I went to Mr. Taps for help straightening out poor estate planning by another lawyer. The estate was somewhat complex due to a late-life marriage and a husband who had recently had strokes and been diagnosed with dementia. For 3 1/2 years now, Mr. Taps has been consistently the best lawyer I have ever worked with. Some of the things I value: He is easily accessible and responsive. He has excellent ability to grasp complexity quickly and a phenomenal memory for newly introduced detail. He has allowed me to participate as much or as little as I want. He is willing to educate me (and my son) in addition to advising. I attribute the successful Medicaid appeals he has made on my husband's and my behalf to the depth and excellence of his understanding of the law. In addition, his recommendations are realistic but he still lets me know the range of my options so that I can participate in the decision-making process. He is at all times professional, calm, respectful, firm but not overbearing, and reliable. What is also very impressive is that he is persistent; I feel he not only cares about the outcome but is personally invested in it as if it were his own. In my experience, that is unusual and a real treasure. It is has also been very reassuring. My respect and admiration extend beyond him himself to his staff and associates whom I have met. He maintains outstanding office help and has been capable and willing to refer me to equally competent advisers in other areas as needed. While I look forward to working with Mr. Taps for the foreseeable future, I have no qualms about his giving my heirs excellent assistance when they need it. I have recommended him unreservedly to a number of people. Richard T. Taps is across the board the best!

Karen did a free consultation, then advised what I need to do, prepare, and get ready, to file. She was very patient, polite, knowledgeable, and made the process really simple. She went through the court process and let me know what to expect, which really made me more comfortable. I'd definitely recommend her for anything thinking about bankruptcy.

My wife and I were planning a trip out of town by ourselves and realized we had not updated our wills or trust in 20 years (from other state). During that time we had more kids and many changes. Before our trip, we wanted to get all new estate documents done to protect our children.
The trip was three weeks away and I searched for referrals from friends and couldn't find someone who seemed solid and could produce a new trust, wills and other documents that fast. I found Jane on this site and contacted her.
Within two weeks, we were in her office signing the documents that met all of our needs perfectly. She kept in constant touch throughout the process and made changes as we asked specific questions.

Daniel Gurtner was my attorney during a difficult divorce that lasted over a year. This would have lasted much longer if it was not for his guidance and knowledge of understanding our legal system and always being in constant contact with me. I hired him for a mutual dissolution and we soon found out it was going to be a full on nasty divorce. He had knowledge of what the judge and magistrate wanted and to keep things brief and factual. My ex went the complete opposite way and like Daniel told me, the judge saw through all the lies and granted me everything I asked for. This was a battle that I feared for years and had I not had Daniel to support and guide me through it, It could have been a a completely different outcome. Doesn't matter how important your case or the timeline. You can wait two months for them to never contact you, despite contacting them multiple times, and lose your court case, or you can go elsewhere. There's nice reviews from years ago. Apparently they fell off.

I had a very disappointing experience with Yazdani Law, LLC, Columbus, OH. Despite paying for their services in full, they mishandled my case by submitting incorrect documentation, leading to delays and unnecessary stress during the visa process. To make matters worse, they demanded extra money beyond the agreed-upon contract amount, claiming it was for unforeseen circumstances—issues that should have been anticipated with proper diligence.
Their lack of accountability and professionalism was evident throughout. They acted as if they were providing a free service, despite the significant fees I paid. Instead of acknowledging their errors, they attempted to mask their mistakes by blaming and suppressing.
I do not recommend this lawyer or firm to anyone seeking reliable immigration assistance.

I cannot say enough great things about Kia and the incredible work she has done for me and my children. My assigned attorney missed all the deadlines and put it all back on m.... minutes before the court hearing. Nothing got filed, I had to start paying child support because nothing was contested by my lawyer, and of everything you would hire a lawyer for, nothing was done. Doug was my third attorney call (first two did not care at all) - Doug let me speak and listened.
Doug took on my case, as a traffic attorney, for being pulled over for driving without a license (NOT suspend very different) or insurance in Grove City, OH.
Long story short I had to do was obtain my license with insurance and the case would be dismissed.
This is exactly what happened due to Doug’s many connections he has in Grove City.
My case was dismissed as I listened to Doug and I had to pay a $65 fine.
I HIGHLY recommend Doug and his team! He is the best price (I was shocked! Thank you), responsive, incredibly intelligent, calm and will work hard for you as a client.

Sometimes in life we make poor choices and end up having the consequences of those choices follow us in our lives. The consequences can be far greater than just going to jail or fines. I have had to face these consequences and it has followed me into my new life. Meade law Group has been fighting on my behalf to give me a true new start in life. We are still in the process, although saying that… they have already changed some of what was following me. With their help and strategies I am 3 misdemeanors less and on my way to having a completely clean record. Since the beginning they have been very forward with me and have kept in touch with me guiding me through the process. I did not have a great experience with Gregory Williams. Just finalized my probate case after 3 years after the the loss of my mom. He was not a good legal counsel and the only thing he did on my behalf was file the paperwork and set up zoom calls. I could have done all this on my own. My sister and I had our own attorney's because we could not agree on things but when it came to Gregory fighting for me he was never able to come through there was always an excuse. My sister took everything out of our mom's house and never did he discuss with me because I was also co-executor I could remove things as well it was excuse after excuse. In the end my sister's attorney was the winner. I felt like Gregory was only concerned about the $$$ and definitely did not look out for my best interest. With that being said I ended up with nothing BUT attorney fee's. I had to pay for his attorney fee's and his new law firm which he moved there toward end of 2023 and their expenses were more than Gregory and had never spoke with anyone there or agreed to their fees since initially started out with Gregory. What I received from my experience is that moving forward this will NEVER happen to my two daughters. Attorney's care nothing about your loss or your grief. At least this law firm. He never had my back for me! Every request I asked for never honored always dismissed. Gregory ended up being more expensive than my sister's attorney and he did more on this probate than Gregory!! Just a joke overall!

I made the mistake of choosing this attorney to safeguard my interests in my mother's estate and he did the opposite. He spent the first year fairly respectful, but when I pressed for action, he retreated and lied to me regarding estate law in Ohio. I am out of state so he knew how to work it. I spent 4 years and way too much money on this so called lawyer . He won't be your lawyer, but will regard opposing counsel's interest over yours. Mr. Slagle will be more interested in pleasing the estate attorney than you, the client paying the bill. He doesn't want to fight a case, but rather sit in his office and double or triple bill you while emailing and booking phone conferences. He bills for reviewing your case a great deal, sometimes 2 or 3 hours of reading at a time in many instances, then when talking with him, he is clueless on what you discussed previously. I had to run down deeds, he didn't even see to important details. Near the end, knowing I am stuck with him, he even became disrespectful if I didn't go along with his suggestions that left me holding the short end of the stick. His last token disaster- accepting a check for my part in the estate post dated 10 years from now. Learn from me and run.

I contacted attorney Elizabeth Schmitz concerning a guardianship. Ms. Schmitz’s office told me that a doctor would need to examine my family member for the purpose of diagnosis. Ms. Schmitz's office never told me how long the process of obtaining the guardianship would take, but assured me that they would be filing paperwork soon.
Over the next week, I corresponded with Ms. Scmitz's office through email. Over the next two and a half months after that, I waited and waited for updates on my case from Ms. Schmitz's office, occasionally sending an email or calling and leaving a voicemail on her phone. Only once did I get to speak to someone in her office, who told me that a doctor would call me in about four weeks to set up an appointment to conduct the examination. That phone call never came. I then left repeated voicemails and emails at Ms. Schmitz’s office. I never received a reply. Finally, out of exasperation at Ms. Schmitz’s office refusal to communicate with me in any way, I wrote an email to Ms. Schmitz, informing her that I was firing her as my attorney due to her refusal to communicate with me for over a month. In my email, I stated that she never provided me with any proof that any paperwork had ever been filed on my behalf by her office. This time, Ms. Schmitz replied the very next day that she “will close my file on this matter,” along with a pro forma apology. She did not challenge my accusation regarding the absence of any filed paperwork.
I had no idea there are lawyers who treat their clients this way. If an attorney does not wish to represent someone, all they have to do is say so. There is no cause to string someone along and waste their time for three months. I can only take her treatment of me as some sort of running joke at the office that she and her secretaries engaged in. Haha, real funny. You would be better off hiring a used car salesman as your attorney rather than Elizabeth Schmitz.

Cassone Law Offices was contacted in September of 2021 to take on my case involving a house purchase on a land contract. I invested over $30,000 into remodeling the property but, unfortunately, misplaced some receipts and could only find documentation for $21,000. Michael Perry, who was selling me the house, requested pictures of the remodeling. Shockingly, he then used those pictures to sell the house out from under me and my three children.
When I initially spoke with an attorney from Cassone Law Offices, they assured me it was an open and shut case. Fast forward three years, and I still haven't received any compensation. The man who scammed me out of my savings has since inherited a considerable amount of money, yet it's a struggle to get any response from Cassone Law Offices or see any progress in my case.
It seems that everything went downhill for me when they lost their paralegal, Lisa D. Despite the lack of results, I keep receiving bills from the office claiming I owe money. I only want to recover the money I invested in the house, which was in a blighted condition until I fixed it up. My family and I ended up living in a hotel for a year after the house was sold out from under us. I don't know what to do anymore, and I'm deeply frustrated and upset by the lack of action and communication from Cassone Law Offices.
