I was referred to Loftin & Leblanc law firm by a friend. I was actually referred to another attorney than the one that is representing my family’s case. Cody Vidrine has been so diligent and has invested a lot of time into the lawsuit that I filed on behalf of my children and myself. I would recommend this law firm to anyone. Personally, I would highly recommend Cody Vidrine to a friend or family member because he has been such a great attorney. My children and I were in a multi-vehicle accident on the 210 Bridge in Lake Charles in March 2021. Anyway, we are still in the process of an active/ongoing lawsuit process against the at fault drivers. It’s been a long 3 years so far. In March 2025, it will be 4 years since the automobile accident and the process has been complicated. My attorney has been very thorough with explaining the process, remaining in contact with me, informative about the case, aggressively and diligently representing my family. After my accident, I was able to get into a nice rental car the same day of my first visit with Mr. Vidrine. Due to having to go to Chiropractic care 3x a week, I ended up losing my job because they would not work with the physical therapy schedule. Within only a few days, I was awarded two of my missed paychecks from me prior job. The Loftin & Leblanc law firm is a very great practice. Their attorneys are very knowledgeable, skilled, compassionate, caring, aggressive and kind to their clients. If you need representation from a highly qualified and competent attorney, I would suggest Cody Vidrine or any of the other attorneys there. My personal experience with this attorney has been great. Although the at fault drivers have not been compliant with their response at all; Mr. Vidrine is ensuring that they will respond to our demands for the settlement. If I could give this google review a 10/10, I would. If you have been in an automobile accident, Cody is the one to call. If you need someone who will diligently and aggressively fight for you; he is the one to call. He has been great and I would retain him again for any other legal matters.

I am the owner of BUDATAN ASIAN CUISINE, and I am writing to address serious concerns regarding the progress of our restaurant project.
For the past two years, we have faced numerous challenges due to the unprofessionalism of our contractor, （Edwin Cruz Construction）. We placed all our hopes and trust in this company, but unfortunately, they have repeatedly broken promises, misused project funds for unrelated work, and caused severe financial shortages. We believe this behavior may constitute fraud.
Despite filing a complaint with the licensing board, we have not received any useful assistance. After paying the full amount based on the initial estimate, the contractor continued to demand more money, blaming underestimations likely caused by his lack of professionalism.
In April 2024, we hired an attorney and sent a demand letter to Edvin Cruz. After negotiations, we paid additional funds, and Edvin promised to complete everything within a month. However, since receiving the extra money, there has been no significant progress, and the project remains delayed through September.
In total, this project has now been delayed for over two years.

I went in for a consultation for full custody explained the situation and talked with John regarding specific stimulations (visitation, holidays, child support, etc.) and after talking with him at length paid the retainer and John got down to business. I believe within 2 to 3 days everything had been filed with the court and then we just waited for court. I was extremely impressed by John and his staff for being so efficient and swift about everything.

My fiancé hired Marcus in May of 2024. They agreed to $10,000 flat fee. My fiancé paid half up front and was supposed to pay $500 monthly. A month later, Marcus was terminated.
In the weeks leading up to Marcus’s termination, he repeatedly told us he was going to call someone for a statement. Marcus said multiple times he made an attempt. The person he was supposed to contact said he never had heard from Marcus. Once the person returned from offshore, eventually Marcus spoke to the person. Marcus had only texted him about speaking in person. Never called like he kept telling us he was doing.
Marcus also made some records request to which he said the people that respond, have 30 days to reply. Almost 45 days later, all Marcus would say when asked on the status of these requests is, “Yeah I’m gonna check on those requests”. He never gave us an update on these requests.
Marcus was scheduled to meet with someone in June 2024. After the meetup and , as Marcus was leaving, I explained how important the case was to our family and how it had adversely affected us. An hour later Marcus texted me. A text I, and others felt was an inappropriate text to send me, his client’s fiancé.
He was fired on June 23rd after he sent an inappropriate text to me. This text was sent while my fiancé had been waiting for hours for an update from Marcus. My fiancé even texted Marcus after his inappropriate text asking for an update, never to get one.
The text said:
“Now all weekend I'm gonna think about you. Wondering how someone so beautiful and so young can lose hope if they saw what I saw”
Marcus also would fail to respond to messages, calls, his business site messaging system. He was not communicative and seemed to not follow through with a lot.
So after Marcus’s firing, Marcus billed us for $5000. We are out all this money and starting from scratch. That’s $5000 we borrowed. A bar complaint has been filed. If attorney’s can screw over their clients and take their money so quickly, then I’m afraid to ever hire an attorney again.

This lawyer made many mistakes on a succession. He failed to note the correct information on tax documentation and therefore ended up having to pay more to have it corrected. Ended up paying for his miscommunication because he decided to proceed without clarification, and when we told him no, that is not what we wanted at all, he charged us for what he did already plus the correction. We even had to call to find out what was going on when he wasn't responding to our emails and guess what? He charged us for that too.
Now after the succession we are still finding mistakes that if he would have taken the time to review the details he would have already found.
