Howard Schatz took my slip and fall case when another attorney turned it down. He worked diligently and stayed in constant contact letting me know the status of my case as well as being realistic with what the outcome would be. 0 stars as they lie about shareholders and residents in Le Havre on the Water aka LHOC and charge for made up fines and legal fees. Do NOT trust them!!! We called them about a shareholder who was harassing us; they said it was being taken care of and they turned it around on us because said shareholder was a friend of the board. They knew our complaint came first.

My mentally impaired relative was sent an eviction letter from this firm.
She requested I advocate on her behalf. I am her power of attorney and had been considering being this person’s legal guardian.
I spoke three times to the rude and insensitive paralegal. Not clear on her name, but starts with an S.
What a condescending and unprofessional excuse for a paralegal.
The most recent call she was abrupt, rude, and she hung up the phone on me.
She is an embarrassment to anyone working in the legal profession, or any profession involving communicating with live humans.
Perhaps she should be an embalmer. That’s the type of people she has the communication skill set for.
Flabbergasted by the inability of this woman to engage in a civil discussion of even half a minute.
Based just on this, this does not seem like a reputable law firm to do any type of business with.

You’ll have to go there directly to talk to ANYBODY there. ‘Cuz emails can go weeks without so much as a peep. I have been using this lawyer for a few legal issues. One for a lawsuit against me. The first issue was resolved pretty efficiently. Another case I brought to the same lawyer, but was punted to another. Progress has been slow on the second case since the pandemic. As the courts began to open back up, I had hoped things would go much smoother, as less the courts were getting less than normal volume of cases. It feels like they're dragging their feet as others in my position have already had progress. Everything seemed to be going smoothly but I recently went a few months without contact from them on that second case. The original attorney told me he would see if he could get that second atty to get back to me. Got nothing for a month. Sent an email. A month went by. Asked again this month, finally got an answer after a few more times. Getting an answer has been a crapshoot in the several months that I've been waiting for any progress.
Tried recently to contact other extensions to make an appointment, like reception, but that line was a constant busy signal and the others were seemingly unattended.
Sadly, I will be expecting more delays in answers to my emails.

This attorney did not advocate for me with respect to her credentials regarding Jewish divorce or domestic violence, and actually allowed lawyers to violate my rights and my caretaking rights as a mother. She has since added advocacy for Muslim divorce to her profile and while I cannot speak to the details of being Muslim, I believe the lawyers committed substantive and procedural unconscionability. As a result my healthcare, consumer , employment, education, and civil rights have been violated over and over. She touts helping with sexual harassment, cyber-harassment and intellectual property, and she did not. If anything, I have had issues as a result of the legal language, and I have a trail of police reports going back to 2018. I have encountered issues in interacting with Muslim clients and business' as a result of her actions in conjunction with my ex-husband's lawyers from Hoffman and Behar. I think she is a disappointment to what it means to be a Jewish female professional, and I think both she and her firm should be held accountable. I live in one of the most secularly diverse neighborhoods of Brooklyn, and I find her profile to be completely disrespectful.
