Laurie flawlessly handled my closing yesterday. She was successful at expressing to the title company the fact that over $2,000 in ECB charges were erroneously charged against my name (which appeared as liens against the property). The liens stemmed from my employment, as an Executive, with a property management firm. As a result, the title company disregarded those “liens”. She flawlessly, expeditiously and successfully closed on the sale of my home.

I received absolute white glove service from start to end.
1) Laurie walked me through all contracts with meticulous details
2) She is super responsive and available whenever I needed her (including weekends)
3) She firmly guided me away from making (in hindsight) what would have been a poor decision :)
4) She has diligent and capable people on her staff
There were couple of potential pain points in my deal, however, Laurie and her team (namely Christine Watters) adamantly ensured they did not become ultimate show stoppers.

Of all the lawyers I’ve dealt with in my life Neil Flynn at Horn Wright, LLP is the only one who took the time to listen to everything I had to say and answer all my questions before even discussing how he would be paid. Once we laid the foundation for our attorney-client relationship, he gave me several options including a straight contingency fee, a retainer/hourly rate fee structure or a hybrid of the two. After meeting with severl bankruptcy-13 attorneys in 2013 I met Mr. Gelberg and decided it was a done deal. Mr. Gelberg had decades of experience, understood where I was coming from and where I wanted to be. I never thought in a million years I would have to declare bankruptcy but divorce, having a special needs son, losing my job left me no choice. I had to do everything in my power to save my home for my son's sake. Mr. Gelberg worked out a viable 5 year plan that was a stretch but I knew I could somehow achieve. My first meeting at the courthouse in Islip I was terrified but Mr. Gelberg had answers for the trustee to all questions that were asked . When questions were asked by the trustee directly to me, I would look at Mr. Gelberg and the tenseness would leave me. The balance of meetings that I had to appear with Mr. Gelberg in court, Mr. Gelberg was outstanding. You see other people with their lawyers and none could hold a candle to Mr. Gelberg. He also went to court without me several times which was a relief to me. Once the court accepted Mr. Gelberg's 5 year plan for me I have followed it to the letter. I am pleased to say that I am about to come out of bankruptcy and I will forever be grateful to Mr. Gelberg.

Mr. Klein was recommended to me by a very good friend of mine. Unfortunately, it was after I had retained a lawyer for the purchase of my home. The previous lawyer (J. Bradford Kenealy) had not taken the time to thoroughly and competently review my contract. After I took the time to review the contract, I decided that I needed someone else to represent me. That is when, after sitting with Mr. Klein for over an hour, I retained Mr. Klein. I felt completely confident that if I were to be absent at closing that he could sign for me and I would be able to sleep at night knowing that all bases were covered.
My title for this review was based on his ability to rectify all that was wrong with my contract after it being fully executed by both parties. Mr. Klein spent days emailing and calling the sellers' attorney's office. all on the premise of having a forum at which to renegotiate the contract since there was an unfavorable appraisal. Where some may have given up and sent back the amended contract, he was very persistent in seeing it through despite the sellers' attorney's lack of communication skills. It was then that Mr. Klein was able to eradicate all my fears about moving forward. Which would have been extremely frustrating to be left in limbo just before you are about to leave the country for 2 weeks.
Even though I could go on with details of the transaction and paint a more favorable light for Mr. Klein, the best detail to leave behind is that I will never look for another counsel in matters which are legal.

I have known Heather for close to 20-years. Without hesitation Heather is one of the most honest people I have ever known. When it comes to the practice of law Heather is unequivocally at the top of my list of attorney’s to consult and hire.
I have hired Heather twice. The first time was in 2005 when I needed an experienced matrimonial attorney. The second time was in in 2015 when I needed a real estate lawyer that knew every nook and cranny of the home selling process. Both times I retained Heather at the moment that I knew I would need an expert to guide me through two of the more difficult aspects of life that one sometimes has to contend with legally. As it related to my real estate transaction, Heather was there for me from before the house was listed with a Real Estate Broker to the afternoon when I signed the last document of the sale. Throughout the process Heather made sure that I understood how the home selling process would take place (it was my first time selling a home) and what the legal aspects would entail.
I have also consulted Heather over the years on several legal questions including what constituted an emergency when I needed to have a Power-of-Attorney drawn up extremely quickly. Heather drove to where I was with the papers in hand to be sure that the legal issues I was facing could be dealt with as smoothly as possible and within the legal boundaries needed.

My boyfriend and I both used Rich years ago for criminal charges when he was working at a previous firm. We were truly blessed that we had Rich to work our cases. He fought aggressively for both of us, was always available to speak, broke everything down for us, remained honest with us whether it was good or bad and kept his word. I hired Rich Toscani to handle my fiancé’s case, who happened to have charged in two separate counties. Mr. Toscani is very professional and knowledgeable, I highly reccomend him to all of my close ones in need of an attorney.
