I got to know attorney Rapice when i was searching online for legal help for a tenant landlord case. When I called him, he was super attentive and spent so much time to hear my case, he then provided me with the most honest evaluation of my case. He was extremely professional and went out of his way to help me settle the case with the defendant. He had numerous phone calls with the defendant's lawyers and could successfully negotiate a settlement at a much higher value than I expected. The best thing about him is that he is not there to waste your time or drag your case through court, he is here to HELP YOU!

Richard reached out to me as soon as I posted my question and asked that I call him for assistance. He was able to provide me with as much as guidance as possible. I was rear ended while sitting at a stop sign and my car was totaled. I had no idea what to do being this was the first accident I had been in since I was a teen and I'm now 62. I was told to look for a lawyer, I had asked around but none were forthcoming, so I looked online and Christopher Dolin was the first lawyer I found. I read his reviews and something just felt right about him. I'm glad I followed my instincts. Having been involved in a motor vehicle accident, I knew that I needed an attorney. Unaware of the response it would yield, I went online, filled out an inquiry, and submitted it. It was a kind of pseudo- questionnaire requiring me to provide the details of my accident and a description of the injuries I’d sustained. My hope was to be contacted by a reputable counselor, one specializing in personal injury, the law of torts.
Expecting nothing in the way of quick results, I was surprised when I was suddenly inundated with calls from a host of attorneys, most of whom sounded like they were more interested in dollars and cents than they were about my welfare. Now, some may consider my attitude a bit persnickety, but I was completely turned off by the manner in which I was dealt with. After-all, I wanted someone to represent me who was just as interested in my welfare as they were about filling their coffers. At any rate, what I decided to do was plod a serendipitous course and look in the phone book to find a lawyer, one in close proximity to my home. Today, I’m grateful that I did, for in pursuing this course I crossed paths wit Chris Donlin, Esq, a lawyer who answers my calls, responds to my texts, and, perhaps most importantly, takes time to answer my questions.
I was impressed with Chris from the first, for as we talked via phone he spoke to me as if I really mattered; like he was concerned about the effects of my traumatic experience; an experience that left me hurting, both physically and mentally, and not a little bit confused. Then, too, once we’d met face-to-face, Chris exuded sincerity, emitted professionalism, manifested an uncanny grasp of personal injury law. It was these factors, among others, that indicated to me that in choosing Chris for my attorney I’d have a counselor who’d heard the clarion call for justice; the call for not only fairness and equity, but the summons for compassion, the demand for concern, the dictate for an in-depth knowledge of personal injurty law. Thus it is that I have no qualms about saying Chris Donlin is an attorney par excellence, one who has arisen at a time when mediocrity emerges with the frequency of the sun’s daily rising; a time when many, no longer walking in bright halls of integrity, now trudge through dark dungeons of greed. But having eschewed a mediocrity-laden, quick-buck mentality, Christ Dolin is a cut above the rest. In fact, he’s time and time again shown me that he intends to live out the promise he’s made to all of his clients: “. . . to relentlessly fight to help every client get back on his or her feet as quickly as possible and get the compensation they deserve”. While representing me, Chris has done not one iota less than that which he’s promised, and I don’t believe he ever will. I am quite impressed with Chris Donlin, as a legal scholar, a gentleman, and as a human being.

My husband and I had had individual estate planning documents (Wills, Powers of Attorney, Advanced Medical Directives) drawn up during a period when we lived out-of-state. When returning to CT, it was high on our priority list to identify an attorney with the right expertise to assess the adequacy of what was in place and develop whatever changes/additions necessary to conform with CT statues and be as prepared as possible for Probate.
For us, not only were we seeking an individual with extensive experience, but we also felt the need for a personal connection; an attorney who could inform, explain and make recommendations in "laymen's terms" and give us the confidence that everything that we needed for our particular circumstances would be prepared promptly and for a reasonable fee. Staff personality was also important.
Not to be cliche, but Gerald Shea and his team "checked all the boxes." Two weeks from the time of our initial (free) consultation, we had fully executed, complete documents in our hands. During this process, we learned that our prior Wills were deficient, lacking the details that would have distributed our estate to the appropriate heirs according to our wishes as a blended family.
What peace of mind this has brought! We also know that Gerry is there for us for any future questions we may have and/or if there are legal changes that require updating.

In order to buy or sell property in Connecticut, you must be represented by an attorney. My brother recently passed away, and because we live in Florida we didn't know where to turn for assistance. Lisa Wnuck and her staff assisted me with settling my father‘s estate. When an unforeseen issue arose, she and her staff resolved it to our full satisfaction. We were impressed with the professionalism with which they handled the situation.
My accountant was also impressed with the income tax planning she provided when it came time at the end for his office to prepare the Estate’s income tax return. Because expenses were paid when they were and distributions made when they were, income taxes were minimized.

Due to the untimely death of one relative, I was thrust into a dual position of Estate Administrator and Conservator of an elderly second relative. Since this situation was all new to me I had to rely extensively on legal guidance. Attorney Alyson Marcuccio was exemplary in this regard. The situation with my relatives was somewhat complicated due to property title issues, asset identification, and interaction with the State over prior services provided by them to my deceased relative. Atty Marcuccio's knowledge of these issues was extensive and made what appeared to be a daunting task more than manageable. Furthermore, she was always available to be contacted either by phone or email and promptly and courteously returned messages. All required paperwork was promptly prepared and filed. Attorney Minicozzi assisted me after my divorce when my ex-husband refused to comply with the divorce decree.

My case seemed simple at first. I believed I owned my condo and that it was in a Grantors Trust with my brother as Trustee. I wanted to do a reverse mortgage. Turned out we had to dissolve the Trust and that was was very complicated indeed. Amy was awesome. She was creative, persistent, pro-active and diligent throughout the course of the very long year it took for this extremely difficult transaction to take place. I was referred to Attorney Weatherby by a friend. I have no family but I wanted to leave a separate parcel of land with a garage to a neighbor and my home across the street to a friend.
I was procrastinating and dreading the process. Attorney Weatherby was able to provide a draft of the plan as we spoke and shortly after receiving a few missing pieces of information.

My husband and I engaged Hank Weatherby's services last year to help us plan for our children and grandchildren. As this is my second marriage and the third for my husband, with children from each marriage, we had thought this would be a very stressful process.

When starting to prepare for putting a will together, there are so many things to consider. Some things that I never even realized I had to give thought to. Before starting the process, Neal patiently met with me and my husband to discuss specifics of what it means to have a will and all the pieces that go with it, and why it's important. We left his office with the knowledge and understanding of why it's really smart to take those steps, and we were better able to have an honest discussion about all the items required to make the documents effective. Discussing end-of-life issues is never fun or glamorous, but leaving your loved ones without properly preparing for your passing is a burden that you don't want to leave with the people most important to you at a time that will be so difficult.
