Didnt prepare me for court, didn't interview my witnesses, didn't seem to have spent any time preparing himself for hearings, ignored my concerns about being ready for court, and acted very nervous before, during, and after the last hearing. It was hard to get any communication from him, usually taking multiple calls and/or emails and a week of time to get one response. He never talked about our strategy for court, proper court procedure, or really anything besides basic questions at the beginning of the process, which he didn’t seem to remember, as he asked a couple of the same questions minutes before the last hearing. Judging by the questions he dodged, i believe he improperly did the paperwork on my case(legally attested to mailing a notice 2 days before he actually did, and possibly did not send it via the correct mailing method). This would also explain why he didn’t argue the merits of the other party filing a response too late(which he promised to), because his mistake would have been exposed in court. His lack of preparation caused me a panic attack on the stand, in court, and on the record, and his cross examination was aggressive while still not being very effective imo. In the last hearing he was not very good. I was dragged through the mud on record and he didnt even know enough about me to be able to mitigate the damage, or correct the narrative, while i was too emotionally distraught to fight for myself. I believe his lack of preparation and due care resulted in the almost 2 months i sat in anxiety waiting for the ruling. His response to criticism was to the effect of "but we won so it doesnt matter". He risked my whole case by lack of preparation, and did not seem to care at all about the risk to me and my reputation. I would not trust him to represent me again. A decent lawyer should prepare to win, not expect to. He even had the gall to say that opposing counsel was just taking a paycheck and not really trying early in the process. Dont waste your money, you are better off pro se than with his poor representation. Arrogant, hypocritical, careless, dismissive, and untrustworthy.

When I was looking to quiet title on some property I owned I hunted around and got the run around from some other attorneys then I called Tim. He said right away he could help and I made glad I made the decision to go with Tim. Tim is very knowledgeable and explained the process very clearly for someone who has never used an attorney. Mr.Beets did an excellent job filing my divorce, gaining cival joint custody of my children and helping myou husband and I to gain sole custody of his children. He also help my son when he was in legal trouble getting it settled with no problems. The Custody battle was long and ugly and he stuck with us through it all, giving sound advice and working late to ensure we gained custody of our children. He has also worked to keep child suppprt going even though it has stopped a few time. He always goes right back to court for us to ensure our children are being provided for . He is fair and reasonable in the cost of his service as well. My husband now also used him to file bankruptcy and he did it in a timely manner and helped him get back on track. I am very thankful for his expertise. He is strategic in how he approaches every case. I highly would recommend him for anything legally you are struggling with. He will not bullshit you by telling you upfront if you have a case, if it's worth it and he will fight hard for you if he accepts your case.. I called this firm at the referral of my personal injury lawyer. I’ve been dealing with SSA for 4 years now and have had little success. I was really hoping I could get some help from someone who knows the system well. Unfortunately, I called and spoke with their receptionist. She was very unhelpful. She was confused as to why I was calling if I already had a company handling my appeal. I explained to her that this was a mandated situation and the company handling it is who contracts with my LTD (long term disability company). She was standoffish and continued to express her perplexity as to why I would need Emily if I already have a team. I replied saying it didn’t seem like she was interested in helping people who are new to this process and don’t understand the intricacies of disability and wished her a good day. I’m very disappointed and caution anyone who is nervous or fearful of running into more blockades in their disability journey. This place showed me zero empathy or even curiosity into my situation.
