I retained Adriana to help me on a personal matter. Eye has an amazing reputation. A frivolous lawsuit was filed against me affecting my personal reputation. I was very upset that it would cost a lot of money and was fake. Adriana assured me that she had the skills to handle. Zachary represented me through an appeal and then a modification hearing. All along the way he consulted with me about the process, the steps we were going to take and what to expect - both the good and the possible bad. Para legal handling my case was extremely rude and anything but helpful. Please ask for someone other than her. She is a roadblock to getting help within this company. If her bosses only knew what she does to hinder the help of their clients. Do yourself a favor and deal with someone other than Laura. She thinks she is a lawyer and cuts you off without listening to your concerns. Anyone there would be a be help than her.

I had a very frustrating, and potentially negatively life altering, experience with Ms. Ressler earlier this year. The error on her part cost my family time, frustration, and stress to myself and my children.
I was advised to file a temporary order of protection which involved making claims against family members. Unbeknownst to me, Jessica Ressler has a general modus operandi of being an extremely aggressive attorney, regardless of the situation. Her tactics involve getting her clients temporary orders of protection, involving the police, and using false statements. For those who are not aware, these tactics often negatively impact children. She treats every case the same, and her reputation in the industry is well known as being overly aggressive to the point of being detrimental to her clients and their cases. Further, her strategy unnecessarily involves child protective services who are legally obligated to investigate each case, and each parent, regardless of the accusations made.
Without going into significant personal detail, the filings I made under Ms. Ressler's guidance landed me in the cross hairs of CPS for no apparent reason. The result could have led to a permanent record, termination from my job, and an inability to be involved in some children's activities. When I pointed this out to Ms. Ressler, I was met with vague explanations and no real accountability, nor help to assist me from a legal standpoint. While initially she was attentive to my questions, once this occurred, her communication stopped instead of following up on ways to assist me, as though she signed off from my case. Ultimately, the CPS case was resolved without issue based on evidence provided by my family.
It should be noted that Ms. Ressler was recently formally admonished in court for her tactics and procedures. As previously stated, her reputation amongst attorneys in the NYC metro area is well known, and not well regarded.
I would not trust this lawyer with anything important and would highly caution others to do their due diligence before hiring her. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for legal counsel.

I was arrested for DWI and Assault in Fairport, NY. I was a passenger in a car driven by my girlfriend. We had stopped in the road to make a turn and a car rear ended us.
The impact was so great that the car was totaled. I had to climb out of the driver side window and that is when the driver who hit us told the Police that I was the driver.
The driver of the other car came over to me and started a fight and I had to defend myself and my girlfriend.
I immediately contacted Mr. Morabito to represent me for the criminal charges of DWI, assault and traffic tickets. If I was convicted of DWI, I would have lost my job.
If I was convicted of assault, I could have been looking at jail time. Mr. Morabito did such an amazing job that all my charges were dismissed at trial.

My kid's father hired and paid the retainer fee of this firm. Unfortunately, before his first court appearance, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer and passed away. The kids requested a refund of the retainer to help cover the cost of his burial, as he had no savings. Despite numerous calls and visits, we were only refunded $1,000 out of the $3,500 paid. This experience reinforced the belief that some attorneys can be seen as scams, as demonstrated by the actions of this particular lawyer. Good job for stealing $ for a service you never did as these young kids are still paying for the costs a year later.

I was fortunate to have found Paul! I tasked him with writing my prenup, and he was attentive and helpful throughout the entire process. I had zero prior experience with marital law, and I came to him with a ton of loose ideas for what my partner and I were looking for in the document. I knew it would be a difficult task to come to an agreement between all parties, and draft a legal document that satisfied everyone’s interests, but Paul came through. As for someone who is a victim of sexual assault. I came across this law firm hoping to be taken as a client but unfortunately this did not happen. Don’t get me wrong, the staff is very nice. However, they make it seem like you are talking to Norma for the 1 hour intake call on the website but really you are speaking to a Law Clerk named Roshelle who was also very nice. I did not appreciate the fact, they didn’t have the decency to call me to tell me the unfortunate news. I had to scroll through a bunch of emails to find an email from Norma. If you have to pay a $275 fee (only refundable if they don’t take you as a client) just for a person to get information about your legal situation when other lawyers do it for free is kind of crazy.

All I have to say is he let the statue of limitations get passed due on my accident. Since he never sued that means I cant get money on my case. I have a good case that wasnt my fault. The other car was responsable. I had to have surgery. Mister Thomas didnt want to go to court because he kept saying it costs money and he was talking to the insurance company and the other guy only had a little bit of insurance so it wasnt worth it. But he owes me to fight for me because he is my lawyer. Thats why I hired him. If it was easy I would of taken care of the case myself. But I dont know the law. But I know It wasnt my fault and I should of gotten paid. I am trying to figure out what to do about this. If anybody has advise please help me or if you have another lawyer who knows what to do please let me know.

I'm so glad I went with this firm! I've been in several car accidents—thankfully only two of them resulted in serious injuries. The first happened many years ago, and I called a high power law firm (who shall remain nameless) to pursue my case. They were great at first but then rarely got back to me or let me know what was going on, and when I finally met with the lawyers they told me that because they didn't have enough evidence my case had very limited potential and encouraged me to settle for a small amount. I thought that's just the way the law works, but through working with Mr. Lavin the second time around I've discovered there's more to it than that. First of all, the old firm told me that nothing happens right away and that I need to wait. This is true BUT there are certain things that need to be done right away, like PRESERVING EVIDENCE. I learned this during my first meeting with Mr. Lavin, when he called in his employee to send him to the intersection where the accident happened. They managed to get surveillance video from the Duane Reade on the corner which recorded the entire accident! When the insurance company refused to settle my case for a fair amount Mr. Lavin brought my case to trial, and that surveillance video ended up making a I ended up getting WAY more money than I ever hoped for. My advice to anyone injured in a car accident is to make sure to hire a firm that specializes in accident cases! Ask them what they are going to do to progress your case TODAY. And if you're in the NY area, you can't do better than the Law Office of Thomas J. Lavin!

If you have any kind of trial you'd be better off throwing your money away. Very little prep work, very meek in litigation, and puts up little to no fight. According to multiple other attorneys he failed to inform me of a very common law practice and actually suggested the bribe the other attorneys offered for me to drop the case.... this man took money and refused to even return a phone call after he lost the most important moment of my life!

Chris is the man! I got pulled over for doing 15 over the speed limit just entering Chemung County on my way to Horseheads while passing another driver on I86 and the officer cited me for 10. It was Good Friday that day and this wasn’t the best Friday for me to get pulled over lol. I am a PA (out of state) driver so even though the points wouldn’t affect my PA driving record, my auto insurance would have spike if I would have plead guilty to the ticket. Plus I will be moving to New York State shortly so I had to take care of this somehow. I talked with Chris Tunney who assured me that he would able to talk the ADA into reducing the points. And he did just that. In New York state, 10 over the speed limit is 3 points. Chris got my speeding ticket reduced from 3 points to 0 points and a non moving violation. He came through for me like he said he would. If you ever get pulled over, Chris is the man to talk to.

Cappy has now TWICE not shown up to court after being paid. In addition, he has cancelled meeting abruptly and has shown a general disregard for all professionalism and care for the case. I am truly shocked that there can be someone out there who is this bad at simply showing up for court as a lawyer. I would rather have a court appointed attorney than pay for this man’s representation. It is truly one of the worst experiences imaginable.

While many people can simply make a bad claim about a lawyer without backing that claim up with facts, I can back my claims up with facts. Walk in and sit down in Cappy's office and you will immediately witness that he is an extremely unorganized man. Where being unorganized is not a necessarily a bad quality in itself, when it hinders a person in the function and effectiveness of their duty, THEN it becomes a bad quality.
While representing me (or should I say misrepresenting me) Cappy once allowed the opposing party to write up the compromise that was agreed upon in court between my ex husband and I concerning the details of the custody of our daughter. The agreement was completely bastardized by the opposing attorney and sat on Cappy's desk for weeks; because it was neither read nor challenged, the time limit for the challenge ran out and the bastardization thus became a court order. This one catastrophic stroke of incompetency on Cappy's part devastated our case and my child's future and rendered the $14,000 dollars that I had paid up until that point WASTED!
When confronted with this complete failure on his part, not only was he not sorry but he responded with an almost frightening look of outrage! We were forced to release him as as our lawyer and not pay him the measly $1,000 that he insisted we owed him, Cappy even had the audacity to threaten us with action if we did not pay him. The losses that our family suffered because of the incompetency of Cappy Weiner never were recovered, and I don't just mean the financial losses, I mean the loss of a healthy childhood for my daughter.
