Terrible waste of time and money. Gave me a disorganized, computer deficit lawyer with no kids to scream at me the day before court for not taking my feverish children to school.
Fired him, changed court docs after I left.
Charged me 5,000 while NOT filing any paper work besides an answer to defend the night before court although we meet in person more than a week before. Hard to get an appt, sent endless emails and he was still confused at meeting.
Would not file many requested motions, had to be told three times before he could execute. His name is Jeffery Sales.

My initial impression of Ben Summit was that he did not respond very well in resolving conflict. This was because he was slow to respond. However, after having an extended discussion with him (He represents my brother, and I am acting as my own attorney) we had a good discussion of the facts. He was reasonable and easy to talk to. I would recommend John to anyone who has suffered a severe and permanent injury. We immediately connected because I am a doctor. John’s sister is also a doctor. He was great with communicating with me about my case. I was talking with the insurance company about my injuries. They refused to offer any money. When John got involved, I received a payment from the insurance company. He handled my case in a professional manner, was courteous, and friendly. I was hit by a rental car driven by a tourist while riding my moped to work. I suffered a severe injury that require my staying in the hospital for about a week. The insurance company kept trying to delay my case, and John encouraged me to stick with it. We ended up resolving the matter for much more than the insurance company was willing to pay.
When I contacted John, he was prompt, took the time to explain things to me, and I was extremely satisfied with his professionalism. He fought hard against the insurance company and we won! I highly recommend him to anyone who has suffered a serious injury.

Jim Bickerton treats his clients like trash. I was one of them but left due to the unprofessional conduct of that firm. Bickerton and Robert Miyashita must always have "client control" which includes preventing the client from knowing what's going on with the case, not providing the pleadings and not allowing the client to have ANY say in their own lawsuit. But the client has a right to know and a right to make decisions under the rules of professional ethics governed by the Office of Disciplinary Counsel. Do yourself a huge favor and shop around where the arrogancy can't be cut with a knife.

Mr. Lawson was retained in late 2014 on behalf of our daughter after she sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) as the result of an automobile accident while on vacation in Hawaii. We live in Oregon. This case involved three different insurance companies and several individuals. It was a complicated case because the injury (TBI) cannot be observed externally.
This lawsuit dragged on from 2014 to July 2020 because each insurance company had to be convinced to settle. Mr. Lawson kept us appraised every step of the way. At certain points in the years long process it was discouraging. But with Mr. Lawson’s patience and perseverance a successful final settlement was reached.
Mr. Lawson was methodical in his planning and approach to help us obtain the best outcome. He engaged critical subject matter experts that really helped uncover all the facts and magnify the negligence in our daughter’s case. Even with the covid-19 problem in 2020, he managed to move the case forward. He never gave up and the outcome of the case was better than expected.
One great thing about Mr. Lawson is he genuinely cares. Through the years he was instrumental in recommending areas of treatment that we should investigate for our daughter. Not living in Hawaii made the lawsuit more difficult but Mr. Lawson’s excellent communications via text messaging, e-mails and phone conversations helped us through the entire process.
We will always be grateful that Mr. Lawson was on our side. He is highly recommended!!

Very unfair and unprofessional people! Mr Rego told me he would take on my WC case two months ago but I would have to advocate for myself and once I did the things he told me to do give him a call back. Well I did just that today and he decided to say he never told me he would take my case in July, August or September… huh??? What are you talking about…? He said his notes say he would give me advice not take my case. Guess what this was a lesson well learned Moving forward everything must be in writing because this made absolutely no sense!!! Along with he raising his voice and wouldn’t allow me to speak and telling him what I wrote down when we spoke 2 months ago.

Words can't express our gratitude for the level of professional (and personal) care we received from our attorney Bert Sakuda and his vastly knowledgeable legal assistant Tricia Etsler to legally advocate for my case of being a pedestrian hit in a crosswalk. Highly recommended by a former judge, Bert put our concerns increasingly at ease from the first meeting by his calm demeanor and extensive knowledge about my kind of trauma. After that first meeting, my wife simply said, "He knows what he's talking about" as she had years of managing cases for returning combat soldiers wounded in the Middle East.

The bottom line is Miyashita & O’Steen win the cases they accept and do so going above and beyond making sure they are serving their clients needs, not their own! In the broken world filled with obstacLes ofcomplex legal cases you somehow find yourself facing you need an intelligent group of fighters who have “your back” who know how to navigate the hurdles and complexities of a broken legal system.
As all cases are different and rather than bore you with the details of our families case in this review I think it is best to simply say that Miyashita & O’Steen don’t cut corners and they spend the time necessary to make sure you completely understand what transpires during the cases they accept.
