My father set up a trust with Chris Vorbeck in the early 2000's. When Dad passed, the movement of everything to Mother could not have been smoother. When Mother passed 5 years later, Chris took care of everything moving assets smoothly to me. My wife and I set up our own trust with his help and it always felt like we were his only clients. I have had very little experience with attorneys in my lifetime, but I can not imagine it being any easier that Chris Vorbeck made the process. He felt like a member of the family.

We hired Mr. Chapman to help us with a construction contractor that never finished the work, then billed for the entire job. Mr. Chapman answered all our questions and explained our options pertaining to communication with the contractor and how to ensure things were correct with the municipality. We followed his recommendations and had a positive resolution to the matter.
Mr. Chapman was very accessible, professional, and easy to talk with. His fees were reasonable and he made sure we received a good value for our dollar, We learned a lot and would highly recommend him as a construction attorney.

John Chapman took care of all of my legal documents including power of attorney, health care surrogate, living will and revokable trust, and some other business related documents.. He has also provided excellent follow-up and advice. He is very patient and thorough. I would say that his fees are reasonable. I have also referred him several of my patients for their legal issues. If I could give less than one star, I would. Jamie is all too happy to take money, but not happy to be held accountable for the job for which you hire her. She and another lawyer screwed me and my kids, and when I begged and pleaded for her to fix it, make it right. She told me it wasn’t going to affect me and she didn’t know why I was worried about it (see attached email response). To this day, it does affect me, and my children, and she simply didn’t care to make it right after happily accepting thousands of dollars. I am still dealing with a case that she didn’t fix and reached out again to try to have her resolve but she doesn’t even bother to answer. I had to file a bar complaint for her to respond only for her to tell me she feels she did her job. If that were the case why doesn’t the state recognize the order she filed and why won’t she fix it? This lawyer has no integrity, so if you want someone who will take your money and offer no help, this is the lawyer you want. She is overpriced and doesn’t even do her job. It’s a wonder she hasn’t be disbarred.

I had a horrible experience with Icard Merrill, I retained Lindsey Meshberger for a divorce case. There was a constant lack of communication but the 3 biggest problems were #1) changed her hourly billing, one month after retaining her and then when I asked about it, I received no reply. #2) Told the judge in court that the reason she lacked information on my case is because she just received the case when she had the case for 4 months prior. #3) I was not even informed of a case management hearing that I had until it was over and couldn’t participate. At this point, I don’t know whether to consider this maltreatment racist or negligent. Her paralegal, Kathie Summa was god awful and argumentative whenever approached with any concerns. This is an honest review from my very REAL experience with ICard Merrill. I understand that everything can not go my way in a case but there is a level of professionalism and transparency that should be handled with any business, that was not done with ICard Merrill.

We are so grateful for Tim Rudge and his paralegal, Mitzi for their work on our case. To start, they rescued our stalled case from our own bad choice of first attny. Tim took over and got our case going in the correct direction right away. He clearly explained every step and option we had in our case and executed our choices promptly with no ego or agenda. Tim and Mitzi were always easy to reach, we never waited more than 24hrs for answers. Mitzi copied us on documents and emails, usually the same business day, and always made sure we understood them and didn't have any questions. I paid for this guy to handle my wife's custody case. He ignored her and didn't even show up to a court date. We got tired of it so hired another lawyer and when the lawyer looked in to the case he found out that whitney coyne lied about two motions he filed. The man didn't even file the motions. VERY HARD to get a hold of even during business hours, and WAITS UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE if not longer to prepare witnesses you provide and important information for your case. Hired Whitney for a restraining order as well as domestic abuse charges involving the same person. Told upfront taking care of the situation(s) with person to be handled was $5000. After ONLY FILING the injunction he refused to do any further without further pay, even to just move for contempt of court when my restraining order was violated!!!! Overpriced and absolutely not worth it. Paid 5k for something SPARC could’ve done for free and was left feeling abandoned when I asked for help involving the same case. Not aggressive in court, I was verbally attacked by the defendants lawyer and he never objected or interrupted once on my behalf.

I hired Dana J Watts for a civil issue I had with a local business which is known for conning customers. Mr. Watts didn’t provide his fiduciary duty. Mr. Watts also billed me beyond what was agreed upon, what was against his own advice to me in our first meeting. He referred to the defendant’s lawyer as a nobody and said that he would know he has to back down if you hire me. All Mr. Watts did was con me like the business I hired him to go against.

Kelly is a very nice person but not a good lawyer. She put the least amount of effort possible into my case and of course lost. She filed no motions or paperwork even though I gave her a lot of help with my case, she didn't know how to cross examine and show that the witness was lying and I would not put a perfectly good witness on the stand even though he missed work to help me. She was unprepared for another of my witnesses testimony and I would have preferred to save my money and couldn't have done any worse as my own attorney. She needs to listen to her clients and not just take money without giving a damn what the outcome of the case is. I've filed a complaint with the BAR to get my money back. Very Poor Job she did for me!!!

I just signed my contact less than 24 hours and already I have not heard back from my emails or left messages and calls. Yesterday, after leaving the office I could not get a hold of the office (two person team) and today the same. Tomorrow is a holiday so I doubt anyone will be working. Also, I expect a lawyer to be truthful, in my case my lawyer expense may not be compensated unless a judgement is won through litigation, not negotiation. I was told by Kelly it could be compensated. Two other lawyers with 20 years experience over her clam this to be false.

I am from out of state and was in a hurry to close my mother's estate. I had a feeling that I was in the wrong place when I got to his office but I did not have time to find another lawyer. A simple probate case took them nearly 14 months and $8,000 to close. I should have known better.
I will say that his legal aide was always polite and understood my frustrations. She gets 5 stars!

Mr Harrison and his staff are terrible about getting back to you. I felt that important issues were falling through the cracks because of his lack of responsiveness and followup. I feel like we overpaid for simple services-as we didn't come out of our foreclosure any better off than if we would have had no lawyer at all. I often had difficulty understanding Mr Harrison too because he stutters. I feel very frustrated with this law firm most of the time.
