I want to recognize the excellent experience we had with Megan Moghtaderi and her team. We had a situation where we needed a loan to the family trust in order to avoid triggering higher property taxes under Proposition 19, and we needed assistance with finalizing the distribution of the trust assets. We had been working with a previous attorney who was unable to complete the job, and time was of the essence.
Megan and her team obtained and reviewed the files from the previous attorney, worked with the loan company on a rush basis to calculate the distribution schedule and loan amount, facilitated the property transfer, filed the documentation with the assessor, and provided the documentation needed for taxes and beneficiary distribution.
Megan was clearly experienced and professional in handling this type of work, and was very patient and responsive to numerous emails and phone calls throughout the process. She was instrumental in finalizing the trust situation for us.
I will not hesitate to work with Megan in the future and highly recommend her for any trust needs.

Alex reviewed an employment contract for software development work that I was considering (I am a software developer). My company is based in another state, but the company I would work with was based in California.
Alex responded very quickly, and reviewed the contract promptly. He offered several insights into the contract that helped confirmed my suspicions about working with the company, and suggested a few courses of action I could take to protect myself should I still want to proceed with the contract.
In the end, I did not sign the agreement, and I thank Alex for his expert help making me feel comfortable with my decision.

I've known Jenna and her family for a number of years. I have known her to be interesting, funny and informed on many topics. I needed to have my will, Health directive and trust re-worked to better reflect my current needs. She took my old documents and agreed with me to the re-write because several laws have also changed over the years. She called and e-mailed me with questions, discussed possibilities and then produced the draft in a timely manner. I looked everything over and then we met for her to answer any remaining questions that I had.
Since I do not speak "legal-eese", I had many questions. She explained everything fully and to my complete satisfaction, without making me feel uninformed. We were then able to complete the documentation and I expect the final documents soon.
I have requested her card(s), to recommend her to several of my friends who also wish to update their documents. She is a delightful person and a consummate professional with a style that puts you right at ease. Highly recommended.

I picked Monica randomly from your site because I needed a probate lawyer in a hurry and she had an opening the same day. My father had recently passed away without a will and had a reverse mortgage and I was in the process of adopting a baby who was being born that week, so I really needed someone to help me get my fathers affairs in order. Monica was so pleasant and reassured me that she could take care of everything and even offered to mail me documents to sign if I was too busy with baby to come in. It was my first experience with an attorney. I expected like most to get even or get what I deserved in my divorce. Bruce kept me focused on the FACTS and away from accusations. He didn't play the GAME. Which in return paid off for me and my son. My parents had left me with a Trust Fund. Not knowledgable about the ins and outs of trusts I called Elizabeth Arnett Vozzella. She made me very comfortable. Answered my questions in detail. She even gave me a book for my papers and space for the business cards you will acquire in the future.
Name of notary, number of who to contact when I pass away. Everything that will help my best friend when I pass away and she will need to know the contacts. All she has to do is call Elizabeth!
I have complete trust in her. Meet her and you will know why. Very calming and informative wills and trust attorney. If she did not have an answer she would get back to me quickly and efficiently. She is truly the best.

Although my case should have been simple, the other parties attorney deployed several unorthodox methods.These included submitting complex case law that did not apply, property liens, a subpoena, continuances, and requesting a new judge.
Shari stood steadfast during these events, researched case law, advised me and fired back with legitimate issues during these frustrating times.
After eight months, I get a call from the ex. She said “You have a very good attorney”. I said “I know”. At that point, she agreed to withdrawal all claims and pay my fees.

In July of 2008, I was stopped and arrested for suspician of DUI in Los Angeles County. I had never been in trouble or arrested before so this was the first time I needed an attorney for anything. I was honestly terrified about what to do, but I knew I'd definitely need an attorney. In restrospect, I should have interviewed several attorneys before selecting one, because it's the smart thing to do, but I was scared and wanted to take action quickly. I connected a well-known DUI law firm on the internet, signed a retainer after an initial consultation, and then the firm assigned Shannon Wiezorek to my case. Probably not the best way to go about it, but that being said, I think I was lucky to have had Shannon Wiezorek working on my case. She was able to negotiate a really good plea deal for me in the legal phase of my case. Instead of DUI, I was able to plea to Exhibition of Speed and probation. I found out from others, who also went through the DUI process, that I was lucky to get that deal. Unfortunatey, I was not as lucky at my DMV hearing. We chose a strategy that was rejected by the hearing officer, but I understand that a vast majority of people do not succeed at the DMV. Overall, I think Shannon is knowlegable about DUI/DWI law and tried to do the best for me. She was also responsive to my inqueries during my case as well as afterward when I had follow-up questions. I am not sure if Shannon is still with the firm that I contacted, because the last time I checked their website, she was not listed as a member of their team of attorneys. She was in good standing with the California Bar Association at the time of my case, and per their website, I believe she still is. Based on my experience with her, I would recommed her services for a DUI/DWI case.

I found Kyle through multiple moms’ recommendations in local Facebook mom group and I’m so glad I chose him as counsel for my custody/visitation case. I just wished I had found him before I started all this and would’ve saved a lot of time/money/suffering. But alas here we are.
Kyle is very straight forward and wastes no time. So don’t be put off by his seemingly rushed demeanor when you first get in contact with him. He truly cares about people (not just his clients) and he sees through people’s b.s.
He explained the process along the way and gave clear instructions on what to do leading up to the hearing. Kyle was upfront about possible outcomes. In my case, after just one court hearing with Kyle by my side, I was able to get everything I’d asked for. Highly recommend.

My brother committed suicide and left an estate with no beneficiary. Per the life insurance correspondence, we had no other choice but to go through probate. I reached out to this group in hopes that my nieces would get equal and fair treatment. 6 months into process I was notified that the benefits were paid out to one child because of falsified documents. Tom reached out to me only to tell me that the case was going to be dismissed and there was nothing else he would do. Tom informed me his counsel does not get into litigations and lengthy court dramas, so if your case isn’t “wam,bam, thank you ma’am”, his legal team is lacks tenacity to handle your case. Do your research, find a lawyer willing to fight for what is right, not a lawyer trying to make an easy dollar off your loved one’s death. 10 thumbs down, the law is the law and if you’re too scared to fight for whats right, why are you a lawyer?

I was referred to Catherine Grant Wieder by LA County Bar Association. I made an appointment with her and received an email confirming it. My father wanted to put his house in my name and make a living trust. Her secretary said that Catherine didn't have any appointment with me. I showed her the email on my cellphone. We had to wait for another 20 minutes. After Catherine looked at my father's assets she implied that I was taking advantage of my father. Then she said she wouldn't do the work but a couple in Claremont, CA would do the work and handled me their brochure. I would never recommend Catherine Grant Wieder. Luckily I found a nice lawyer who did my father's legal work with courtesy and respect.

This lawyer 'prepared' trust papers for a friend. They were not even notarized or witnessed and other 'legal' documents she signed had dates that were hand written over other dates. Am pretty sure they don't teach this as proper protocol in law school. Also, never had the courtesy to return numerous phone calls made to her. For starters, she was always weeks late with drafts of our divorce settlement agreement. One of her drafts included the names of someone else’s children! My now ex-husband should have been paid because he did the research and corrections to her extremely shoddy work. I found our later that she did not represent my interests and I lost thousands and thousands of dollars due to her inability to realize that one of my two lucrative jobs has varying levels of income. Do not hire her!

Would I recommend this lawyer?? Never. I would never recommend this lawyer, ever. Unless you are a masochist prepared to lose your case while expending ridiculous amounts of money in padded fees, to an over rated attorney. I spent THOUSANDS of dollars to have this attorney turn my case upside down. Literally. Unless you work well with attorney' who are cold as ice & appear to have no compassion for her clients. Nothing like the Carolyn, attorney I interviewed. It was evident she operated from the school of; Clients will pay what you project your image & worth to be. Even false image & worth. I've read former client' reviews not only on this attorney , but Jarvis Krieger & Sullivan on other social media sites, (Yelp, Superpages.com/lbp, AVVO & various legal forums). It's important for potential clients to have this open forum to review when researching as they have the right to know. I felt validated after reading this attorney's & firms' negative reviews especially my exact suspicions and issues. I recall questioning this firm's negative reviews during my consultation meeting only to receive a well prepared and thought out response blaming the client who posted their review and not to pay much attention.
Throughout retaining this attorney, there were EXCESSIVE fees billing even billing fees that were questioned if work had even been performed. This attorney's demeanor & perception was that of someone who is burned out longing to retire soon. This attorney was shockingly unprofessional in how she conducted business and treated me, forgetting I was the client even AFTER signing her retainer & forking out way, way too much money. This attorney used the same consistent tactic the firm she works for; Jarvis Krieger & Sullivan's; asking you for double digit thousands dollars to pay "in addition" to the thousands already paid, towards your retainer fees, otherwise, they will threaten and often follow through on withdrawing from your case, leaving you abandoned without any remorse. There are other client written negative reviews on Jarvis Krieger & Sullivan for this same complaint along with the same threats they all received. One of Ms. Martin's clients negative reviews wrote; "Carolyn' peers had warned her Carolyn was steering her on a suicide mission. " This is the exact experience I encountered with this attorney. Majority of my calls as sporadic as they were completely ignored. I was kept in suspense on case matters especially conversations she billed me for with opposing counsel', to the point I was never briefed. On smaller matters, she would debrief you at the very last moment. This attorney's feedback, responses & advice was vague to say the least. I was never updated at ALL activities and matters & shamed me for asking. I often wondered; which side of my case is this women on?! Mine or opposing?! Why am I paying this women thousands of dollars within a brief period of time, when neglect, & irreversible damages are being made to my case by my own attorney?! The partners of Jarvis, Krieger & Sullivan seem unconnected & could care less what the client' satisfaction level was towards their attorneys or staff members. If disputes are brought up, you were mocked against by internal staff members & other attorneys. For me, the wool was pulled over my eyes once they figured out how green I was to the whole legal process. I was billed excessively for lack of actions, work and results, which have major impacted my future and they honestly will defend themselves and try to make you feel like you're the problem. We pay too much money and trust these attorneys to represent and fight for our best interests and what is right. This attorney's only concerns appeared to be that of obtaining money and aligning herself politically with peers. Buyer beware.
