I’ve had Mr. Taiani on two completely different occasions so far and he won both of the cases for me. My last case I had no hopes of not doing any jail time and he got them to bring it down to two citations . Was not hired , thank God. This individual and his office are the most condescending and rude people I have ever experience while searching for legal representation. This guy doesn't let you talk, he cuts you off and makes you feel like you are making up a story. His secretary and her favorite phrase "like I already told you..." is a total clown. She can't even remember what she said and didn't said but she's too eager to use that phrase to look down on others. They need called out on how trashy their customer service is.

Was facing serious charges by an employee of a local VA facility which is supposed to help veterans but instead got me charged with a crime. I did not even know about the charges until I got a letter from Mr. Taiani. I ended up pleading guilty to a summary charge. I felt relieved once I hired Mr. Taiani and that he could cross examine my accuser if need be. I had to bring my own treatment papers to court about treatments the court ordered because some that I emailed to this firm were not printed out but that was probably an error from the secretary but I am happy with the outcome and Mr Taiani is familiar with the local court and we had a good outcome. It was a relief to have Mr Taiani as my attorney I felt like I was no longer going to be jerked around by any VA employee or anyone else. You pretty much have to have an attorney if you are going to be involved in VA healthcare because a federal union protects harmful employees that is criminal in and of itself.

I was advised to contact this office, and I did. I was told that a lawyer from that office would be calling me back…it’s been exactly 30 calendar days and I have not received any calls from this office. I have left a few messages and decided to stop leaving them to see if they would call me back…still no calls. When I called today, the woman that I spoke with, when I asked if this happens regularly, advised that I must’ve “fallen off the lawyers radar”. Think I need to take my business elsewhere…
UPDATED: today is 2/8/22, after being contacted by this office on 12/27, the lawyer finally calls me after I’ve been served custody paper. He commences to speak to me in a very rude manner and raises his voice. This office has been less than professional in EVERY way. I wouldn’t recommend this office to my enemy!

There is so much chaos going on in Allegheny County with its property taxes, it's hard to make sense of it. I was unbelievably frustrated when the school district filed a base year appeal against my house, only for the appeal to be dragged out for two years, amidst several court cases going on about the legality of these types of appeals in the first place. Kevin helped save my sanity by making sense of this convoluted process and guiding me through it. I was impressed at how proactive he was at keeping track of developments and keeping me up to date. And his services were covered by a low flat fee. I am thankful he helped me through this process in the way he did.

I had an initial consultation with Kevin regarding an assessment appeal hearing that went very poorly. After I told Kevin I had submitted evidence prior to my assessment hearing he was inflexible and condescending. Rather than politely explaining why he was no longer able to help me because his firm takes an absolute position on their approach to these cases, he proceeded to lecture me about the ramifications of submitting evidence before a hearing. He acknowledged that other law firms will send evidence prior to these hearings which suggests that my reasonable action in following the instructions provided by the BPAAR in sending evidence before my hearing did not kill my case. Despite this, he rudely explained that there was nothing he could do.
I hadn't disclosed this prior to my call with Kevin, but I'm also a lawyer in the area and I was surprised by Kevin's unprofessional tone towards a potential client who was merely taking initiative in following the instructions provided by the BPAAR. I don't doubt Kevin's experience and ability to handle these matters. However, his condescending approach to client services were unprofessional and unnecessary.

I hired Kathryn Wakefield in April of 2022 to Open a Judgement. She was initially communicative and polite. She asked for a $1000 retainer and I agreed. As soon as she had my money she became uncommunicative. It has been a year since I hired her and she has still NOT filed the paper work to Open the Judgment. DO NOT GIVE THIS LAWYER A RETAINER!!

I hired Attorney Wakefield after seeing the good reviews here, but I did not have a good experience. Felt overpromised and underdelivered. Communication was difficult; she was quick to respond in the initial consult, but after we funded the retainer, it seemed our case was no longer a priority. Expect several days or more between responses to short questions. We were verbally told timeframes that ultimately were not met. Luckily we ended it early, but we lost a bit of money and a few valuable weeks of time in our case. Review her contract carefully and get multiple opinions on your case before making a decision. This review is my personal opinion based on my experience.
