I met Matthew Kikta at Julian Grey Associates in 2016 when he put together an Asset Protection Trust and associated documents (POA, Last Will & Testament, etc.) for my elderly parents. Matthew is very knowledgeable and professional. When my parents passed in 2022, he helped me by submitting the Inheritance Tax return to the state. Matthew always responded quickly to any emails I sent to him (questions I had regarding how to handle things after my parents passed). His work ethic and knowledge never ceased to impress me. My entire time working with him I always felt that he had my best interest at the forefront of his mind and continued working up till the last minute. I know he spent many nights late in his office working diligently.
I was never out of the loop and he always communicated with me all necessary information. He was able to break down in laymen’s terms the often confusing legal wording so that I was able to understand. He has a good court room presence and is able to think on the fly. He is well organized and was ready to have any information he needed in a moment’s notice. I was informed of all my legal rights and different options that I would be able to pursue, as in depth as I ask for. I never felt that I wasn’t going to get anything shy of his best no matter what decision I made. I had the confidence in his knowledge and ability to give him a lot of control in the case and ultimately my case went in my favor.
Having him on my side helped ease my nerves and kept me relatively low stress due my confidence in his ability. I was always able to talk with him whenever I need it and it greatly helped over the long legal process.

The local township filed legal documents to secure a large portion of our families property through eminent domain for a sewage plant. Bernie represented my son in a case 7 years ago that had a satisfactory conclusion. With the decision of the courts it lead him to the sobriety he enjoys now. Recently he was attempting to rent an apartment in another state and he was turned down because records showed he had a felony. This was incorrect so we contacted Bernie for advice. a year ago i was walking my senior dog on my street. a neighbor whose dogs are all aggressive towards other dogs slipped its collar and tried to attack my dog. she was also walking her dogs. during this i ended up getting bit on both legs.

I cannot speak highly enough of James Tallman Esquire of Elliot & Davis, PC in Pittsburgh and am immensely relieved that I found him online and grateful that he fulfilled every expectation I had about what a lawyer does when representing a client. My case involved numerous complex allegations of breaches of contract, fraudulent and negligent misrepresentations and conspiracy to commit fraud by the parties I was forced to sue to obtain compensation, and with James’ obvious vast legal knowledge and experience, plus his tenacity and determination to win fair compensation for me, he was ultimately successful on my behalf. Throughout the process, I was constantly amazed by his focus and ability to recall a myriad of minor details concerning my case - often things that I had completely forgotten or lost track of.
