All the negative reviewers here are spot on. She did not fight for us, and toward the end she dropped our case, two weeks before trial. She didn’t transfer all pertinent information to the new lawyer she chose, and we lost poorly. I still don’t have custody of my child. She was appointed to me I didn’t hire her. I am not an addict or a violent offender or anything of the sort. I was hospitalized and my child was stolen from me because I got sick. I am well and have been for over 4 years, but she made it near impossible for me to get what me and my child deserve. Adequate time together along with loss of custody. For what seems now will be permanent. As others have stated, she allowed the opposing parties attorneys to dominate the case and courtroom with the lawyer. She dropped my case two weeks before trial. She was an emotional mess the entire time we met, she can not do her job effectively. Find someone else.

Would definatly recomend using John as your lawyer. He told me what he could do in my situation and did all that he said. I had FTAs for traffic violations that could have caused me to go to jail and affected my probation in another county. He was able to get me a new court date and handled all requirements before i ever showed up to court. I was even 1st and and 1st out in court because of his dilligently work and was able to avoid sitting in jail over a missed court date. Couldnt have asked for a better outcome.

It is going to be difficult for me to find the words to express the level of heartfelt gratitude I have toward Mr. Thomas S. McGrath’s law firm. I am a single mother of 2 small children who was seeking to purchase a home and found herself being taken advantage of a Real Estate team out of Madison, Alabama. They were in the process of trying to manipulate me into buying a home that they had not repaired as promised and time was running for me with my apartment lease. I had to make a decision to stay in my apartment or take a chance on a house that may never be repaired as promised. I knew I could never afford to take on the repairs they were trying to leave behind. I was receiving threats of being taken to court for not wanting to purchase this home and with their disregard for my situation could have very well lead to the kids and I being homeless. They did not care no matter how much I tried to explain my situation. Needless to say I was scared and was losing hope quickly. I decided it was time to seek legal advice. I was able to speak with a few lawyers in the area but I only got very “broad” answers if you will, which didn’t give me any comfort or direction. I have consulted with Maureen Cooper for two different issues related to divorce and alimony . In the past , the thought of consulting with any attorney was one associated with fear and dread . I have had contact with lawyers in the past who had no genuine desire to help me quickly resolve a problem or to provide straight answers . I had never consulted with an attorney who genuinely wanted to earn the respect and trust of others as much as he wanted to take advantage of my problem for his own profit .
Ms. Cooper is a rare gem because she is competent , straight forward , not manipulative and earnest in her desire to assist people and not exploit their problems to advance herself in an unfair way . She is a good person , and if someone needs an attorney they can trust who will not take advantage of them , she is the first person to call . I hold her in high esteem and feel thankful to know an attorney of her caliber in competence and human decency .

I went to my first disability hearing without a lawyer and the judge there told me that I should not try to handle my hearing alone. I talked to a few people in the area who do this work, but Mr. Forsyth went above and beyond to be helpful and give me all the info I needed, even before I hired him to handle my case. I was happy with the decision I got back from the judge and I would recomend this firm to anyone in the same situation who needs help.

Mr. Forsythe was extremely adept at fielding the process of filing for disability. He is professional and unbelievably patient however I feel it’s best to mention that he is most of all, honest.
He always was upfront about the process and didn’t give me false hope. He managed expectations and kept me in the loop every step of the way. He returned countless emails and called each time he had an update. I’d have been lost without his guidance and wisdom.

The attorney I dealt with was misogynistic. Even though I had my husband’s power of attorney, he wanted to verify with my husband the details of a closing transaction. (My husband lives and works in a foreign country). I had every right to act in good faith for us but he treated me differently than if I had been a man. I would NEVER use them or recommend them for closing on property.

I used Charles Pittman as my law firm after my wreck. Tyler Mann was assigned to my case. I had a broken sternum, neck, and back and Tyler kept trying to push me to settle my case without going to court. I walked away with less than $1,300 for myself and I have had to go thru years of pain management, MRI's, injections, etc ALL from my own insurance bc I listened to him that "this was the best offer we were going to get". So now I have to have my insurance pay for everything and live in pain every day, when I could have had a major settlement. I would not recommend Tyler Mann to anyone.

I generally appreciate how they handled the case itself. They helped me to understand what was important and make sure we did what was necessary.
That being said, towards the end of the case, they asked for an additional retainer which I paid with the trust that any unused retainer would be refunded. I ended up negotiating an early end to the case, which brought it to a close sooner than expected.
After the case closed out I patiently waited for the judge's orders and final executed agreement and it wasn't until I contacted them twice that I was finally given these documents. They told me that their email server had crashed, though apparently they made no effort to verify that necessary communications had gone through.
Once I told them I wanted to close out the case and get my final itemized billing statement it became very difficult to reach them. I had to contact Legal Shield just to get Mr. Campbell to answer.
He eventually sent me a statement with many obvious overbillings, such as:
* an erroneous process server fee (which he admits)
* billing for a subpoena for a court appearance Mr. Campbell missed (which had to be rescheduled, everyone else was there but him)
* billing for me to go back and forth with them to obtain the end of case documents they never sent me
Mr. Campbell said he would review the statement and make any corrections then get back to me. However, since this response from him I haven't heard back from him and it is clear that he is not interested in providing fair and accurate accounting.
I'm not sure what's going on, if he's just busy or if he really doesn't care and thinks it's beneath him to be accountable to his client who's paid him thousands of dollars for representation. Whatever it is, it's unacceptable and he should be ashamed of himself.
I placed my trust in him and was not treated like a valued client in the end. Keep that in mind when you think of letting him hold onto your retainer. You may not get it back and he may not care to be transparently accountable about how it was spent.

Hired John to take on a claim I had against a car insurance company that was incredibly difficult to deal with in settling this matter. The Insurance company's client rear-ended me, sent me to the hospital and I had lasting injuries afterwards. John immediately took the case and spent nearly a year arguing with the insurance company. In the end, he got a huge settlement for me!! Amazing attorney!
