I was in a really bad hit and run car accident June 6, 2023. I took my time to review plenty of attorneys before I found Boohoff Law. The reviews I read about them were unbelievailable. So I decided to call them. The very next day Michelle Pieller reached out to me and started working for me right away. Within days they found all my medical services & facilities I needed right away. Not only they found them right away but everyone of them were within 5 miles or less away from where I lived. As a matter of fact my very 1st service was within walking distance but of course I drove because of the car accident I was just involved in. Jocelyn and Linsey were the key players in helping complete my case when I was rear-ended. I was recommended them through word of mouth and I would definitely recommend them to others as well - the process was kept clear and they communicated the process very well with me. Retained Mike to save my nephew and his career in Air Force. My Nephew had exceptional performance and commendations in Air Force for 15 years until he was injured overseas in line of duty. After his injury due to insurgents attacking his plane and explosion sending concrete hitting him in his chest fracturing his back. flight surgeon stated he likely just bruised his chest he was OK to proceed with mission. Upon his return to his base in WA he was having problems with his leg walking and pain. He went to medical they said he pulled a muscle gave him muscle relaxer. This went on for over a year until his leg gave out and he fell. He was taken by ambulance to hospital ER in excruciating pain in his spine where doctor advised his back was broken. It was determined his back was fractured in line if duty injury and over time in extreme pain and collapsing his back finally broke. A six hour surgery to repair and put a cage over the injured spine all this could have been avoided if he had had proper medical care at time of his injury. The ongoing pain from this injury my nephew was self medicating with alcohol his command told him to self report and he did and the campaign of harassment started. They immediately took away his responsibilities and his Stripe. Between the pain from his broken back and the harassment by his Command as well as humiliated at loss of his duties and stripe as he was pending going up for Master Sargent we were concerned at his drinking, depression , and he was placed on no less on 8 medications he should not of been on we feared he would take his life. I decided to get him an attorney to put a stop to this harassment that was unrelenting. By
grace of God I was referred to Mike he took the case and immediately put a stop to the Command harassment. The battle was just beginning the command then wanted to Court marshal my nephew. Mike went
before a Board and won case of the command harassment and improper procedures in treatment of my nephew. Then a new Commander took over took another stripe from my nephew and due to my nephews destroyed mental health and due to drinking was in liver failure locked him up in Brig for 6 months. Then proceeded with court Marshall. At this point my. Nephew was due to retire from military and was entitled to disability. Mike put up an excellent excellent defense at trial and my nephew was able to retire with general discharge snd collect his disability as he is not able to work due to his broken back. This was a long journey but Mike was there every step for my nephew and our family provided he always promptly answered our questions and concerns and checked on the well being of my nephew. His determination and knowledge of law is Extrodinary and his care as a human being for is clients and their families goes above and beyond. If you need an attorney you can't afford not to have Mike I am so thankful we had him. Cannot thank him enough for the great job he did and his integrity as a person as well as an attorney.

Working with Khan Injury Law on my personal injury claim was an incredibly frustrating experience. For nearly two years, communication was almost nonexistent, and progress on my case was completely stagnant. Jennifer Puckett, the Senior Paralegal assigned to my case, never followed up with me—not once. I had to reach out to her every single time, and each interaction felt like pulling teeth.

Unfortunately, I was involved in a motor vehicle accident January of 2020. I had attempted to resolve the claim with the other carrier, however my ongoing injuries and prognosis made it clear I would need help resolving my claim. We had reached the statute and needed to file suit. Melissa did a great job of explaining the process, preparing me for my deposition and later the mediation with the other carrier and setting clear expectations regarding settlement. I felt that she truly listened to my concerns and was advocating on my behalf, not just trying to get a case off her desk or get me to accept an offer I didn't feel was fair. She paid attention to the information I provided and knew my case when discussing it with me or the mediator. She exceeded my expectations when it came to settlement and resolution of my liens with my PIP carrier and health insurance. In the summer of 2019, I was hit by a car while riding my bicycle. Fortunately, I do not remember the accident. The EMT’s put me into an induced coma at the scene of the accident and after a few days in the hospital I was brought out of the coma.
After waking up, all I wanted to do was to get out of the hospital and back to work in a business I had just started. I felt that the aches and pains were just a distraction from the dedication I needed to make the business successful. My punctured lung, broken ribs, broken other bones, smashed in face, missing teeth, my body numb from the hips down, and a severe head injury with a hematoma could just be ignored. Maybe I was not thinking straight!
My wife suggested that we should sit down with an attorney regarding the accident, and I reluctantly took a meeting with Paula McCandliss from Brett Law. I wasn’t keen on lawyers, and I did not put much effort into the meeting. My thoughts were that I’d quickly get over my bumps and bruises and Paula would be wasting her time with my case. Well, I was not thinking straight, and thank goodness for Paula putting up with my callousness.
The physicians and hospital staff did a respectable job putting me back together, but it’s hard for them to determine the extent of the injuries, and of course the medical profession cannot get you back to 100%. After my discharge It took time for me and my primary physician et. al. to determine my ongoing care and what medical problems would be permanent.
Let me say this- I was fortunate to have met Paula and her team at Brett Law. They were always personal, professional, and caring, and not to mention they worked tirelessly on my case. It was ‘my bad’ to assume that they were just a firm chasing an ambulance. To my ignorance, I didn’t perceive the onslaught of hospital and specialty physician invoices, the art of dealing with medical and auto insurance companies along with collection agencies on invoices that were never presented to me. Paula helped us get through all these unforeseen hurdles with kindness, legal insight, and experience.
