I am a psychotherapist, and was assigned Calkins by my insurance company to help with a case where a client's parent was harassingly subpoenaing me for irrelevant cases, for years. Calkins was friendly and professional on the phone, came to court with me, eased my and my client's day with her warm friendliness, and then walked into the courtroom and fixed the situation with the judge in about two minutes. She even charmed the plaintiff. My experience could not have been more pleasant or efficient. I recommend her wholeheartedly.

Kenneth Chung is an outstanding attorney and I would highly recommend him. The first time I spoke to Kenneth Chung was over the phone. I was greeted with the utmost courtesy, care, and attention. He was very patient as he listened to me, asking clarifying questions to really understand my problem. He showed interest in my case and spent almost an hour with me on the phone. I've spoken to a couple attorneys before him and they wouldn't give me the time of day. Kenneth is the opposite! I can tell right away he was not about money. He genuinely wanted to help me and guided me through how the case and process would go if we pursued litigation. He was extremely knowledgeable about the law and made me feel so comfortable within the first 15 minutes of talking to him. Because of this, I hired Kenneth to help me with my case.
I came into his office and sat with him for over an hour as we discussed my case in more detail. Kenneth actively took notes. Throughout the case, Kenneth was highly responsive, answering emails almost immediately. His attitude did not change from before and after I signed on with his services, which is a fear of many consumers (people being nice to sell their business and change after you commit). Kenneth continued to display professionalism, care, and attention throughout the case. He treated my case with urgency, much quicker response times than I expected. His email communication are so well written, descriptive at every step, and contained all the needed information (including attachments) for me to review. At a pivotal time in the case, Kenneth was very transparent with the challenges I would face if we kept going. He is the most HONEST attorney I've even seen. Often times, you hear stories about crooked or money hungry lawyers. I can assure you Kenneth is NOT one of them. He was there to help me and I had 100% trust in him. He never pushed or rushed me to make a decision and have always provided me pros and cons of each option I may take, giving me full understanding of the cost, benefits, and consequences of each path.
When the case was over, any unused portion of the retainer fee was refunded to me immediately. I can't say enough about genuine and friendly Kenneth is. Such a professional guy and a great person to work with. Again, Kenneth is not about money but helping people. He didn't charge me some of the time he spent helping me which was huge! I recommend Kenneth Chung to anyone seeking help. You can trust him. He is a good guy and will take care of you. You won't be disappointed. I'll use him again when I need legal advice and would recommend him to all my friends and family.

Mr. Chung is one of the finest attorneys you will find. I was in a position to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars. I had talked to three other attorneys before talking with Mr. Chung. One of the other attorneys told me I could win my case, however, I was in a defensive position. Mr. Chung and I had a very well paced conversation about my case. At one point during our talk he felt I needed a more elaborate explanation of a pertinent point he was explaining to me. He politely paused our progress in the talk, and explained in more detail his concern. As it turns I could pursue my case from a positive position rather than defensive. What a huge thing for me! He knows what the opposition will be using against you and can consult you as to the correct approach in your concern. I totally recommend this man to all entities, small or single like me, you will have comfort knowing he is there for you. If you read this, give him a call. You will be happy you did!

Our construction company ran into difficulty obtaining payment for work performed on a real estate improvement project. We had invested in labor and materials, performed the work as specified and could not afford to wait any longer to be paid, so we contacted a construction lawyer. Mike handled two cases for me over the past six years and both were resolved in an expeditious manor. One case was a Real Estate caseand the other was a Business Law (partnership disolution)case. Mike was fair, reasonable, and honest about the situation we were involved in and did not try to give me unreasonable expectations about our cases. He called it like it was and we were sucessful on both accounts. He understands the California Legal system for what it is and he maneuvered around the obstacles put in front of us. Neither case went to trial, but he was ready to do so. Both cases settlled out of court, but only because Mike was ready to go to trial and his good work was in position to easily carry the day in court. I recently worked with Dave when my company invested in a growing startup he was representing. I just came across his Avvo profile and thought I should lend my thoughts to those out there looking for counsel. I found him to be very thoughtful in what he says, a really fun and easy going guy to be around, and highly creative in the solutions he offers for complex problems. He was certainly more valuable to the deal than my own attorneys, and found some interesting, yet highly effective ways to close the transaction. After seeing how he negotiated with my "big law firm" in the days leading to our closing, I will certainly be calling him the next time I need some help. He is definitely not a "formal" lawyer, so if that is something you need then maybe he isn't the right guy for you, but I personally enjoyed his progressive approach to legal representation.

I hired Mr. Rothman after several lawyers could not accomplish my needs. I have spoken to a lot of lawyers in my lifetime, but none were as knowledgeable and professional as Mr. Wallace. My issue was very complex, dealing with a number of specific rental laws and Mr Wallace quickly walked me through the issues and helped me work out a favorable resolution. On my first call to him, he answered 8-10 questions off the bat, which really helped me figure things out. After a short meeting we developed a resolution plan and he wrote up a simple proposal for solving my issue. The opposition didn't know what hit them. Before calling Mr Wallace, I was ready to settle the case and take a huge beating, but after 2 letters and some negotiation, I ended up resolving the issue better than I had ever hoped. My advice to anyone looking for a good lawyer, give him a call and ask him a few questions...you will know as I do that he's the best Real-Estate Lawyer in the business.
One more thing...I'm generally very skeptical when I deal with Lawyers billing practices. I was shocked at how reasonable the the fees were.

It's very uncommon, if not very rare to find a hard-working, trustworthy and honest attorney. Maybe I am too negative on lawyers but my experience in dealing with lawyers hasn't been good for more than 30 years. Well, Mr. Cramer may have opened a window for the profession giving me some hope that there are some good lawyers with good character and dignity.
Mr. Cramer started working on my case in a law firm as an associate. He worked hard and was very careful and thorough. He was pretty much single handedly doing the work that was supposed to be the duty of the owner attorney. When Mr. Cramer left the firm, I considered the course of actions and upcoming proceedings, I chose Mr. Cramer over the firm. It proved that my choice was correct and the case was concluded with the outcome I was satisfied with. I would recommend Mr. Cramer very highly.

10 stars for Adam Cramer - I don't know where to start, there are so many excellent qualities rare to find in regular every day People. The caring, personable, professionalism, passionate, and honesty this Attorney has is amazing and a true gem. He has prevailed in our case with a rogue HOA board, where their attorneys were just out to bill hours and not really care, using our own hoa fees against members. He fights like it is his own case and if the action is being taken against him, that is how passionate he is. I have had two cases for Phillip. The first was a business transaction gone bad and required extensive discovery, finding details and analysis of documents. Phillip never stopped looking for the last bit of strength. In the final days he was able to get a favorable settlement from a tough Chapter 11 case.
The 2nd was on behalf of my grandson. He had an opportunity to become a 1/3 partner in a business where he was the acting manager. My Grandson knew my business and knew II was required to use competent legal advise. He asked me to look at the deal proposed by his, then, employer. I referred it to Phillip and , on my grandsons request, guided my grandson on the special points of future protection required to make the deal good for all parties.

My case involved a business matter. One of my customers filed bankruptcy and my corporation had a sizable liability on a Preference Claim. Mr Ashman settled the case for me for 12.5 cents on the dollar. I considered that outcome to be extremely positive. Ours was a very difficult case not only for the amount of factual detail, but the problems of putting the documents together for trial. Aaron was detailed and focused on nailing down all of the evidence.
