was WAY better off having Todd on my side. If you are looking for a criminal defense or DUI attorney, look no further. Todd is really nice, explains everything to you, and then is a machine in the court room.

I'm from CA, but had a little too much to drink while in Portland, OR and got a DUI. Todd defended me and did an awesome job. Todd did a great job keeping the DA honest and making sure they could only bring in evidence that was relevant. The details of my case were very involved and Todd did a great job making sure the inadmissible stuff stayed out of the trial. Overall, I couldn't recommend Todd more. He is a very nice guy, easy to work with, and understands the law very well.

At 8 months pregnant the car I was driving got t-boned and totaled by a vehicle that ran a stop sign. I had a horrible time dealing with the insurance company and it's representatives especially considering my pregnancy the physical state I was in resulting from the accident. I am the sort of person that would not seek legal counsel under normal circumstances, but I am so glad I did in this case! If you're up against Ms.O'Kasey Esq, you better have one heck of a case and one heck of a lawyer. I had the honor to be desposed by her over a lawsuit where she was defending a Warren Buffet company. I had studied her work for a few years and she is definitely of a higher echelon than many of the ivy league lawyers that I had studied (cousin/in-law to my kids) J VanKirk and Others. She's highly competitive and will do things outside of the box to win. If you have to choose between O'Kasey or other prominent firms, Okasey's skill set, competitive nature and dedication to the art of lawyering is unmatched. She's the authority at court, judges listen to her. Very hard for any judge to go against her and perhaps would be an uncommon occurrence for that to happen.
