My lawyer in the UK contacted a Florida lawyer he had confidence in and this renowned lawyer recommended Bill Ruffier as the lawyer to investigate and see if the Resort where I contracted legionella could be pursued for compensation.
There were many hurdles Bill, with the help of his PA, Amanda Angel, had to overcome to make a case for any deserved recompense.
I had been reasonably fit for my age before becoming ill and spending 27 nights on a ventilator in the Royal Sussex County National health Hospital in the UK. Miraculously they saved my life but I remembered almost nothing from the time when I left the resort in Florida.
It was in Covid times and I was transported unbelievably by my wife, Lynda, from Orlando to Miami to London Heathrow to Brighton and the by para medics into hospital.
Bill was engaged by my UK lawyer with the blessing of Lynda.
Once I became conscious again and my memory started coming back after 2 months I was able to help Lynda brief Bill.
A successful relationship was then built up between Bill and his PA Amanda and Lynda and myself which continued for over 4 years (2020 - 2024) until Bill using his experience and amazing legal skills overcame all the hurdles he was confronted with and a settlement was reached that was acceptable to us.
Nobody wants something like this to happen to them but should it happen it is marvellous when there is someone eg Bill to head a Team and win for you.

On 08.11.24, I was a patient in the rear of an ambulance, when the ambulance was involved in a motor vehicle accident.
I first hired a family law firm (which will remain unidentified) but their lawyer didn't respond to my texts, emails or phone calls. I fired them and hired attorney Rachel Kilbert of Dan Newlin's office and I'm really glad that I did!
Two out of three insurance companies have already paid their maximum liability amount. It's only been a little over 3 months.

Jeff and his staff helped me with my chapter 7 bankruptcy case. I initially attempted to do the process on my own and failed at it. After looking into getting legal counsel I came across the Badgley Law Firm. The reviews were great and very informative. Upon my first consultation via phone I was offered an in person interview with Jeff which was a nice change because other firms wanted to do virtual meetings. I met with Jeff and he explained how things worked and reviewed my case. He was upfront with the process and cost and then said he would be able to assist me with my case. The first 341 creditors meeting had to be rescheduled and the second one was successful. I was able to be in the office for the meeting with Jeff right there in case I didn’t understand what the trustee was asking me. That helped me so much because I tend to get confused when doing the virtual meetings. Gisel was great as she kept me informed about my case and gathered all the paperwork needed to proceed with my case. I’m forever grateful for Jeff Badgley and his team for assisting me. I found out the the driver who ran into me at 70mph had only the minimum of insurance. I didn’t know if my medical bills would be covered. The “big name firm” who called daily until the lack of insurance became known, had now stopped returning my calls. I fired that firm and called Kevin Butler. Kevin worked as hard as possible on my claim. He treated me like a “million dollar client.” He returned every phone call, settled the claim within an appropriate time frame, and made sure my medical bills were all covered. He then worked with my medical providers, so I had settlement money left over. I can not say enough good things about Kevin Butler. I recommend him to anyone who needs an attorney.
