3 felony accounts of DUI w/ injury and $220,000 bail amount. After talking with Kit (Codys team lead) he pulled no punches and told it to me straight. I had waited over a year ... saving for a defense always looking over my shoulder.
It was time ... so I had a sit down with Cody ... from that day forward I was in great hands.

due the circumstances of my case and his ability to work with the DA .he was able to work a agreement plea that kept me out of prison and will be reduced to a misdemeanor.

I travel alot on business and rely on my license. I recieved a notice that my license was being suspended due to an unpaid citation. I contacted central coast criminal defense and explained that I had never recieved a ticket in San Luis Obispo. I'll be honest, I thought no one would believe me but I was wrong. Kit listened to me and told me he would contact the court immediately have them pull the original citation and work on proving someone had stolen my identity. I put all me trust in this law firm and they delivered. The warrant was removed and ticket dismissed and my license was saved. Thank you Kit, Cody and Adrienne for all the work toy did on my case and saving my job.

A few months ago my son, who was living in California at the time, was arrested for Grand Thief of an Automobile. Not knowing anyone else living in California and being located on the other side of the country, I had to find a lawyer to represent him. I performed the usual internet searches and came across Central Coast Criminal Defense (CCCD) and I read about the firm.
After reading up about the firm I was convinced that they would be my best chance to be able to help my son in defense of the charges against him. Cody Christiansen and Kit Westbrook fought very hard in defense of my son. Since it was his first offense they were able to get the charges reduced to Joy Riding which is a misdemeanor. This saved my son from a felony charge and possible jail time to only a three year probation.
I am very satisfied that I chose CCCD I would recommend them to anyone who needs a great criminal defense attorney. They will work hard to get the best possible outcome for the charges against you.

And this means that whatever the final result, you can feel confident that it was the best outcome possible under the circumstances surrounding your case. Moreover, Earl keeps you informed of all developments in your case, and he is always available to discuss your concerns and answer any questions, which is so important considering being charged with a crime is already stressful enough without being kept in the dark by your attorney.
I was arrested and charged for suspicion of driving under the influence and the initial blood results from the crime lab showed a blood alcohol content of 0.09%. It appeared that my goose was cooked and that I would end up with a DMV suspension AND a criminal conviction. But Earl did not simply roll over and advised me to take a deal for a first time DUI, like most attorneys do. No. Instead, he retained his own experts who performed additional testing on my blood sample and they returned with a BAC of 0.07%!!! But he did not stop there. He then subpoenaed all the evidence in my case, including the video of my driving and arrest, and he studied this evidence very closely, identifying every instance where the arresting officer had lied on the police report and poking holes in the prosecution's case. In the end, the DMV set aside my suspension and returned my license, and with their case against me now eviscerated by Earl, the prosecution was reduced to offering me a deal where I would plea to reckless driving, without the presence of alcohol (Dry Reckless), which I accepted. I have no doubt that had I chosen to spend the time and money to go to trial with Earl, we would have prevailed. But I live in Southern California and it simply did not make economic sense for me to push the matter to trial. If you get in trouble and need a skilled advocate, I highly recommend Earl Conaway.

He was advocating all sorts of things that would cost a lot of money and drag out what seemed so simple since my ex and I had worked out most of the details. Nancy then suggested to me that I ask for a lump sum from my ex to finalize everything and compensate for the unresolved issues that we had. Her suggestion worked and we finalized everything without the need for further attorneys fees (other than the cost of a mediator to draw up the Settlement Agreement.) Although this was not a huge claim - many other lawyers would deem me low priority- -Sean was very responsive, returned my calls promptly, kept me updated every step of the way. He was actually able to procure a settlement 20% higher than we had agreed upon.

I was a victim of a Hit and Run as well as my grandson's Golden Retriever dog. I want to take a moment to thank the entire staff at the Daniel J. O'Neill law office in SLO town for their 2+ year work handling my neck injury claim. When I was involved in what I thought was a typical rear end accident in 2019, I didn’t realize my neck complaints would persist and worsen over time. It got to the point where conservative measures were not providing any relief but I had gotten to the point of just accepting that the pain I had was something I would need to get used to. After an initial consultation with his law office, Mr. O’Neill surprising offered to file a claim on my behalf. Not only did he offer to represent me, he also provided a different perspective regarding pain clinic procedures that were not previously considered. After several unsuccessful procedures locally in the Bay Area, he referred me to Dr. Jordon, a Pain Specialist in Santa Monica, that was able to identify the source of injury after specific diagnostic testing. It took approximately a year of procedures and tests, but eventually we were able to find some relief and resume a more normal lifestyle with the family. During this whole time, I never inquired about how much this case might be worth since my main intention was getting pain relief.
Throughout the whole process of collecting records, submitting forms and discovery, the entire office staff was patient, respectful and thorough. It was clear that the behind the scenes work of the case was extensive. Mr. O’Neill and the support staff spent countless hours with preparation for our deposition, the IME and progressive negotiations with the insurance provider. In the end, with much diligence and savvy negotiations, I received a settlement beyond any of my expectations. I understand the settlement will not cure my neck issue, but it does provide some peace of mind for covering future care and future needs of my family.

After consultation, Mr. O'Neill agreed to take on my car accident case. He gave me instruction on what information he needed me to gather for him; police report, hospital and medical records etc. and I got busy doing just that. I called him back to explain that the hospital could not forward my records for a month to which he replied that it was fine. Just after I received the records and had compiled all the required information, I received an email from Mr. O'Neill's assistant that he was too busy and would no longer be helping me. I was devastated! I emailed and phoned him once, imploring him to please help me. If he was too busy at the time, i was willing to wait, but he still refused. i had only spoken to him a few times initially and the one other time regarding the wait for hospital records, so i wonder if it was not for some other reason than just being 'too busy' as I was willing to wait. I had spent much effort and money to gather all my information and records together ready to send to him. If Mr. O'Neill had indeed become too busy, then I feel it would have been respectful and more appropriate to refuse to represent the new cases rather than refuse my case that he had accepted a month prior. after my initial consult with Mr. O'Neill, i felt so hopeful and thought I had found a good, caring person to help me. Words cannot express the emotional devastation I felt when he 'dumped' me as it was during a very tragic and difficult time in my life. I feel Mr. O'Neill treated me disrespectfully and uncaringly.
