I have never met a nice attorney until Mr. Podein. I thought I was talking to a paralegal assistant and actually asked him if he was the attorney? He is as nice in person as he was on the phone. He was truthful and honest with my case, which is what every person wants when they have to see an attorney. Both my husband and I were impressed with Mr. Podein. Here’s the deal, I’ve used too many attorneys to count. It took one Ric Roane to make a certain a$$hole realize the ‘game’ is over. Ric and his team are beyond knowledgeable and know how this BS works. I needed a fighter. Not only did I get that, but a human that knows how to be kind and patient. Yes, he’s expensive, but take it from me.. if I had him from the start, there wouldn’t have been a middle. Just use him. It’s that simple. Period.

I called because I was having issues with a landlord/tenant. I had called 10+ firms before them and all said they only side with landlords. Then I met Mr. Bradtke! I explained my situation, and was able to berate him with questions. Not only was he super helpful, he took time out of his day to reach out to other firms who have helped people in the same situation as I was going through. He called me back later the same day to tell me what options were. He didn’t even charge me for the help or the time he took out of his day. I HIGHLY recommend using them for any case you may have. Mary Pigorsh made a complete mess of my children’s and my life. I went in to hire her and as soon as I signed and paid the retainer - she passed me off on to Patricia Sheltrown. Mary told me I “could not afford her” (yes, in those words). $65,000 for a horrible divorce that I then had to pay double to another attorney, post divorce, to try and unravel. My ex hired a dishonest attorney here in GR that I used to work for. (Yes, I showed a conflict of interests right away. I was even friends with his assistant. Mary said it was “fine”. No it was not!). Because of what Mary & Patti allowed this unjust attorney to do to my children and I in the divorce, 6 years later - he still tries to beat on us. EVERY single holiday especially.
I reached out to Mary’s bosses to tell them what happened and how much I was charged and actually received (there was never any separation of property, which I was told would happen post divorce. What? No, my ex got basically everything). Mary’s bosses did not care.
DO NOT USE this firm. Run especially if Mary Pigorsh is mentioned.

I was in a car accident and I was injured so I turned to an attorney at Michigan Auto Law to see what the law would afford me. Brandon was the lawyer of my choice and he did great with my case. He kept very close contact with me and he kept me updated and informed. The communication with him was great. If I couldn’t get a hold of him right away over the phone, he would always call me back quickly. He treated me excellent, first class as a matter of fact. He gave me all of my options and he did exactly what I wanted him to do. I didn’t want a long drawn out lawsuit, and Brandon made the settlement quick and easy. I’m very happy with the amount Brandon got for my injuries and the way he treated me throughout the lawsuit. I would recommend him highly. I know I can still call on Brandon whenever I need anything.

After being hit by a car my a delivery driver, I hired Brandon to handle my case. He does not keep me updated- I hear from him once every three months if I'm lucky. When I call and try to get updates, his secretary informs me he's not available, but when I ask when he will be, she simply says "I don't know". So, on top of not taking initiative to keep me informed he is a hard person to get ahold of. Even after leaving voicemails, his average response time seems to be a week. Most concerning is his being adamant that my settlement check has "been in the mail" for three weeks. This is after I sent him my power of attorney form to accept a settlement MONTHS ago. If you care about timeliness, honesty, and communication with your attorney, hire anyone but Brandon Hewitt.

I was the third person from the stop light on Cherry Hill on Telegraph. I was waiting for the light to turn green and I was rear ended from the back at 40 miles per hour. I was taken to the emergency room with a mild concussion. I had concussive effects. My son-in-law is an accident lawyer and likes the attorneys Michigan Auto Law, so I went to him to seek out the best firm in Michigan. Since he is in the same legal specialty, he know which questions to ask to direct me to the right place. From there, I had an interview with a lawyer Brandon Hewitt and he took my case from there. Everybody at Michigan Auto Law is great. Brandon followed through with everything for me, even though I had a smaller case. He did his due diligence to help me. There are some quirks and constraints with the Michigan law regarding car accidents and this firm is even very proactive in getting legislation changed in favor of injured plaintiffs. It makes me happy to see they’re working to change what needs to be changed rather than just shrugging their shoulders and treating people like a file number. Overall I’m very pleased with Michigan Auto Law and the representation from Brandon for everything they were able to do. I would recommend them to anybody.

"Michael D. Weaver" is probably one of the rudest lawyer I have spoken to. I should have hung up within the first 10 seconds after speaking with him. He accuses you of lying, thinks in black/white logic, and have to explain things to him in "1+1 =2" terms (once you spell it out for him, and if he doesn't understand, he accuses you of being all over the place when it's his fault for not understanding EASY concepts; I could tell it takes time for him to understand new materials). Michael is the type of person who only takes on easy cases/money (doesn't have critical thinking skills), sees the world in "his view," and is delusional to think he is right all the time. Within the first 3 minutes of calling him, I called him out and hanged up on him. I spoke with at least 30 lawyers in my life, and those without critical thinking skills is a big no.

Let me just start off by saying for all the negative reviews left by people it’s far from the truth of what and who Varnum is.
I’ve been a client of Varnum now almost 5 years.
I have personally been in the office and spoke with the receptionist ladies, every time I feel welcomed like I am part of the family.

If I could put zero I would, Tina with the smoker voice was so rude, threatening and unprofessional to say the least. At first she was very kind but as soon as I told her I didn’t have the $800 she requested she threatened me with foreclosure and then some. What type of people hire someone this ridiculous 😂 and then to top it off she hung up on me twice! She was so rude to me but as soon as I was rude back she had an issue with me. Apparently they do agreements over the phone too? I wasn’t told that I was agreeing to something over the phone. I’m not 11 😭😂 save your money time and peace, instead of dealing with these people who don’t want to do a job but smoke a pack of cigs. She always so refused to put her boss on the phone which is crazy to me considering she’s the damn receptionist 😂
