I wish I could fully convey my thoughts about Scott. Scott took on my case midway through the process when my previous attorney quit my divorce. I found myself in a really bad spot having to find a new attorney that was willing to go to trial with a judge that was not in my favor, and against my ex’s attorney who was free. Scott had good graces knowing that I came from an attorney that honestly loathed him, and he took up my banner in the middle of his heavy case load. I cannot tell you how indebted to him and his team for making the impossible possible.
By the time my trial came my case had been completely revamped. His partner Mckail worked diligently on my exhibits for my case and spent the time to really prepare all my witnesses before trial. We walked in to court with a better case than I had in the last year, and Scott’s acumen in the trial was shrewd and well informed. His arguments consistently met with the approval of the judge, and he deftly handled my ex’s attorney when they tried to sneak in testimony that was underhanded.
In the end I got what I fought for two years for, my kids and the equal right to be involved in their lives. My children and I are the direct benefactors of Scott’s skills and help. I absolutely give my recommendation to Scott as an attorney worth working with.

I had a nasty divorce, it took 6 years and in the process I ended up getting a stalking injunction against my mother in law for breaking into our home, vandalizing my property, visiting with our neighbors and spreading rumors and slander. I did that myself and ended up with 8 counts of stalking against her.
She is so vindictive she ended up waiting about a year and then used the some of the same incidents that were counted against her... to try to get an injunction against me. She submitted it in one district court outside of Utah County where the judge flat denied her request. He wrote "This does not constitute stalking!" and underlined it... He wrote denied right on the front cover.
2 weeks later she filed the same thing in the fourth district. The damned judge did not even let me and my divorce attorney present or defend me. He just gave her the Stalking Injunction she asked for. (I think judges are afraid if something were to happen... and they did not give one out... they would be in a jamb)
I hired Dallas to appeal this. He did... and the writing was BRILLIANT... really. If you really want to look it up... Appellate cases are not closed in Utah and the case is public. My name is John Andrew Armstrong. Hers is Candace Peterson... just google it.
It took forever it seems, not for Dallas but for the State Appellate court to make their call. Needless to say, we won and were awarded attorney fees.
Dallas is top notch, I have referred him before to others as well who have had positive experiences. He is safe, effective and smart. Well worth your trust.

My both cases are nearing to Fact Discovery deadlines and I am getting anxious. This time, I need to be very careful in choosing the right lawyer because he is going to be the last, after my 2 previous lawyers. I spent reading reviews and profiles everyday. I can't even count how many lawyers I have talked to. Seem like, I almost called all of the Salt Lake Firms. So, I narrowed my searched and checked Provo areas. Until, I came across to Mr. Gregory Hadley's profile. I love what I read about his experience. Although, I am only seeing one review from a co-worker. But it did not stop me. He said, I have a very difficult case. But "thank, God", he accepted me as a new client. While working with Mr. Hadley, he amazed me everyday. David Jardine is a compassionate and persistent attorney who will fight for what is right. When I found that the opposing party of my small claims case had hired an attorney, I decided that I would need legal assistance as well to make it fair. Mr. Jardine took my case three days before the scheduled court trial. He persisted through extended court dates and appeals until the end of the final district court case. I recently worked with Craig Swapp and Associates, specifically with attorney Matt, and overall, I was satisfied with my experience. Matt was professional, knowledgeable, and always kept me informed throughout the process. He explained everything clearly and responded whenever I had questions or concerns.
One thing to note is that the case took longer than I initially expected, especially since it was a straightforward automotive accident. However, I quickly realized that dealing with doctors and auto insurance representatives can really delay things. Despite the longer timeline, Matt remained diligent and focused, making sure my interests were well-represented.

For over 20 years Mr. Abbott has been my general business Lawyer. Specifically, I have hired him to represent me in four matters; to setup the Corporation, a partnership buyout, a Licensing dispute and a Real Estate matter. I have been pleased with the work that was done on all four matters. All of the staff at the office are professional, available and respond quickly to my concerns. I also like how the tasks that make up a legal case are dispatched efficiently. I never feel like I am being taken advantage of when being billed for services. I had a medical malpractice case, in which I had originally hired a lawyer who should never had taken the case on in the first place. After nearly five years of going no where that lawyer quit my case claiming financial reasons. I called Nelson's office the same day I got the letter, explained the situation and was told to come up the next day with all my documents. After consulting with him, he said he would try to help me, there were lots of things wrong and improperly handled but he saw that I had a legitimate claim. He was able to save my case and took me through to a settlement that I was very lucky to get, after the major errors by my previous attorney. Nelson and his office staff were very responsive to any call or email I sent. They kept me fully informed through out the process and they demonstrated they cared about me and my case. Hopefully I will never again need a malpractice attorney, but I would call on Nelson if ever I did. Wish I had met him before I got involved with the first one, who cost me valuable time and thousands of dollars.

In April of 1988, I retained David D. Jeffs, of Jeffs and Jeffs, Provo, Utah, to create a trust in order to protect my real property and personal assets against potential legal claims and to save them for my offspring when I died. Mr. Jeffs assured me that the assets placed in the trust would be protected. Over the years, I needed to file amendments to both the trust and will. At first, Mr. Jeffs would quickly get those changes made. However, there came a time that after THREE (3) months after a request and he had not made a much needed change, I created the amendment, signed it and had it notarized and then sent him a copy for his records. From that point on, I created any amendments to both the trust and will where Mr. Jeffs had failed to preform the task he was retained to do. I would send Mr. Jeffs emails during the interim which he would not reply to. In March of 2016, I contacted Mr. Jeffs to check on a rumor that I had heard that trust law had changed significantly and my assets were no longer protected. Mr. Jeffs told me that on July 1, 2004, Utah adopted the Utah Uniform Trust Act that changed the protection of assets and in fact, did away with any protection against potential legal claims. Mr. Jeffs indicated that he as a trust attorney had known of the proposed changes for sometime and changes to my trust could have been made to protect my assets under the proposed trust act changes. Yet, Mr. Jeffs failed to notify me of the upcoming changes so that working together, we could have made changes to the trust and protect those assets that were in it. Mr. Jeffs' lack of due diligence and professionalism to me, his client, needs to be made known to the public. He has violated several Rules of Professional Conduct including Rule 1.4, of Chapter 13, Communications with his client.
I am posting this negative review on Avvo so that anyone looking for a trust attorney will be warned that David D. Jeffs lack of due diligence and professionalism and his inability to communicate with his clients. Due to my personal experience with Mr. David D. Jeffs, (#1654), of Jeffs and Jeffs, Provo, Utah, I cannot recommend him for any type of legal work especially if it is regarding a trust and will.
