I formally worked as a young professional in high-level management roles, the most recent being a combined role as a Senior Director of Operations and a Nursing Home Administrator (NHA). I contracted a severe, life altering illness (listeriosis) as a result of food poisoning. It caused permanent brain damage resulting in significant, lasting deficits that ended my former career. To be brutally honest, the effects have been utterly devastating. However, I am so thankful to Eric and his colleagues at PritzkerOlsen. He led the team that helped ensure some measure of accountability to those we believed responsible. Nothing can ever make right the injustice done, but his caring nature and his desire to doggedly pursue the case make him a hero in my eyes. I am now able to begin to think about what is ahead as I seek to find my way through a radically changed reality without constant financial worry. I also don't have to rely on my parents for financial security the remainder of my life. I was a victim in a workplace discrimination case, my employer was a metro area county. I first retained a lawyer from one of the big downtown firms. This firm who I will not name did absolutely nothing to resolve my case. The only thing the downtown firm did was leave me with a substantial bill with nothing to show for it.
I then found Chris end it was a night and day difference between him and the other firm. Chris understood the human aspect of my case and understood the ramifications it could have on my career. Chris aggressively worked on my behalf to resolve the case in a reasonable fashion. I thought Chris was a great advocate and looked out for the best interest of me as he worked my case.
Another thing that I was very impressed with was the fact that Chris is a very down-to-earth and sincere person. Chris has an awesome sense of humor and is very easy to get along with.
Chris possesses a vast knowledge of employment law. Chris also took the time to diligently learn the the facts of my case. The aforementioned combined with Chris's relentless pursuit to come to the best resolution in this case for myself really made him shine in negotiations.

Two years ago, a friend and I were hit by a pickup truck crossing the street with stop lights. The guy who hit us was trying to avoid a red light and didn't see us. Because there were no witnesses or videos set up at the intersection, we didn't proceed as we didn't think we had a case. I just received from the insurance company of the gentleman who his us offering us a settlement. Jeff made phone calls and did the paperwork to help me get the settlement!
Jeff is a great guy, wonderful, very professional and worked very hard for me! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a terrific lawyer!

Mr. Braun was my lawyer. I hired him for a restraining order against the person who sexually assaulted me brutally. I was just 16. Not only did he get the job done in the best way possible, he made sure I was okay the entire time and didn't let anyone bully me in court. We won. I was relieved and frankly he had saved my life. Getting that guy away from me was the best thing ever. Do not hesitate, hire this guy. He is awesome. Professional, compassionate, and extremely efficient. Tom represented me last year in a domestic abuse case where my ex-girlfriend accused me of abusing her. Tom was professional and aggressive in my defense. The jury found me not guilty after only 45 mintues of deliberation. I would highly reccomend Tom to anyone accused of a crime.

I can't tell you how happy I am with Jacob and the Reitan team! They were recommended to me by my county assistance worker. After my 1st consultation I was hopeful for the first time in months. What I liked about Jacob was the briefing for my appeal hearing was detailed and had numourus Doctor notes. I also like the fact that he is very thorough when it comes to finding facts to prove why I should receive Ssdi. I did lose my case, yet I am confident that Jacob did his very best. I like that he wholeheartedly was supporting me all the way. I trust that he will do all he can to prove my case to the Appeal Council, in hope that they see something in my favor. The only thing I do not like is I am unable to understand reasons for denial. Jacob is patient when he explains things to me the best he can. He explained several things over and over again and has willing hands to do so. I'm sure not many lawyers would stand up for me the way Jacob does. Kudos.

I could not have asked for a better attorney and accompanying team than what Pam, David, Christina and Tony provided.
Just a few months after the loss of a very close family member, I was in the back of a ride share vehicle that was stopped at a stoplight.
Seconds after the vehicle had come to a stop, a negligent driver crashed into the back of our vehicle at an excessive rate of speed.
The impact caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to the ride share vehicle. The aftermath left me dazed and in pain; with damage to my brain that was visible on subsequent MRI screenings, and temporarily out of work.
An acquaintance of mine who had heard of the situation, recommended that I speak with Pam.
Pam agreed to meet me near my home to discuss the incident. With compassion, she took down my account and helped lay out the foreseeable future.
'Your main focus,' she said, 'is to focus on healing, we'll take care of everything else.'
Over the next 2 and a half years, I was able to do just that.
Dozens and dozens of appointments; ranging from physical therapy to vision screenings to urgent care visits would follow, but if I ever had a question, Pam or someone from her team was there with an answer, or the assistance, I required.
I never once went into one of my own scheduled appointments, or an independent medical exam, feeling overwhelmed or at odds with my own healing.
My main priority was to get better, and Pam and her team were always there to remind me of that and to relieve as much of the ongoing burden from me as was humanly possible.
Now that my case has been resolved, looking back on it all, it is pretty incredible the amount of time Pam and her team put into helping me.
From filing a claim almost immediately after our consultation, to getting compensation for my lost wages, to helping me recover ongoing expenses in an almost real time fashion, to making sure that everyone of my medical bills that I incurred were paid, and paid for in a timely manner. All of that requires so much paperwork to be filed and so much attention to detail to be given, and Pam passed every test with flying colors.
Sure, the experience wasn't completely without distress, the team of attorneys on the other side did their best to discredit me and my claims, to devalue my experience and losses and attempt to diminish my injuries to nothing more than conjured fiction.
But Pam and her team held steadfast, they fought back (using facts and tact) and encouraged me to do the same.
And I am so happy that I did so.

I am so thankful to report that I have mostly healed from my physical and neurological setbacks, and due to her diligence, I was able to offset a large chunk of the financial damage incurred (and avoid ever looming bankruptcy & potential bank forfeitures) because of what she was able to recover.

If anybody that is reading this is wondering who to chose for a defense lawyer i can tell you first hand i never felt so down and out when i got pulled over for a DWI and didn't know who to turn to and i had heard MR.ORWIG was the best at what he does so i called MR.ORWIG the next day after my DWI and it was a sat he came in and met up with him and he never guaranteed a win but told me he would try his best so i had a feeling of honesty so i went ahead and hired him immediately.I got pulled over in march of 2010 and the case was fully dismissed by October.The defense he came up with was unbelievable but it worked.

Tory represented me in 2012. I was charged with marijuana in a motorized vehicle and drug paraphernalia in Carver County. Tory was excellent to work with. Knowledgeable, represented me with truth and I could tell he really cared to help me address the case with as little punishment as possible. Tory never blew any smoke at me, never promised any outcomes of the case but that he would just help me as much as possible, which he did. I eventually had the marijuana in a motor vehicle charge dropped and pled guilty to drug paraphernalia. The outcome of the dropped charge was due to Tory's hard work and knowledge. Tory is an excellent lawyer with the experience that military law requires. I was facing a court martial for a bogus charge and once I hired Tory's law firm (GSL Attorneys), the command decided to move forward with an Article 15 instead of a General Court Martial. The Article 15 was dropped, and I was given a Letter of Reprimand after the command failed to prove their case. It was an awesome outcome for a potentially terrible situation.

I had been Involved in a personal injury case that had drug out for about 2 years. I was supposedly being "represented " by a lawyer hired by Liberty Mutual. This other lawyer gave me release to sign that would entitle me to $548 and Liberty Mutual would gain $24,452.

Our case was a complex Workers Compensation case, which was initially filed in the state of Indiana, since my husband worked for an over the road trucking company based out of Indiana. We reside in Minnesota and the injury occured in Colorado. From what I had read, the case could be transferred to Minnesota. I am so very happy that a friend referred Mr. Unke to me. I slipped and fell on oil at one of the stores of a large chain of stores across the country. After a great time of shopping, I was pushing an overloaded cart toward the exit door. Not seeing a light colored oil streak, I went down to the floor doing the splits (not normal for me) and tore rotator cuff muscles and tendons. Mr. Unke was patient with me. The store wanted to settle and called him monthly. For almost 6 years I first went through therapy. Athletic and chiropractic to try to avoid surgery. Multiple providers. My SI joint was injured also and I was seen for pain therapy and shots. Finally unavoidable, I had rotator cuff surgery. The recovery is as bad as people describe. Now for Mr. Unke's kindness. He would tell me not to worry. That we still had time to settle. To take care of myself. He was so good at checking in on me to see how I was progressing to better health. He worked so very hard for me to get the best settlement possible. He is ethical and trustworthy.
