Kevin and his Associates provided exceptional legal support as they aged well into their 90s. They kept my sisters and me (out of staters) continually informed about matters involving Wills, Trusts, Power of Attorney, and Medical Directives. Most recently, they provided incredible guidance before, during, and after the sale of their home during the pandemic. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend David to anyone. He is a very thorough, ethical, knowledgeable, well spoken attorney. At court there was no comparison to the other attorney! David outshone him in every area! He always treated me with dignity, kindness and compassion, and always made time to explain things to me in a way that I could understand. Recently I had occasion to use the firm for a real estate deal and David again- in a supervisory position for one of the associates- ( who in her own right was excellent)- was an a great resource and available for questions all the way through the transaction. My wife and me were first-time home buyers looking for a real estate lawyer. We reached out to several lawyers in the Stony Brook area. Daniel was by far the most engaged, responsive, and personable, so we decided to hire him. He really helped us along the process and was always available by phone. The closing was a fast and painless affair. In addition, Daniel is an in-network provider for the MetLaw/Hyatt Legal plan. I had heard horror stories that lawyers use those plans to rope you in and then get you to pay for all kinds of additional services that your plan doesn't cover, but that wasn't an issue at all with Daniel.

Kitson & Schuyler helped me to complete an unexpectedly difficult real estate purchase recently. Problems arose on the seller’s end and Roseann and Peter went above and beyond to make sure that the sale was finalized as quickly as possible. They were flexible when it was required but also very tough when it seemed like I was going to have to pay extra money due to the seller’s issues. I didn’t have to pay any extra costs and I got the house of my dreams. Roseann and Peter gave my purchase their personal attention and responded to my questions and concerns quickly and expertly. I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them anyone I know.

I first met Terence in 2016 following the death of my father. I was distraught and required assistance with my father’s estate. Terence was knowledgeable, kind and took control of the challenges involved in the estate process and obstacles. Terence and his team treated me with kindness, patience, respect, and a careful and accurate legal process. Terence got the job done and did not drag his feet. He consistently greeted me with a smile as did the rest of his team. The team returned phone calls and never did I feel rushed or a bother. I've used the services of Terence Ricaforte over the past several years. He was instrumental in advising us on how to receive Medicaid Benefits for my mother and all the associated Estate and trust preparations. Terence provided excellent service and advise and this resulted in us receiving the needed benefits for my mother in a relatively short period of time. Terence was instrumental in diffusing a potential situation with the Administrative Judge and HRA attorneys . Terence provided consultation and support in spite of issues I had with his previous employer. Upon my mother's passing, Terence also advised on real estate and tax issues associated with the selling of my mother's home and saved us significant monies and time. OK, so I just bought a house in Homestead and during the closing the lawyers were talking about my "new" taxes. Yeah, that's cool, they aren't too crazy, but anyway, they were saying that this guy was hired by the city and he's crushin' all of these slime balls who haven't paid their taxes in like over 20 years!! They were joking that if I didn't pay some taxes that were owed that this "Sherriff Cowboy" would show up and make sure Yonkers got paid. So one of the lawyers went on the computer and did a search and he said that this guy has gotten MILLIONS $$$$$ of dollas from a whole bunch of people who haven't like EVER paid their taxes - in like over 20 years straight. So I say GO GET EM' Mr. C. I want our COPS to get paid and FIREMEN to come to my house if I need help and TEACHERS to keep teaching my kids . . . and so I don't have to pay ANY MORE MONEY cause of these slumlords not paying their taxes!!!

My mother, now deceased, and I both had our wills drawn up by Mr. Loftus. There were additional questions and documents that needed to be worked on after my mother had passed. Mr. Loftus and his office staff were very helpful and were always available to me during that emotional and trying time. Mr Bannister was assigned to defend me in a custody case started by my ex-wife. The last time I dealt with a public defender I never spoke to or met the person until minutes before the trial. Mr Bannister called and texted me the day he was assigned. We had several conversations and met with me early on the morning of the hearing. Very professional and very caring about my case. Things went fantastic in court that morning and we were victorious. I highly recommend Mr Bannister and would definitely use his services again ( though I truly hope I never need to )

We hired Mr Falcone to help with an estate involving a very hostile family situation. He was so helpful and reassuring to us. He played a major role in helping our family more than he would know. Michael Leavy had come highly recommended from a Real Estate Professional that I had worked with over the past several years. (Personally, I think that word of mouth is the best form of a compliment.) I called Mr. Leavy when we were refinancing our home and received time sensitive paperwork that needed to be addressed. The paperwork arrived during the Christmas holidays and I was concerned that we would not be able to have it reviewed before the deadline. Mr. Leavy understood our need for services within a very short time frame and made it a priority to get this matter addressed. He was extremely professional and did not make my husband or I feel rushed. He did not just review and sign papers; but rather explained what we were signing and the reasons behind certain things were notorized. Jon handled my divorce and got me a wonderful result. Judge really respected him and my husband's lawyer knew he couldn't get away with nonsensical motions. I kept custody of my child and received a large finacial award because Jon knew his stuff. His bill was fair and he earned every penny. He got me through a trying time with skill and compassion.

Ellen assisted my mother and I with estate planning, probate and 2 real estate deals. She helped clean up what another attorney left hanging so to speak, with a probate issue that involved a property and was able to handle everything as well as advise us on best practices given our situation, she was "down to earth" and easy to talk to. I was impressed with her service and responsiveness so we chose to use her services for 3 real estate transactions for us. Micthell was referred to my aunt and I through another attorney. We had a very difficult case and Mitchell guided us through the process and we came out very successful. I am the spokesperson for a group of “alleged heirs” who were seeking to be declared “legitimate heirs” and receive equal dispersement of our relative’s estate, who had passed away, leaving no will. This process was “glacial” and took many years to finalize, but Mr Wilensky stayed with it, and met our objectives. Mr Wilensky did this with the highest degree of professionalism and experience. The most important quality from our viewpoint, after we retained Mr Wilensky, was that he communicated all the facets of this case to us all , as it progressed, with excellent explanations, in a timely and very professional manner, that was especially important, as none of us are New York State residents, where this case took place. In summary, we felt very fortunate to have Mr Wilensky take our case, and provide his service, that met and even exceeded our expectations. We are all extremely satisfied, and recommend his firm with absolutely no reservation.

I had been appointed as Executor of my father's estate. At first, I made the mistake of retaining a local attorney. After I realized that he wasn't experienced enough, I retained Mitch Wilensky. Although it may appear that this top rating seems a bit high on the mark, I can state with certainty that Jerry Merola is the real deal when it comes to bankruptcy cases.
