A 30-month legal nightmare of proving my innocence and residency came to an end on May 7, 2024. It was Attorney Donna Jean Kuchler and her team who believed and fought for me during this ordeal. I remember early on when Donna said, "We intend to mount a vigorous defense." I believed in her and she believed in me. There is no one I would trust more than Donna Kuchler and her law firm. They prepared for my court trial filing numerous motions to dismiss, including those that were sent to the Court of Appeals.
Together we fought the fight, ran the race, and I was found not guilty on all 7 felony charges and was fully acquitted by the judge in a court trial. I have my life back. My life is different but I am free.

My ex boyfriend who had lived with me for 10 years wanted half of everything I had after he had already agreed on and cashed the $20,000 cashier check that I had given him for half of the home improvements he helped with. Attorney Greg Jerabek won the case in less than a year and I did not have to pay my ex boyfriend any more money. Attorney Jerabek was easy to talk to, he was so supportive, explained everything. I could tell he has had a lot of experience and knew what he was talking about. I was able to email him and he emailed back right away. He has a great sense of humor. I was able to trust him. I was accused of reckless driving, racing on the highway, and speeding. I hired Justin after letting my other lawyer go because he said I had no chance in beating my case. Justin was so communicative to work with and very well spoken. He told me he felt very confident we could get this case dismissed and to give him a chance. After hiring him he never steered my into the wrong direction and he was very honest with me about everything. I sat back didn’t catch any other cases and let him do the job. I was facing license suspension as a 20 year old college student and was sure that I was screwed. At the end of the case he was able to get them to dismiss 2 out of 3 cases and I had to accept only 6 points on my license instead of the 24 I was facing because of my probationary license. If you’ve ever thought about hiring a criminal defense lawyer don’t seek anywhere else besides with Justin padway he is the best lawyer I’ve ever came across and I would go with him 10/10 times.

After my brother-In_law sat in MCJ for 18 months going through one incompetent PD after another I retained Mr. McClure. My friend and I were involved in a car accident in Jan 2021- a man ran through a stop sign as we were going 65 mph, causing us to tbone him. He was at fault. I was airlifted to a GB hospital. My son had passed away at college 5 weeks before, so I was not prepared to deal with any of it. Kevin and his staff were patient, guided me, encouraged me even when I was ready to give up, because I just couldn't handle anything at that time in my life. I ended up getting the most I could get , and I am so happy that I went to him in the first place. Although I'm sure they had much bigger cases than mine, they made me feel like a priority.

After a rear end accident I was hounded a couple times a week from the other insurance company to settle. I said my car is in the shop and was for over 2 months and I am in so much pain and going to a chiropractor and a physical therapist weekly and until all this is fixed I will not settle. Nothing I said deterred them from continuing to hound me to settle. I felt intimidated by them and they had me worried so I knew I needed an attorney. I called Habush Habush and Rottier because they had a great reputation. I got in that week for an appointment to see if they would take my case. I was lucky enough to be greeted by Ed Vopal an attorney at the firm. He was a very mild mannered person who was very caring calming in his questioning of me about the accident and that is exactly what I needed. I left our first meeting feeling safe and secure knowing I was going taken care of.
Ed worked very hard on my case and had a huge binder of paperwork involving the accident. He was wonderful on his preparing me for a deposition with the attorneys from the other insurance company and kept me calm in my answers. I could go on and on about Ed but all his office staff was just as wonder always so warm and friendly in their calls to me or when I was in the office. They are a great team. My accident resulted in injuries including multiple rib fractures and a totaled car. We tried for over a year to work with the at-fault driver’s insurance co thinking we didn’t want to involve attorneys. There was so much back and forth, and the insurance co wouldn’t even make themselves available before 8:30 or after 4:30 because it wasn’t convenient for them. They assigned different reps ranging from ‘Claims Generalist Associate’, ‘Claims General Int (does this mean intern?)’, etc. So frustrating! Laurence Fehring has my unequivocal and enthusiastic recommendation. I have a difficult time envisioning an individual who chooses Mr. Fehring and comes to second-guess the decision.
My knowledge of the Milwaukee legal community runs broad and deep. A car accident at the end of calendar year 2012 -- caused by the negligence of another driver -- left me with injuries, bouncing around from physician to physician and from one physical therapy session to another. Mr. Fehring's name found its way to my "short list" of lawyers for a potential representation.
After one preliminary consultation I knew he was the lawyer I wanted. In our initial meeting he manifested kindness, authenticity, amiability, strong listening skills, and more than a measure of wisdom. As time unfolded he proved to be especially -- in some circumstances nearly instantaneously -- responsive to all inquiries I posed via email. No less important, the team of assistants with which he works consistently struck me as every bit as diligent, skilled, and caring as Mr. Fehring, bespeaking (I am speculating here; but I'm comfortable doing so) the talent he and his partners have for training others.
My claim against the insurer of the negligent driver settled out prior to any complaint being filed -- as Mr. Fehring had indicated in our initial meeting is the case with more than 85% of the representations he undertakes. I was pleased it did -- even though, at times, my anger at the negligent driver engendered in me the desire to tell my story on the witness stand.
To repeat, to my mind Laurence Fehring is both an outstanding lawyer and a terrific person. Having the two rolled into one makes for a can't miss choice.
