After being in a passenger in a car accident with no insurance, I was in a really bad spot until I found Flossie Weill and Ira Long, they took my case and helped me understand everything I was going to have to go through. They went above and beyond, in my opinion, to help me with doctors, billing and more. They helped me get through one of the toughest times in my life, and made sure I was apart of every process in my case. Attorney Ira Long provided exceptional professional and courteous service as he represented my family in our malpractice lawsuit against a defendant that most would deem too intimidating to even pursue. Mr. Long kept me informed of the lawsuit's status as it progressed through the legal system and, in instances when I did not understand what was taking place, he patiently explained everything to me. I used Sam Byrd for child custody of my great nephew whose mother is on drugs, I paid them everything they said to pay, and I lost the case and the defendant didn't have representation. She defendant herself with lies and the lawyer who represented me never questioned her lies, I paid this firm five thousand five hundred dollars. I am so disappointed and sad.

Admittedly, personal injury attorney's have some of the lowest credibility and professionalism scores of any category of professionals. If more personal injury attorneys were more like Joe, this would not be true.
Several months ago my wife was injured in a boating accident, and once it was clear that responsible party's insurance company was not going to do the right thing, we decided we needed to retain an attorney. We dreaded trying to select an attorney because of some other incidents we have had over the years with attorneys. We cast about on the Internet and found this website to obtain feedback on attorneys.
Based upon reviews here on AVVO, we selected two attorneys to present our situation to. Both made appointments to meet with us very quickly, but in those interviews, we were much more impressed by Joe. He did not pander, over-dramatize, or over-promise, while also impressing us with his knowledge and intelligence.
Once we retained him, he worked very efficiently, quickly, and proficiently to move forward. We engaged the insurance company two times within the first month, and each time they barely gave us the time of day.
We then proceeded to file a Federal lawsuit. Upon doing this, the insurance company offered to settle within two weeks. From everyone that we spoke with, this seemed to be a highly unusual behavior on the part of the insurance company. Generally once an insurance company has decided to deny the claim, they will usually go through with discovery at a minimum.
We are convinced that part of the reason they chose to settle when they did was that Joe effectively applied maximum pressure to them.
Once the insurance company cut the check, Joe tackled my wife's employee insurance company that had covered most of the medical expenses following the accident, and successfully negotiated with them to significantly reduce their claim on the settlement, which really helped us because had they insisted on being fully reimbursed, there would not have been much money left to compensate my wife.
And to top it off, Joe agreed to perform his services for us at significantly less than the going rate, and less than the other attorney quoted to us. It is unusual do get high quality service for less than typical fees.
Joe was aware that the insurance settlement would not fully make us whole, so he was quite conservative in what he asked for in return. I believe one of the reasons that he can afford to work for more reasonable fees than some attorneys is that, as far as we know, he has no employees. He answers his own phone and Emails, and does his own research and filings. This means that everything is handled promptly in a very professional manner.

Mr. DeGaetano took my case when several other attorneys declined. The other attornies said they did not want to spend their money when we probably would lose anyway. The Co. the suite was against has very deep pockets and the and the wherewithall to drag it out for years. Joseph took my caSE IMM. AND HE GOT RIGHT DOWN TO BUSINESS! lONG STORY SHORTENED, if I EVER NEEDED REPRESENTATION again I would use Joseph DeGaetano and no one else!! Joseph cares when others dont . Dont get me wrong, he does care but he also has the ability to take command of the court room. I learned an awful lot about the law through Joseph and he was a master of the mediation. Joseph DeGaetano was the answer to my problems and through him my dreams were answered . I am very thankful that he came into my life.I dont see how anyone else could do any better. v.m.

From start to finish; my experience with Robin was outstanding. Unlike many attorneys, he is very accessible, and does what he can to help ease your stress. This means a great deal when you are already in the midst of a "less than pleasant" situation. He listens, answers your questions, and truly takes his time to be sure you understand what is, and will be, happening. I hired this law firm to represent a family matter for a extended family member,(In hopes we both would benefit something positive for all of us). I sought to seek help for her because she has been living in her past life and seems to be stuck. For the past two years, I have been supporting the minor child over 98% of the time. The mother has been all over the place including sleeping in her car. I thought enough to help her get a room for one week. I even helped her find employment. I started feeding her. She started acting as if she was grateful. Well. things changed after we went to seek help from this law firm. We went into the consultation and both spoke for the same reason and cause. Quite towards the end of the consultation, I was asked to step out of the conference room, so the attorney could speak to the prospective client. I was then asked to step back into the room. The fee to take the case was disclosed. The payment was processed first then we were asked to walk upstairs to pick up contract. Upon leaving the office, I asked the family member, why did the attorney ask me to leave the room, she responded, "the attorney asked if I could trust you or wanted you to be a part of this case. Recently, I have emailed the office and asked for Nadia Oliver to terminate her services and withdraw for this case. By doing so, this attorney has caused a "conflict of interest:, deception, engaging in misconduct in defrauding by taking my money, then encouraging the client to steer away from me. Trust is earned, and not given. Since we left her office on September 11, 2024, this client has become disrespectful and hateful text messages, just totally off the wall going into a rage with herself, definitely not with me, because I was her support system. Like she was literally asking for help until I hired Nadia Oliver, On or about Friday September 13, 2024 that is when I started seeing the inconsistencies, avoidance, excuses and you name it. The true inhibitions started of these person(s) started showing up. Afterwards, all lines of communications were cut off. If this is not a classic example of taking advantage of a 60 year old senior citizen woman of color race and put a 30 year old female of another race against me, is pure deception, discriminatory and a form or misconduct. All unethical and Unfair Business Practices. Each day, I will exercise my civil and constitutional rights to fight this injustice they display. I will lean and reply on the right entities system to see "just cause" for disciplinary actions. I will continue to seek justice in their conduct and wrong-doings. There refusal to terminate their services and withdraw from this case gives confirmation they engaged in financially abusing me to help another. It is a form of theft. Lets get her to help and get her out of the picture concept. Without someone having the money or interest, in the matter. It was me who had the interest and the mother as the paternal grandmother. Not the client. She ended up benefiting. Without me and my pocket-book, there would not be any services rendered. This is truly unethical and unfair business practices causing hostility between families, then processed my card and remove me out of the picture Talking about ill-will intentions. Discrimination against a woman of color and putting the other family at the center, but use my money to fight for the person and put them against me. Racism at its height. Woman against Woman of Color. Judgmental towards my character. This attorney manipulated this client and had her to go against me to use me to gain services without me in the picture. With this said, I need for you to terminate your services, withdraw from this case and refund my money. How deceptive and prejudice could you be. Coerced client to go against her extended family putting division in a case where I was seeking help for all of us. Not just for one person. How ironic this attorney just met the young lady and gravitated to her like glue. They turn on me because racism is the norm for them.
