If you are like me, and read all the reviews before hiring an attorney, look no further. I did just that. I read review on countless attorneys in the Houston area a little over a year ago. After seeing all the good reviews for Mr. Romero and his team, I called and had a consultation for child custody issue. I want to thank Attorney Remington for successfully representing me in a recent citation case. I was worried when I received the citation, but Remington put me at ease from our first meeting. He took the time to understand the details of my situation and was very reassuring that he would do everything he could to help.

One word to describe Remington is.....AMAZING! My husband and I hired Attorney Remington Alessi. He isn't like most Attorney's. From the first day we spoke to him about our case to the very end. He was extremely professional, attentive, very knowledgeable and honest. He knows his stuff! He isn't arrogant, but confident! It's a reason he is named "Texas Chainsaw Lawyer" lol. I love the fact that he isn't pushy. He doesn't make you feel like you are getting on his nerves, and he always had an ear to listen. He truly makes you feel like you matter! Anytime we needed to call him, he didn't make us feel like he was so busy and rushing us off the phone. He wasn't like the saying " Money is time". He listens and is compassionate and caring. Jay is a Christian atty and a very caring man. He takes great care of his clients, and will not take your case if he does not feel that you will win. He is careful about explaining what to expect, and what to look out for during the pre-trail, or fact gathering time. He will explain what to look out for and what not to do. His staff is also good about answering questions when Jay is not in. We have been very fortunate because in both cases we settled out of court. No one wants to hire an attorney, and no one wants to go to court. Some circumstances can change that. If you are going to make the decision to hire an attorney realize that this is a law firm, and that you are getting the best in Houston. I would feel comfortable recommending him to anyone. I have used Chris Norton as my attorney on two different occasions. The first was for a case where a car backed into my car; on the second case, Chris helped me file a claim with my insurance company for a hit-and-run accident. The process of submitting a claim and dealing with the insurance representatives was far more difficult than I realized. Therefore, I hired Chris to be my attorney and deal with my insurance company for me, and he was able to get a far better settlement for me than I ever would have gotten on my own. I retained Jeremiah to handle my Bankruptcy and he did a great job. He prepared all the paperwork very quickly, he always returned my calls and responded to my emails, and always had an answer when I had a question. The 341 hearing I had to attend was short and went smooth and I received my discharge without a problem (although it did take about 1 week longer than he predicted - no big deal to me though). I hired Tom Nixon as my attorney to handle a slip and fall case. Although it took longer than expected before my case was settled, I wound up with a much better settlement than I thought was possible. There was a lot more paperwork involved than I expected. I was told in the beginning that my case was not worth a lot of money, then suddenly, the business was offering to settle my case. It wasn't really explained to me why my case went from being worth very little to suddenly being worth more money. However, when it was over I was please with the settlement. I thought the mediator picked for the case could have been nicer, although he settled the case.

I hired Lashon in late 2014. she actually listened to what I had to say. My court date was fast approaching and I thought I was in a great deal of trouble. From the first consultation with Lashon she stood up for me with the opposing attorney and advised me to continue doing what I was doing and leave the rest to her. I then received a summons to appear in court because my ex-spouse wanted me to give up total control. Well Lashon had something to say about that. When the court date came not only did Lashon get my ex-spouse to admit that the children had never missed an event that she had planned, the judge took about 5 seconds to deny opposing counsels motion. It took everything I had not to break out into tears in front of the judge. Then she took the time to talk me through the process after court and told me what to expect next. I unfortunately had a accident flying and Robert was very helpful through the process. I've never had to sue anyone before but Robert made the whole experience very easy for me. He was patient and explained the whole process to me, also gave me advice on what he thought was the best route to take but he ultimately left the decision in my hand. I really respected that and it made me trust him even more. He's very honest, and made me feel very comfortable, like we have been friends for a long time. With his advice that I'm glad I followed. Greg has helped with a complicated marijuana related offense that could have resulted in a prison sentence and was able to get a reasonable probation granted and the ability to keep working without a Texas prison record. I recommend him. He also helped refer another family member in El Paso to a college who helped keep her record clean and remain eligible for a federal job after a small marijuana possession charge was dropped.

I have never experienced a more thorough attorney that is not only personable, but compassionate.
