Prompt and courteous service. My title insurance company had retained Rathbun Bateman to file a lawsuit to correct my deed. This isn't as adverse as it sounds; the relief we sought was merely for the seller to sign and notarize a deed correction of mistakes made by the real estate attorney who drafted the original deed. We only resorted to filing a lawsuit after the title claim representive had reached out to the seller multiple times, but she didn't respond. The lawsuit enabled us to, based on the evidence, to get my deed corrected whether she cooperated or not. It wasn't adversarial to the seller; we just wanted the right thing to be done, so it wouldn't complicate future sales of the property. Mr. Bateman was courteous and sympathetic to both parties and was able to calmly and gently explain to the seller that there was no need for her to panic, as all we wanted was for her fix something that wasn't her fault, but only her notarized signature could fix. She complied with the request and Mr. Batemen expeditiously moved the court for a final order and dismissal for the convenience of all parties. Now that my deed has been corrected, it no longer presents a possible barrier to future title settlements, insurance claims, or matters where the property could serve as collateral.

We retained Mr Bozof in a construction lawsuit. We were sued by a client after completing the structure. Thye just didn't want to pay us because money was tight for them and they wanted to use small issues with the plumbing to try to claim the foundation was done wrong. He immediately identified what we needed to do, and was able to understand everything that came up. I never had an attorney who understood commercial building code. He had several expert witnesses available too that we consulted with and they confirmed every thing he said. At a 2 day trial Mr Bozof cut to the chase. I think the judge immediately saw that the claims against us were bogus. Also, one of their expert witnesses wasn't even qualified for plumbiing and mr Bozof got him kicked out. It was quite impressive. We got paid, and they had to pay for our legal fees too. Very happy with Mr Bozof.

I was referred to Mr Bozof for a copyright infringement matter in VA, and he was excellent. In my initial consultation it was clear he had deep knowledge of the subject matter; I did not hesitate to hire him, and thankful I did. My goal was to make this matter go away as quickly as possible, and Mr Bozof did just that. He communicated with me consistently, and presented a number of alternative strategies along with the associated risks of each one. (mostly surrounding time and cost). I chose the least expensive/time consuming strategy with him, and he executed it perfectly, working with opposing counsel to a very reasonable settlement. Because of Mr Bozof, I was able to put a distracting matter quickly in the rear view mirror so I can focus on my business. I would not hesitate to hire him in the future.

Not only did Mr Bozof fail to do the work I initially paid him to do, he charged me a few more thousand to do the work I had originally hired him for. Then, he couldn't produce the work he "did". Be warned, Mr Bozo has a million excuses. At one point he told me he never gave his clients documents he completed for them. Then the roof in his office collapsed; then his admin quit and he couldn't get into his email; then all his documentation was destroyed in the roof collapse; then it was his new admin's fault; he was locked out of his email... You see where I'm going with this? Take it from me, Mr Boozoff is a terrible communicator who is quick to take your money but slow to produce any results. And if he says he understands the IRS, run-hangup-fake an excuse to keep your money in your pocket.

Just a "WOW" all around. Ryan Brown and his assistants were the loveliest people. I got an appointment quickly. Will and other estate planning documents were all in draft form at my first appointment (they will provide a questionnaire prior to your appointment and draw up preliminary documents). Mr. Brown is easy to talk to, he explains things brilliantly, he listens attentively, his expertise is evident. At our final meeting I was provided with a wealth of information supplementary to my legal documents including a personalized emergency contact wallet card. Mr. Brown is incredibly thorough. I can't recommend him more highly. I just wish I had more legal needs so I could meet with him and his staff again.

We found Russell Adams through an internet search for Virginia bankruptcy attorneys and were immediately impressed with the amount of free information on his website. When we emailed for some information specific to our situation, Russ responded immediately. This set the tone for our entire relationship. He was responsive and available from beginning to end. Russ was extremely generous with his time, and we feel we got more than our money's worth. We were very upset about needing to file for bankruptcy and felt ashamed of our situation. Russ was so kind and professional, and helped us keep a realistic perspective. He really held our hands through the whole process. We knew we had a good one from the beginning, but it was never more clear than when we went to the courthouse to meet with the trustee. The other people there with counsel seemed unprepared, and so did their attorneys. Some of the other lawyers were not dressed professionally, didn't know the answers to the trustee's questions, and were frankly kind of unpleasant. It was clear that those attorneys "phoned it in." Russ not only looked the part, but he was the consummate professional, had every I dotted and every T crossed, and had a very collegial relationship with the trustee. Because he prepared us so well for the meeting and guided us through it with such expertise, we felt completely comfortable, which we did not expect under the circumstances. We have already recommended Russ to several friends and acquaintances, and would do so again in a heartbeat. We feel really fortunate that we found him and he was able to work with us. Filing bankruptcy is no fun, but Russ helped us to get through it with a positive attitude and a focus on what comes next. We got a real rockstar attorney when we hired him, and are so glad he's the one we picked!

I can't say anything but positive things about Russ. I normally don't like to spend my time writing reviews on people, restaurants, etc. However, I am more than happy to write such a review for Russ. I was referred over to Russ from a friend and he was very kind and informative about the whole process. Nobody likes to have to file for bankruptcy and although it can be quite embarassing, Russ put my mind at ease. Even after the case was over, Russ still was more than happy to help me out even though he was already paid for his services. I would highly recommend Russ!

Very satisfied with results from Mr. Curcione. He'll tell you what you need to know and what to do, regardless of how much you've screwed up in multiple occasions and situations, he does not give up and knows the law very well. He was able to dropped and closed false accusation cases and investigations against me which has been a long arduous process. Highly recommend if you're dealing with PPO and, as active duty service member, he worked with me through NCIS investigation, as well. Highly recommend to any and all criminal cases!

I have known Jonathan for over 20 years; he was the first student I had as a drum instructor when I was in college, and I have always liked and had tremendous respect for him. My respect for him as a lawyer is newly acquired, though, and I couldn't be more thankful that I called him! Although I won’t go into detail, I will say that he helped me resolve a terrible situation that could have become a significant burden on my life. By the time I met Jonathan, I had already met with other lawyers and talked to countless people; I was almost convinced that I wasn’t going to be able to find someone who could help me. After meeting with Jon for the first time, I knew I had made the right decision and already felt worlds of weight lifted off my shoulders, and he continued to do that until we went to court. I got in my first major car accident last year in November and it was a major blow financially and emotionally for me because it wasn't my fault at all and I had no idea where to turn too for legal help. By the grace of God my fiancee's coworker suggested this law firm for my case because he had such a good experience with them and let me tell you he wasn't lying. Throughout the whole process so far they have been so helpful and nice making this traumatic experience for me so much easier to get through. While recovering from my injury they even sent little care packages! Me and my fiancee thought that was so nice of them, For them to go out of there way to do that for us. I have full confidence in them resolving my case and hopefully this review helps someone else reach out to get the help and compensation they deserve as well. God Bless this law firm for helping so many people at a time where, like me is so traumatic and hard, and when it seems like there is no where to turn for good help.

We used McCarthy and Akers for two of our house closings (selling and buying), and we were very impressed by their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to explain each step of the process. And when our buyer’s title company had made an error on the buyer’s documents, McCarthy and Akers caught it and got everything squared out with them before we signed the paperwork. We were so impressed that my wife and I came back to them when we decided to make our wills. Doug McCarthy, Dan Mitchell, and their team made the process extremely simple and explained all of our options that made it very easy to understand. We filled out a small packet ahead of time to give them pertinent information, and when we came for our initial meeting, Doug and Dan were prepared, and we were able to go through all the necessary information in 30 minutes. They had refreshments for us as well to top it all off! I recommend McCarthy and Akers to my family and friends, and I would do the same for anyone who needs the services they have to offer.

Scheduled an appointment for consultation and when I received the appointment it was for a phone call.. I arranged my work schedule for that day to take the call at home for privacy as I work in an office of 2000 associates. She had her office to change my appointment time and move it up and I didn’t even get 24 hour notice that she needed to change the time. Then when I could not they attempted to change to the next day like I can just tell my job I am going to run out whenever I want. She then refused the consultation all together . Very unprofessional and rude.
