I contracted with Aaron Barrick to serve as my counsel to fight against a fabricated mechanics lien and also to draft a contract with a new builder. Mr. Barrick was able to get opposing counsel to release the lien. He also helped me navigate through rough waters with a steady hand and a kind heart after my first contractor left my house project in disarray. Aaron Barrick is a savvy, experienced, effective, efficient, honest attorney. Kathryn was a terrible lawyer.
I originally talked to Jenn on the phone and was impressed. I ended up with Kathryn, she did nothing but collect a paycheck. Took my case to pre trial for absolutely no reason, as I would’ve been happy pleading out early in the case. She was rude, condescending when spoken with, never responded to messages, I waited a month after requesting an updated bill to get a bill from two months ago. I wish I would’ve gone on AVVO and read the reviews of her.
Spot on!
Run as fast as you can from her representation. What a waste of time and money.

When I first met Ryan, I was a bit taken back. He is not what I expected when I heard the term, "Public Defender." Ryan looks more like an East Coast Club Bouncer or maybe a moto-cross racer? But do not be confused. This guy is the real deal. His father is also an attorney with over 30 years of legal experience. From the way that Ryan performs in court, there is no doubt that apples have seeds. I would consider Ryan one of the top attorneys in the Stevens Point area. He is young, aggressive, passionate and extremely smart. Did I say that his father is also an attorney with over 30 years of legal experience and lives close to Ryan? Ryan is a second generation attorney with nearly a lifetime of legal experience. And he is under 30!!! Ryan is only available by appointment from the Public Defenders Office in Portage County. I am a real and actual client. In fact, I was his very first client. You know what it is!!

Jesse was not my lawyer. He represented the other party in my custody case. Throughout the duration of the litigation he and his client made false claims to try and reduce the amount of custody I had per week and at point told me -“he knows what kind of guy I am”
The investigator appointed by the state found zero supporting evidence of Jessie and his clients malevolent claims and as a result I have been rightfully awarded additional custody and proper concessions.

I have a hard time dealing with attorneys. I feel like I am constantly on a stop watch. It’s like they want to get my meeting with them done with so they can get the next person in and out as well.
However my experience with Steve have been anything but stressful. He is calm, kind, and caring. He speaks to me at my level and doesn’t try to speak above my level of understanding in some weird condescending way, unlike other attorneys have spoken towards me.
I know I don’t have enough space to do this review because I don’t think I could get his personalized approach articulated the right way when he has taken care of my car accident needs.
With Steve, I feel like I have lawyer and not a liar. If you want a kind, honest and humble person that will represent you and will stand up for your needs, then please reach out to Steve. You won’t regret it.

Kim went above and beyond for me. I was fired unjustly, and we received a settlement. Kim was compassionate and wanted to help me due to her ethical and empathetic nature. Kim took my case, knowing that she may not be commpensated at all. She let me know she wanted to at least stand up to them. If we hadn't reached a settlement outside of court, then she wasn't going to charge me anything. I really am grateful for Kim being there for me.
