I hired Jack Hilgeman after an Auto Accident and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. Jack is a very matter of fact lawyer who sets realistic expectations and then works ward to exceed them.
Because Jack HIlgeman and his paralegal Michelle make an awesome team, both are client driven and focused on results. Unlike the big name law firm who I originally had the displeasure of working with (DGM&S), Jack made sure to keep his promises. Even better, Jack is always available to answer questions via phone or email! I asked a LOT of them and he patiently answered each and every one.

I recently had an issue with my insurance company not wanting to pay an auto claim. It was a complicated case that involved bad faith on the part of the insurance company. Mr. Kelleher was hired to address subrogation issues relating to my brother's personal injury (closed head injury) from a car accident. Due to the severity of the injuries, there was no question from the auto insurance companies that this case was due the full limits of the policies. Upon reviewing the policies and the facts of the case, Mr. Kelleher questioned whether the umbrella policy limits were correct. As it turned out, they were not. This resulted in an addition to the expected settlement of $200,000.00! I'm sure that many attorneys would not have questioned the doc statement from the insurance company resulting in the error never having been discovered. Mr. Kelleher was also successful in a substantial reduction in the subrogation lien, well beyond our expectations! As a result, my brother & his wife have the funds needed to see my brother through his recovery process and beyond. Words cannot begin to express our appreciation for all Mr. Kelleher has done.

I can’t speak for the Law Firm as a whole, but I would recommend not using Lauren Davenport on the Family Law side if you intend to FIGHT for custody of your child. I’ve spent around $10,000 (or more) and she couldn’t even accomplish something as basic as getting a case dismissed for lack of jurisdiction (when in Supreme Court of Ohio has already set a precedent on a similar case).
In my opinion she’s weak. She lets the other attorney and magistrates control the flow of your case. She’s not aggressive at all despite being told constantly to be so. She doesn’t follow your requests for what you are trying to achieve and claims “this or that” will be better but in the end it has zero results. She constantly agrees to agreements that aren’t in your favor and brings it back to you instead of having common sense and rejecting it and demanding a more favorable agreement for her client. Basically none of her legal advice worked in my favor. You hire an attorney to WIN not to be a mediator.
I would only use her if your intention is to settle or it’s a divorce without any disputes. My child was taken out of my home state without my consent and it should have been very easy for her to get results. In the end I had to settle into an agreement that was not in my favor due to her inept handling of my case.
I also do not believe she had my best interest at heart. If you accept the money your goals should align with mine. Your opinion or what you would like to see shouldn’t be part of it. I also believe in at least 1 instance information was willingly or unwillingly leaked to the opposing party.
These people don’t care because they move on with their lives and on to the next case. Unfortunately, I cannot allow that. Not with me. Not with costing me a regular relationship with my son.
