SCAMMER!!! DO NOT HIRE!!! This person doesn't even deserve to be called a lawyer because he does no attorney work at all. Do not believe all the fake 5-star reviews, the 1-star reviews are exactly who this lazy unintelligent person is. He will call you and message you constantly trying to get your business. During the in-person consultation, he talks a big game like he's a feared lawyer when in fact he's the exact opposite. Just stop and look at his business office. First of all, he doesn't have one, he rents a chair and desk from another lawyer. He doesn't have any paralegals or anyone who works for him. Instead, he uses the office receptionist as his “paralegal”. Once you pay him he doesn't do anything, I sent him evidence, a timeline of events, and photos at his request. In court, he doesn't have a clue what's going on and never used a single document, photo, or any of the evidence I supplied to him. He will leave you in shock by his unprofessionalism and lack of preparation. He showed up to court with a completely empty soft briefcase literally nothing was in it. Honestly, it's sad and disgusting how this man scams his clients but I'm a firm believer in you reap what you sew. Lastly, mark my words he is going to respond to this review with, “ I've never represented anyone with your name. You have the wrong lawyer, please delete the review.” don't believe him. The fact is he just doesn't remember who he scammed for their money.

Edited. I've still never been there. I still get asked by Google for a review almost daily. Hopefully, this edited post will stop Googles inquiries. Please know that despite Mr McKinney's present overwhelming situation, he took the time to respond to me on Google and with an email. He even sent me references for my case since he was not taking on any more new clients. NOW that's a lawyer with integrity!! If you want fairness justice, abd somebody who will actually fight for you. Hire her she will not let you lie you cannot make up lies. You cannot be vindictive. She will help you down to the bottom. Another lawyer practically stole my money and I ended up with L Gavito. At first I thought she was rude with how short she kept phone calls and I was getting and thinking my case is just another pile for her. Nope she called me out nowhere to me to go get my kids for the spring break.
She will work on your case even when you think she is not. LET HER COOK as they say.

Mr. Stolmeier was suppose to be representing me in an accident. A family rear ended me and they took my case for over a year then just dropped my case without any clarity. The person hit me in the rear was charged with a DUI. I feel Like misrepresented because of being from another state.

My ex husband lost his job b/c he was being an idiot at work and wanted to reduce his child support. In court he said he was laid off, but Patrick got him to admit that he wasn't laid off but was fired. The judge ruled in my favor and basically said he wouldn't cut my child support because me ex was an idiot. Patrick said it actually happens more often than I'd think.

At first the insurance company wasn't going to pay me because the person who hit me lied to the cops and that was in the police report and there were no witnesses. I didn't know what to do, and a friend recommended Mr. Stolmeier. When he took the deposition of the other guy, he caught him in a lie and the insurance company finally decided to pay 10 times more than what I originally asked them for.

Ms. Beck was my lawyer for a relatively easy and uncomplicated divorce (no children or major assets). After we met in person, she sent over the initial paperwork to file and my name was misspelled throughout (in two different ways!). Throughout the divorce I found her rather condescending, including, when I didn't catch part of what she was saying on a phone call (the other line was ringing, beeping over her words) and I said "Sorry?" (as I didn't hear her) and she repeated what she had said "It would behoove you." I stopped to think about my response and before I could answer she snapped "Do you not know what that means?" I have a graduate degree so, yeah, I did. She additionally made some assumptions about my political leanings, perhaps based on the part of town I was raised in, which led to some rather unfortunate comments I was uncomfortable hearing from anyone, much less someone I was giving money to or who was representing me in a serious matter. She seemed not to take seriously things I knew about the man I was divorcing and how he would react to situations. This led to more back and forth with his lawyer which meant more money out of my pocket and into hers and an even more stressful divorce. I am sure there are very few people in the world who could recommend their divorce attorney, as divorce is never a good event, but several rounds of clerical errors and inappropriate "chit chat" about sensitive political issues one does not bring up in polite conversation, left me uncomfortable in a way I should not have been.

I hired this attorney in 2015 to handle a debt dispute. He requested a large retainer (upfront) and did nothing to earn it. He did as little as possible and I waited for results that never came. Ultimately, I had to hire another attorney. I am a elderly lady and every penny counts.

Back in 2010 I was arrested for possession of marijuana. I was called to court, showed up the first time and didn't go back after. I had a warrant out for my arrest and moved to California in 2011. Between then and now, my family in Texas had received many letters and phone calls from the bail bonds threatening to take my family's property etc. Just recently, I decided to take care of this issue. I called Mr. Finkel because he had dealt with a case with my family years back. I was expecting the worst, time in jail and/or a large fine because of additional prior charges. From California, I paid a low, flat rate fee to have Mr. Finkel look at the case and see what he could do for me. He made sure to stay in touch when any new information arose and kept me informed as needed. Initially, Mr. Finkel told me that I would most likely have to turn myself in and do close to 30 days in jail. After sharing more information about a potential bias in my arrest, I heard from Mr. Finkel, in less than a week, stating that the case had been dropped, completely. I am extremely pleased with his services, especially services done long distance. I can't thank him enough!

Rob Bondurant successfully followed through on a case that dragged on for several years because my opponent was a thoroughly dishonorable person. My opponent was evidently acquainted enough with the legal system to drag the case out as long as possible, hoping I would give up. but Rob patiently worked with me to resolve it. Evidently, hoping to prevail via illogical and nefarious means, my opponent went through several attorneys. I only had one.

Rob could have taken care of my case in 6 months, but he dragged it out for years. The solution for one motion to resolve things took him several years to come up with. I am not sure if he is inexperienced or if he was trying to drag things out to make more money. Any way you slice it, it was not a good experience overall.

Mr Bondurant did a great job with my divorce. He picked up where my previous lawyer had left me hanging. My case was about to be dismissed and he stepped in got an extension and then finalized the divorce within a month. He kept me informed of each step of the process. His final bill was itemized and quite fair for the quality of his service. I would highly recommend Mr Bondurant to anyone needing legal representation in a civil case.

My family and I spent a lot of money on Mrs. Vela and he didn't do a good job representing me. I had never been in trouble before and instead of working with the co defendant he worked against her. She got off with less time and less everything compared to me and her lawyer was free. I also needed him later on to try and get me off earlier and sent another $1000 in and instead he used that money for paperwork which I provided for something else. I have paid him over $8000 and 5 years later I'm still on probation. I've requested information for my case and never received it. He promised a lot and came through with nothing that makes him untrustworthy. He was never responsive I alway has to call a few times to get ahold of him. He also never kept me informed unless I made the initiative.

At best, a weak and incompetent attorney. From my conversations with three other attorneys, possibly corrupt, and from a conversation with an attorney from the firm that delegated my case over to Carl Brock, he, at a minimum, mishandled my case. For a competent attorney it would have been an open and shut case. Carl Brock "lost it", or as suggested to me, worse.
I ended up losing everything "courtesy" of Carl Brock's handling my case.
And he had the audacity to blame the jury.
PATHETIC lawyer.

I met this attorney and what she told me was that she does not take a case that she cannot win. The beginning was fine, there was active communication, then radio silence. I sent numerous emails and made several phone calls. The administrative assistant said she couldn't track her down, was unavailable, was out of the office etc (that's how many times I'd called). I asked to speak with another member of the team, and did not receive a phone call or e-mail back from them either. She even set up appointments that she missed. I have paid this attorney a few thousand dollars and NOTHING! If you would like an attorney that will call you back, please do not have her represent you. I definitely suggest do your research before hiring any attorney. Especially this one!

I was referred to Mr. Garza to represent me. We spoke several times, and he agreed to represent me. He was going to send me the representation agreement that day, or the next day. No agreement arrived. There were several more phone calls, several more promises of a forthcoming representation agreement. Meanwhile, other persons, who required the name of the person who was representing me, were becoming frantic. After about 2 months, when no agreement arrived, I gave up - and found another attorney. I never heard from Mr. Garza after the last phone call I made to him, when he yet again promised to send me the agreement.

I contacted Mr. Placier to help with an immigration problem. I'm a naturalized citizen, and had my wallet stolen with my driver's license and SS card. Instead of telling me he was not qualified, he bragged about "knowing" people in our community to expedite the process. Mr. Placier deceived me for four years, giving me excuse after excuse why it was taking so long to get copies made. Mind you, I could not travel or find legitimate work due to having no ID or proof of citizenship. In 2014, I was diagnosed with an abscess on my spine which cause me to be a quadriplegic. I had to investigate to find my adopted family, who I had been estranged for over 20 years, to get copies of my documentation. After that, I found a website that found my documentation and sent me copies by mail. The process took me two weeks and only $25! He had lied and told me it would cost me $300/per document and take upwards of a year to get copies made. He had me hanging for four years telling me there were difficulties in my particular case! DO NOT use this man! He's a criminal attorney, he should have turned me away and saved me the turmoil! Now, because I couldn't work (legitimately) in those four years, I was denied disability! He should be disbarred!! IMO

I asked Mr Shaffer a question and instead of responding to my question he managed to use profanity towards me towards me . I'll find this very unprofessional and disrespectful from an attorney who's supposed to be a professional. Of course I wouldn't expect anything less from someone who purchased liens from homeowners associations and evicted many families from their homes many with children. He and his buddy Brian Trenz make millions of dollars a victim homeowners from their home. Anyone who has had dealings and been wronged by attorney David Schaefer or his buddy attorney Brian Trenz . I wrote him checks-no reciepts, no client confidentionalliy contract. Never returned calls , did not send copies of briefs or filings. Neglected my case severily. Spent about 10k for services. He did not representmy case properly. Had to retain new council and may have cost me my case and several thousands of dollars on a case where the award should have been mine all the way to 5th Circuit Court of Appeals

My wife and I hired Mr. Lee to settle a property dispute with her ex husband. Mr. Lee took over $3500 from us and improperly filed a claim that was immediately thrown out of court. When we asked for another hearing he charged us more money. After giving him the money and over a year of time, Mr. Lee has been MIA. He will not return our calls. Do not hire, you will get burnt, he will take your case so far and then quit, walk away, leave you hanging. You will be forced to hire another lawyer, to clean up his mess and finish the case, and it's not cheap. He will sit on a bad ruling because he wasn't prepared and that will hurt your case, on top of that you will get the pleasure and "expense" of filling an appeal that isn't cheap and then do the trial again. Of course I had to give him one star, because it requires something, too bad it doesn't have negative stars .

Me. Denton has been a very down to earth. He shows a interest in our case. He’s straight forward and has not come off as a money grubbing lawyer. I truly feel he has our best interests at hart and is willing to be straightforward on billing. Any intelligent lawyer needs to be compensated for there time but fairly of course. We hired Matt over 2 yrs ago to handle a bad real estate transaction. He said it shouldn't take more then 6 months to settle. Here we are 2 yrs and 2 months later nothing settled and haven't been able to get him to respond to emails, phone calls or text since Aug (almost 4 months).
