In my experience the best legal council is a balanced one.
A firm that will not only represent your side but will also be professional, courteous, understanding of your issue, and educational. One that will offer a range of options or plans of action depending on the circumstances. Mr. Corchnoy is one of the most knowledgeable education attorneys that provided extremely useful, precise guidance and/or information even when his schedule was full. He made time to assist us and he actually provided direct answers to our questions and concerns instead of providing vague non responsive answers. After contacting several attorneys referred by the Florida Bar Referral Service, we reached out to Mr. Corchnoy, and bingo. This is the one we were looking for and his guidance put us on our path to success. He can and will do the same for you.
Once you contact him, he can guide you through whatever mess it is that you face in the field of education or administrative law. I got into a bad accident. My car was totaled and I was out of work for weeks. Michael Ortiz ended up being a big mistake. He was friends with my chiropractor and both of them made a pretty penny while I got peanuts. He insisted that I accept the first offer from the insurance company which left me with 2500 dollars. I lost more than that the first week of work that I missed. I feel strongly that ANY other lawyer there is could have done a better job. I am also convinced that he needed the money more than I did. Do yourself a favor if you have an accident and get ANYONE besides him to handle it. I would have been better off by handling it myself and that is a fact.

This attorney gave me bad advice cost me $13,000 as of right now due to his bad advice on top of it. He did absolutely nothing but get me deeper in debt. This man is as dishonest as the day is long. Do not hire this attorney at any cost elsewhere. He never returned text messages. I would Go for extended periods of time never hearing from him and when you did try to give him information, he complain worst Attorney I’ve ever used and I have to have to file a complaint with the Florida bar because of him he’s done nothing but caused me financial difficulty. He’s destroyed my credit DO NOT HIRE HIM ! I now have to hire another attorney to do what he could not do! I now have to file a complaint with the Florida bar because of the situation that this attorney got me into and he is completely responsible for this situation. I’m bad advice from him and here he is billing me for the problem he caused it’s insanity.

We are so grateful for Tim Rudge and his paralegal, Mitzi for their work on our case. To start, they rescued our stalled case from our own bad choice of first attny. Tim took over and got our case going in the correct direction right away. He clearly explained every step and option we had in our case and executed our choices promptly with no ego or agenda. Tim and Mitzi were always easy to reach, we never waited more than 24hrs for answers. I have showed up at Mr. Christiansen’s office, over Halloween last year, I was very overwhelmed having to go through the first time in my life, with my injury and needed help.
He has shown so much care, and took his time to explain everything to me, and made sure I understood I was in great hands with him. He has been there for me since day one. I could have not asked to have a better representation then him.

I cannot recall positive experiences with this attorney. I hired Mr. Christiansen after a work related injury to handle my Workers Compensation case. In our first meeting he seemed attentive and interested in the case. After I signed the retention form he suddenly changed. As days went by I started receiving paperwork from the insurance company and others. I had questions. I call Mr. Christiansen many times however he would state that he was busy. I email him. with the same results: no answer. I had to eventually find my answers to legal questions through Google searches. Mr. Christiansen never available. This negligent attitude continued for several month. I eventually received a letter for a deposition and also a mediation appointment in front of a judge. Once again I tried to call him. Not available. I finally email Lancaster & Eure, law office where Mr. Christiansen works, stating that I needed his help, also stating my displeasure of his careless attitude toward my case as an injured worker.
After never receiving an answer to my calls for months he finally called me the next day to his office. As he literally slammed legal books on his desk he fired me as a client ten days before a deposition and a coming mediation in front of a judge.
He never answered any questions about my case, neither helped me on my case as an injured worker. He left me with many questions having to find another attorney halfway.
In my personal experience Mr Anderson doesn’t seem to care about the average guy that is injured on the job, he is unprofessional, vindictive and rude. Avoid a negative experience and work with a different workers compensation attorney in Sarasota Bradenton.

We had a medical malpractice case that lasted several years. But, through it, all George stayed dedicated to the case and really delivered. During the proceedings it was very evident that he and his team really did their research and they put on an excellent case. Also, throughout the process, he kept us informed of what his strategy would be and kinds of things we could expect during the depositions and trial. Not only did we finally get our day in court but in the end we were awarded the judgement. Thank You George McClain! He is a dependable man of integrity who we very much appreciate. We have recently moved but George will always be our legal point person.

If I could give less than one star, I would. Jamie is all too happy to take money, but not happy to be held accountable for the job for which you hire her. She and another lawyer screwed me and my kids, and when I begged and pleaded for her to fix it, make it right. She told me it wasn’t going to affect me and she didn’t know why I was worried about it (see attached email response). To this day, it does affect me, and my children, and she simply didn’t care to make it right after happily accepting thousands of dollars. I am still dealing with a case that she didn’t fix and reached out again to try to have her resolve but she doesn’t even bother to answer. I had to file a bar complaint for her to respond only for her to tell me she feels she did her job. If that were the case why doesn’t the state recognize the order she filed and why won’t she fix it? This lawyer has no integrity, so if you want someone who will take your money and offer no help, this is the lawyer you want. She is overpriced and doesn’t even do her job. It’s a wonder she hasn’t be disbarred.

I had a horrible experience with Icard Merrill, I retained Lindsey Meshberger for a divorce case. There was a constant lack of communication but the 3 biggest problems were #1) changed her hourly billing, one month after retaining her and then when I asked about it, I received no reply. #2) Told the judge in court that the reason she lacked information on my case is because she just received the case when she had the case for 4 months prior. #3) I was not even informed of a case management hearing that I had until it was over and couldn’t participate. At this point, I don’t know whether to consider this maltreatment racist or negligent. Her paralegal, Kathie Summa was god awful and argumentative whenever approached with any concerns. This is an honest review from my very REAL experience with ICard Merrill. I understand that everything can not go my way in a case but there is a level of professionalism and transparency that should be handled with any business, that was not done with ICard Merrill.

We got tired of it so hired another lawyer and when the lawyer looked in to the case he found out that whitney coyne lied about two motions he filed. The man didn't even file the motions. VERY HARD to get a hold of even during business hours, and WAITS UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE if not longer to prepare witnesses you provide and important information for your case. Hired Whitney for a restraining order as well as domestic abuse charges involving the same person. Told upfront taking care of the situation(s) with person to be handled was $5000. After ONLY FILING the injunction he refused to do any further without further pay, even to just move for contempt of court when my restraining order was violated!!!! Overpriced and absolutely not worth it. Paid 5k for something SPARC could’ve done for free and was left feeling abandoned when I asked for help involving the same case. Not aggressive in court, I was verbally attacked by the defendants lawyer and he never objected or interrupted once on my behalf.

I hired Dana J Watts for a civil issue I had with a local business which is known for conning customers. Mr. Watts didn’t provide his fiduciary duty. Mr. Watts also billed me beyond what was agreed upon, what was against his own advice to me in our first meeting. He referred to the defendant’s lawyer as a nobody and said that he would know he has to back down if you hire me. All Mr. Watts did was con me like the business I hired him to go against.
