Excellent attorney and very personable. Victor Ruiz is the type of person you want in your corner when dealing with a situation you feel like you cant handle. From the beginning, he makes you feel at ease, he has control of whatever you're facing and guides you in the right path. I had tons of questions throughout the two year period were I was facing a malpractice suit. I am not an expert in law but he is able to explain everything in simple terms were you're able to understand the process. Cant say enough about good things Jeff Berman and his firm. I had an issue where my rights were violated while I was visiting FL. I had actually consulted informally with an Attorney I know in my home state who advised me "there may not be anything worth pursuing and while what happened was wrong, I may just have to let it go". Well, Im happy I decided to consult with Jeff. He took the time to really examine what occurred and he agreed that my rights had been violated and action should be taken. Not only did Jeff take the case, he pursued it aggressively and with passion. I came away very impressed. My goal with my case wasnt necessarily a monetary award as much as it was holding the other parties accountable, but the monetary award Jeff was able to obtain was definitely a pleasant surprise. I worked with Robert a few years ago during a summer internship, and he is a professional, reliable, and ethical attorney.
He has extensive trial experience and is skilled in discovery, depositions, and is aggressive in the courtroom. His passion is Maritime Law, but he does practice in other areas, including PI, Civil Litigation, corporate law.
I learned a lot from him while working on a business dissolution lawsuit involving a multi-million dollar company, and several other cases, including a civil suit against a public school for negligence resulting in a student's homicide. Robert was effective at advocating on behalf of his client's interests in especially difficult cases.
Robert is also unafraid to use technology, something which puts him at an advantage among his peers. I worked with him to create a timeline that we used during a trial, creating a more vivid picture for the judge of the events in the case.
I would be very glad to work with Robert again in the future. There are not many dedicated and honest professionals in the legal profession in Miami, which is why I would recommend his work to anyone.

Octavio has saved my life. I thank him and I'm in debt because in the times I did not know where to turn he was honest, he was fully committed to helping me overcome the problems I encountered, and he gave me the best service. You don't have to chase after him. He always does what he promises. He is easily accessible by phone and email. I feel that he is worth much more than the fees I paid. My first name is Juan. He knows who I am. I give permission to have my cases discussed with anyone that seeks his advice. My cases were very complex and difficult. You will be shocked to know that Octavio overcame all obstacles, he put the time into my cases, and won in court for me several times. Not only did he win, he made the other attorney look like a rookie. I felt embarrassed for the other attorney. He fights hard. He doesn't give you a sales pitch like most attorneys out there before they get your money and then treat your case like he is doing you a favor. About a year ago I contact Ms. Poursine about a car accident that happen when I was on vacation.
I explain to her my situation how the accident was not my fault but the person who literally run in to my car try to blame me and have me pay them 10000 for medical expenses.
