I am a client of Ms. Quinn and paralegal Peg, and she won my case in settlement. I met Colleen from a referral of a referral. I was facing a hostile work environment because of my sexual orientation (I'm a gay pastor/Chaplain) at the Veteran Affairs Hospital. I filed a EEOC against the Veteran Affairs and won with Colleen leading the fight. She was costly for me, but was worth the risk. I say that not only in hindsight after winning the settlement, but I say this because I watched her advocate for me, with me, and I felt was with me throughout all of it. In my David and Goliath battle against the Federal Governement, Colleen and Peg picked up our little stones of my story and just like the story reveals, we won. In September I received a reckless driving ticket in Henrico, VA. Since this was my first ticket, I was obviously terrified. After asking around for a good lawyer, my friend’s dad recommended I look into Ali. I reached out and he communicated quickly and efficiently. I met him right before court where he asked me a few questions about myself. He then walked in with me while assuring me that everything would be ok. He introduced me to the judge and told her my story. He asked the judge to drop the charges and got the entire case dismissed. I highly recommend him for his efficiency and integrity. Thank you Ali!

Claude is an expert, he knows what he is doing and he will get it done. He knows how to handle a case and I doubt he would take one he couldn’t win. That being said he stays busy!!! I cannot express in words how grateful we are to Claude Whitehead for his expertise and guidance through a very scary situation. We made the mistake of hiring a cookie cutter attorney for my son's reckless driving ticket. The original lawyer never questioned anyone or anything in regard to the ticket. His plan was for my son to complete 50 hours of community service, do the driving course and get character letters to present to the court. The first attorney told us to be there at 9:15 for court at 9:30 and he walked in at 9:50 without even introducing himself. He never questioned the police officer or how he obtained his speed even though I told him that there was two different speeds listed on the ticket. After my son's conviction he told us that we got what he was hoping for, my son kept his license and no jail time. However, he did get a misdemeanor (which is permanent) on his record which was the main thing we were trying to avoid. He clearly had no plan to try to challenge the ticket. We asked to appeal and he basically laughed and said we'd likely see a harsher punishment if we did. The attorney was unprepared to present any information we had sent him to the judge, was late and didn't even know who my son was. We decided the appeal was the way to go and after talking to several lawyers our search ended when I spoke to Mr. Whitehead. He was understanding and compassionate and ready to hit the ground running. He made no promises but boy did he deliver! He laid out a very detailed plan and stuck to it. He was very easy to communicate with and always responded quickly. He explained the how and the why and we always knew where we were with everything at all times. Not only did the charge get reduced to speeding, but the misdemeanor was gone and the fines significantly lowered. If you are looking for a speeding or traffic ticket save yourself a lot of time and worry, call Mr. Whitehead first. We wish we had.

I was charged with DUI. I contacted Riley & Wells and was assigned to a very intelligent and competent attorney, Joseph Dean II. Throughout the process I felt that I had an individual who cared about the process - defending his client along with abiding by the law. He researched cases that pertained to my case and worked through lab results that were suspect, all helping my NOT GUILTY decision. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Dean as an attorney in any circumstance and would be glad to have him (hopefully it won't come to that) in my defense should the necessity arise.

Mr Dean was straightforward and honest with me from the first time we spoke on the phone. He showed up to court prepared and provided a fierce defense. The judge continued my case for three weeks due to a lack of precedent (there weren't any cases similar to mine in case law). Three weeks later, Mr Dean returned to the court room on my behalf. His line of reasoning was impeccable and the judge rendered a not guilty verdict. Do not be fooled by Mr Dean's youthful appearance. He is a passionate attorney who is committed to providing a thorough defense.

Please do not hire this attorneys office. My friend is getting scammed as we speak. This office first reported to having no knowledge about the checks nationwide sent them. These checks were sent in early March and April. I was not aware or even notified that money had been rendered. The checking totaled nearly $ 10,000. Back in late August I received an letter from Nationwide asking why one of the check hadn't been cashed it. I said huh to myself. What check, what money. I thought my attorney and I were still in negotiations. I called Nationwide trying to find out why checks were sent in the first place and where they sent them. They said there were 4 different checks. . The first one was sent in March totaling $3,500+ the second sent in April total $4500+ a 3rd check in June for +950+ and a 4th check in July for $250+. It was the 4th check that hadn't been cashed that alarmed Nationwide which then alarmed me. When I reached out to the law office they stated the hadn't recieved not one check. A few days went pass and he stated oh I did recieve them but I do not know who cashed them. Like what!!!!! He is now stating he does not know where that money went or who cashed them. Although the check were written in his law company's name and my name. We spoke earlier and now he is stating a talked about settlement offer in the amount of $16,000 has me walking away with only $3000. He is saying the chiropractic office is taking $11,000. But what happened to the $10,000 Nationwide sent for medical payment. If the chiropractic isn't medical than who is. Either the way either the law office is trying to double stack or the chiropractic office is and they are working together to scam me. Do not trust this company.

I consulted with Mr. Simopoulos regarding my severance agreement. He listened and really understood the facts of my situation. He gave me thoughtful advice about what I could ask for (or what he could ask for on my behalf). As a former lawyer myself, but not an employment lawyer, I appreciated the candor and depth of experience he brought to my questions. I was pleased that if litigation or the prospect of litigation had been necessary to accomplish my goals, he would have been able to handle that, also.

I dropped this firm as of 08/22/24. It has been a hassle to get in contact with paralegal Grace and attorney Maranada. After getting another respond of “I’ll leave them a message”, I stated I do not want to be represented anymore. (It has been a month of waiting.) Before I could finish I was hung up on. I called back to give them the rest of the information and was joined by rudeness. All of sudden, I get a call back from Maranda, finally. She immediately spoke rudely and with an attitude. Never could tell me the dates they called/left a message or confirmed the number; not even confirming the email provided. Never even emailed me! Instead Maranda kept asking for documents about case. Leaving me to reiterate that I do not want to be represented by them anymore. Instead of going back and forth and being rude, they should’ve been empathetic, professional, and polite. At end of call, I requested to have documents emailed to me regarding that I no longer want them representing me, as well as insurance communication denying me after months of saying I’m not at fault. (I hired firm after I was told their driver was at fault and was waiting for compensation.) This is bad business!

I was recently awarded my SSDI case with the help of GGL Law Firm. He, and his assistant, Anne are knowledgeable, professional, compassionate, determined, extremely responsive and organized. Calls were never screened and they pick-up or respond to you immediately. They made sure I understood the facts of my case. Mr. Lutkenhaus did not give false hope and most of all, encouraged me to be honest about my disability. It’s very hard to discuss the disabling conditions due to my young age, but he made sure that no favorable facts were unturned during my ALJ hearing. A relative applied for social security disability benefits and had the claim denied. I was asked to help and began to research the social security disability application process. The statistics of denial although staggering were pretty easy to find. It seems that about 67 percent are denied initially and the figure jumps to about 87 percent for reconsiderations. Apparently your chances of success for reconsideration are even lower if you don’t appeal after the initial denial which was the case for my relative. Although I am retired while employed I valued contractors that had memberships in professional organizations specific to their trade or profession. This is the approach I used to help the relative retain a lawyer well versed in social security disability law and contacted NOSSCR – the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives and asked for the names of local members. Much to my surprise only two members worked in the Richmond metropolitan area. Gerald G. Lutkenhaus had far better reviews. From the beginning it was clear that Mr. Lutkenhaus was well versed in social security disability law, rules and procedures. I actually read an entire book on SSA disability before I joined the relative for the initial meeting with the GGL Law Firm. Everything I read was confirmed ten times over. GGL had both the knowledge and the essential experience needed for these types of cases. I must confess that my dislike for most lawyers is that they charge you for every minute you talk to them and they nickel and dime you for everything and anything they can which is definitely not the case with GGL. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Anne the paralegal at GGL. Anne too has an encyclopedic knowledge of social security disability law and procedures and is extremely responsive to emails and phone calls. So what’s the bottom line? Our relative had a hearing 9 months after the first meeting with GGL and was granted a favorable outcome. GGL beat the statistics!!!! I certainly would recommend GGL without hesitation.

I was hit by a drunk driver who fled the scene and was later arrested. My vehicle was totaled, I was in PT for 9 months and Keith Marcus and his staff were by my side every step of the way! You would expect a lawyer who “only gets paid when you get paid” to not be concerned about your well being until you have been released by the doctors. Not Mr. Marcus! He checked on me regularly to make sure I was feeling better and reassuring me that he would handle all the paperwork that came my way and for me to just focus on getting better. Sooo Mr. Boyko was my court appointed attorney. I called his office 4 separate occasions. No call back. I still had to show up in court, and surprise, surprise he did not show up.... So as you can imagine I let the judge know, and it was continued and I decided to hire my own... it's all about the money, if you are willing to spend I'm quite sure he will represent you well, however if you have other financial circumstances.... go a different route.
