Alan Hanson, was trusted and respected till he wasn’t. He failed to do his job in the manner he said he did. He failed to have all the paperwork in order as promised. It has caused nothing but a nightmare now. He tried to shift blame by saying he wasn’t paid his final amount owed and when proved he was paid could only say he forgot. Forgetting is not a good excuse when you are doing an important job like he is. So upon our family members unfortunate passing there has been major issues because he didn’t do the job he was paid to do.

Not sure about the law firm..one thing jorns dont care you story.. the law says you lose off the bat because that is what is presented to her..she will give up and it's too late you spent your money..find somone who will hear your story and fight offence instead of be on defence the whole time. I found at the end of my case she did not show me all the options. Going into another battle with some one new because she gave up on round two..not reliable.we need a bull dog who she rolled over for!

If I can give a 0 star review I would gladly do it. Ms.summers here has contacted me to pay a outstanding balance (which by the way she got the number wrong on the emails she send then from what the invoice said * correct balance is $117.50) anyways I call this law firm and ask for a free consultation. She goes on to tell me if I can forward her the email. So I did then take about 4 days to respond as I did not need anything anymore. Once I don't reply back she hits be with a service invoice of $117.50. Threatening to sue me which for will cost more time and money on her end for the 117.50 😅. She has the audacity to give me an example like services at a dentist and I went on explaining to her that one I have insurance 2 if I do get services from a a dentist or anywhere else they do notify me before the services of an amount of cost for it or if it will even be a charge and 3 if your going to charge for services advice the person whom your speaking with about the amount it would costs and thats if it does cost something. Do not just charge someone without letting them know before hand.

She will fight for every penny even if it means helping some big rich guy put a family out on the street. If you have money she will gladly take your case and soak up as much of it as she can.

This office is horrible. My mother wanted a second set of ears when she talking with this office and they refused to speak to her because SHE wanted someone to listen in. They insisted on a power of attorney for the person my mom requested present. These demands are unrealistic. There's no need for a p.o.a.. Possibly a confidentiality issue but not even that. It's like going to the doctor and having an extra set of ears present. It's not any concern of this office who a member chooses to have present. I would NEVER recommend Riling, Burkhead, and Nitcher! Represent yourself before you bother with this place. There are plenty of qualified attorneys that are happy to help a client.

Would not recommend at all. Blanchard wouldn't respond to calls or emails. In 18 months, he wouldn't file a child support worksheet. He seemed to be working more for opposing counsel than the person that hired him. He refused to file contempt and did nothing when my son was taken against court orders of parenting time. Now hes hitting me with a $6000 bill. He literally did nothing, but cause severe damage and allowed my son to be used a pawn.

I did cal the law firm office on 01/11/24 the lady in fone was nice and she told me he was gonna have an attorney to call me back and yes I did receive the call from one of the attorneys from that law firm
He made a few questions to the end tell me to send him copies I got from my insurance co so I did ask for his email address but he told me no you give yours witch I did
He was suppose to send me an email so we could follow up and he could take a decision if he would consider on taking or not taking the case
He never send the email for me to follow up
Just be honest with your customers if you dont care about the case say so

Took about $6k of my money from August 2021 til I fired her in August 2022 because she neglected to tell me-amongst other things she didn't do-I had a hearing coming up. Told me at 4:30 on a Monday(when I went to pay her)that court for the next day(Tuesday)was cancelled. In reality-court was scheduled for that Wednesday. There was a Notice Of Hearing that she had forgotten to send me prior to that Monday. When she realized I was firing her-then she started sending me invoices with August dates on them showing that she had gone all the way back(in August)to May or June and billed me in August for emails she apparently just decided to go back and read as she had not billed me for these emails prior. How are you supposed to know what's going on with my case let alone inform me that I have a hearing coming up when you're not even reading any of the emails that I'm sending in a timely manner??? I had people telling me all spring to fire her for numerous things she was saying and/or doing that showed she had absolutely zero clue what was going on with my case-no matter how informed I kept her.
Oh but now she's turning me over to collections. When I've emailed her asking exactly what she did for my case-she can't give me a response other than to tell me she's turned me into collections.
Now let another attorney-that is also part of the good ol boys and girls system-come in and say that I'm trying to extort money from her.
Who is really extorting money from who???
UPDATE....March 2024.....since the review was written-things have continued to go downhill for the person I hired Ms. Berger to protect(a 2nd individual) One thing that has occurred is the 3rd individual(I hired Ms. Berger to offer protection from for the 2nd individual)the 3rd individual had a domestic abuse case regarding the individual I hired Ms. Berger to protect. However all this woman wants is her money.
So much for this woman looking out for domestic violence victims......
