I hired these guys because I've used them in the past and they're supposed to be a friend of the family. Unfortunately I thought I was denied for my disability benefits so I hired them however I found out that I was approved not denied. I signed a fee agreement based on the fact that they were supposed to assist me with getting my benefits. They did some light filing for 4000$ and when I brought it up that I don't agree with that, they got extremely rude. They did absolutely nothing to get me approved for my benefits, I DID. I hand delivered the additional information they were looking for before I signed the fee agreement!! Instead of seeing me half way, they are acting like they got me approved and they didn't! I did by bringing them my additional information,my address and phone number was all they needed to approve me. You would think they wouldn't be so petty, but here we are, calling the BBB if no one works with me. They didn't go to court, didn't make any calls..but I hand delivered the information to the Attleboro office then they approved me. I did not require the service because I was approved. Come on! I'm disappointed. The Duffy's will not be using him anymore.

The attorneys here are weak, inexperienced and ineffective. Their motto is "counsel first" but they never knew what to do while working on my case. I should have listened when others told me not to pick an attorney from the RI Bars attorney referral service. That's just a paid for ad service basically. I can also tell they have fake and/or paid for reviews on here. Kind of a testament to what you get with them, a bunch of marketing with little else. I've dealt with everyone who works here to some extent, including Jeremy Howe some years back, and not one of them is equipped to do a good job for you in or out of court in your legal matter. Not one. I'll just leave it at that. Look elsewhere if you need representation.

Bill was a strong advocate for the best interest of my children, as well as a strong advocate for equal parenting rights for Fathers regarding placement, religion, and medical decision making.
What I can't stress enough is his vast knowledge of the Family Court laws, rules and culture in RI; his inciteful guidance with me during a very difficult period; his ability to keep me focused on what was most important, especially when the long duration of the process and multiple court appearances in Washington County Family Court wore on me.
The outcome for my boys resulted in equal parenting time and rights w/their mother and me, along with a solid consent order. I highly recommend Bill.

I contacted this law firm about completing a standard will. I intentionally chose them as a woman-owned firm. While they were communicative at first, they never responded to confirm a meeting we set and didn't respond to my 3 follow up emails. I definitely can understand things can get busy, but it was disappointing to go through the leg work of finding them, contacting them, setting a date and then having them ghost me. I was unimpressed with the unprofessionalism of the attorney and the office assistant.

My case was settled all I received was $30,000 for permanent back & neck injury. It's been over 5 yrs. since the settlement & I still have bill collectors contacting me for payments which Wayne was supposed to pay. I know two other people that weren't satisfied with him. Never again.

If you need a family lawyer to fight for you and provide the service you pay him for, then Adam is not your lawyer.
I contracted Mr. Northrup recently to help me enforce my parenting visitation rights, as the mother of my daughter had prevented me from seeing her. And to make the court aware the mother of my child has prevented me from seeing her in the past.
Therefore, another goal was to sue the mother of my child for blocking me to see my child whenever she feels like it and to not remove the restraining order I have against her.
Long story short, Mr. Northrup ended up having the visitation rights as the top priority, ignored the reason why I had a restraining order despite explaining him multiple times it had to be there out of safety for myself. He did not even bring up the fact I had brought this case to court as a reoccurring issue.
He then sided with the defendant's (mother) lawyer who at one point during a court hearing called him his "brother" and let him grill me during the court while Mr. Northrup stayed silent.
On the other hand, when it comes social skills and professionalism he has none.
For instance, on the day I paid him to work on my case, he said he will call me on a specific day to get his case going and he did not. It got to the point I had to call his lawyer partner to remind him he had to call me.

She is unprepared or either that does not care. Very difficult to get in touch with. Huge lack of communication. Went to trial on a case that I wanted to fight because it was something that I did not do or have involvement with. She never showed me the report or anything until the day of and things were incorrect and also a false statement. She let me sit there and sink. The outcome I ended up paying a fine for a vehicle. The owner had
claimed that I broke a window in which the person did not even have the car or not did it ever exist. Prior to trial I gave her plate numbers and an address to the oners house and car. She never followed up. There is so much more. Do not waste your time with her or money.

I hired Misty for a family court matter and she completely mishandled my case. She would show up to court late or not at all. She never read anything in my file and she kept asking me the same questions that made it apparent that she did not take my case seriously or my situation at all. She did not speak up for me in court nor did she represent my case in an appropriate manner. She took my money and did nothing for it. I found out a year later that she was fired from her job because of her negligent behavior. Best decision that firm ever made. I wouldn't let Misty represent me for free. She is that bad.

Worst law office ever. The man who run this office was married to the secretary in the front. The secretary runs the whole office. If the secretary is not happy with you, they will deny your case and turn you down. Find a better lawyer. The experience that he has made him a respected man with prosecutors as well as his clients all you have to do is look up his past and find out that he is the best lawyer in New England. He was unable to obtain medical records for months on my case. I got them on my own in 1 week. His legal assistant, Shawna, was just as bad. After getting the records, I went to another lawyer and already have a demand in to the defendant. Greg said he couldn't get any damages. Stay away and find a competent lawyer!
