Street sweeper ran me off the road Dec 2020 driver did not stop a witness chased it long enough to get a picture of its license plate number. I was left unconscious with a T.B.I. broken neck and broken back I was in a lot of pain and didn't know what to do being a exaddict and convicted felon I didn't think anyone would help me. Somehow I got in contact with M&Y attorneys and after getting them the police report stating I was not at fault Robert Hughes got me some much needed medical help. His medical team was amazing. Thank you Robert I appreciate your help. My attorney Che Hashim got the 700k settlement he wanted M&Y personal injury attorneys took the 45% they wanted. Sukhi tasked John Garil to get the settlement check to me that took 115 days. I have now received level 3 neck fusion surgery and 246k. In still always in pain with a broken back and a T.B.I.

Capstone was about the only law firm willing to deal with Seterus Mortgage, a subsidiary of IBM, that violated debt collection practices allowed in California. I could not be happier that Seterus ended up paying out a lot of Californians and spending a lot of money on defense and plaintiff costs but wish the checks had been more to everyone. California law protected Seterus from a larger payment with a ceiling on the awarded damages. Seterus looks like it will continue to have more problems with other suits against their inept billing practices that generated phone calls to Californians at crazy hours, including after payments had been made and the account was current. Capstone represented many of us against Seterus as they were not willing to settle until Capstone Law convinced the courts and Seterus that they had violated civil law after the suit was prematurely dismissed in San Diego, leading the case to California appeals and Supreme courts before Seterus was willing to agree to settle. Thank You Edward Davidson

Aaron is sharp and knows what he is doing when it comes to anything landlord/tenant related. I came to him for a dispute I had that felt impossible at the time, but after hiring Aaron, he simplified it and came up with a resolution that I was extremely happy with. I highly recommend him for any and all landlord / tenant / habitability matters.

I was hit by an SUV while walking in 2021. Mr Raven told me he could get me over $100,000. Without going to court he knew I didn’t want to go to court He said he could negotiate with insurance companies so that I wouldn’t have to pay them any money. It wasn’t until mid 2024, that Ted fully explained-that insurance companies can demand money back when you use your insurance when you’ve had an accident. And I started getting bills from my insurance co in 2022. I even had to pay interest! I had to send him my information more than once as his Assistant misplaced the documents that I originally sent. And he dropped the ball. There were some follow-up visits that were necessary for me to have explaining how the damage to one leg impacted my ability to walk and resulted in me, needing to have surgery on the other leg, and also exacerbated the original leg injured by being hit by the SUV. He’s very unorganized and when he and if your cases isn’t worth a lot of money, he’ll stop communicating with you wound up with $16,000. He wound up with $22. He charges 45% and we had talked about him not taking 45% given the errors that he made, but he still charged me 45%, because he said he had to file the case in court, but we never went to court. He only agreed to reduce it to just 40% if I didn’t post my negative review. So beware, there may be lots of positive reviews but I guarantee you he negotiated to avoid the negative ones. I would just stay away. He's not organized And he’s not honest.

Raven Law is an amazing law firm. As a small business, Ted Raven delivers an absolutely amazing personal touch. Ted would always return my calls and explain things to me thoroughly and clearly to the point that I was never left with any questions. Even though I had medical insurance through Kaiser and Medi-Cal, they were both asking for large sums of money from my settlement that Ted was able to negotiate and bring down significantly, to the point that I was able to get a larger settlement for myself. I would absolutely recommend Raven law to anybody who is looking for an injury lawyer. It was so nice actually talking to an attorney and not just people relaying messages for an attorney. I hope I'm never in a position where I have to have an injury lawyer again... But if I do... Ted will be my first phone call. Thank you, Ted, and thank you to all your staff who helped me get through this. God bless 🙌🏻

This man is awful and his practice is unethical. He got a free 1000 from scamming my family. Didn’t even bother to look up my father’s case we literally paid him 1000 for him to see my father in person and demand more money. He did not look up his case or offer any type of consultation on how we can help my father. BEWARE of this awful unethical attorney that’s ok with scamming families out of their hard earned money.

I can start by saying there was 2 attorneys involved in my can and the other one dropped the ball at every turn. if it was not for Shoham their firm would have been fired. My case was not that complicated but having the other atty messing things up and not push things forward really hurt me and my family. I found Shoham to always be cleaning up the other attorneys mess and keeping me grounded. Sometimes it was hard to get info on my case such as upcoming hearings and the results of hearings. Shoham was not suppose to be my main atty but ended up doing most the work. if I had to do it again i would make sure Shoham was the main atty or the only atty involved. overall he did a great job with the exception of some ups and downs but again I don't think he was to blame for those. Would I use Shoham Solouki again? Yes, i would but i would make sure he is the one working your case....

Should be zero stars. A complete waste of time, at either office. The receptionist wouldn't let me answer her questions, then transferred me to someone who was incredibly rude and hung up on me. A call to their other office to try to get help showed they had already spread garbage and lies about me. I am a 100% disabled veteran with a service connected disability and suffer from emotional dysregulation, among other things. This business is complete and total garbage. Businesses like this make me regret my military service. Avoid, even if you have to pay. These people do not give a single crap about you.

Renee Mochkatel wasted my time. Unfortunately I was referred to this firm at the time because the other lawyers don’t work Ventura County cases. I must say it has been a complete waste of time dealing with these people. It took her two months to get back to me for an incident report just to say that she couldn’t help me and she claims she has sent me many emails, which is not true because I have every receipt listed. I’m extremely disappointed in her lack of professionalism. I would not recommend her to work with anybody. She has no quality of care and it seems like everybody in this firm Have the same tendencies. Luckily, I found Attourney who has communicated with me and is willing to help me I thought I should go with him because I was referring huge mistake on my end!

I had to do a lot of leg work in the beginning and that was key to winning the case/settlement at the Fed DOP hearing. Overall it was a good experience and I was thankful he was helping me. I really appreciated his skill in obtaining a higher settlement than I could have. He even repaid the initial consultations fee from his portion of the settlement payment. I paid this guy $3,200 and he did absolutely nothing! Oh wait, let me correct that. He took my money and asked me to join his Amway pyramid scheme, which I foolishly did. Every time we met, we discussed how to sell the products and build a customer base. When asked for a itemized list of how the money was spent, he refused to give me one. I had to go to the state bar association, which of course cleared him of any wrongdoing.

I ended up firing Attorney Grant for nonperformance. He didn't show up to appointments. He would cancel last minute. He didn't respect my schedule or time. He did absolutely nothing he was hired for. I filed a grievance against him with the Washington state board of attorneys. He never returned his files to me for the work he claimed that he allegedly did nor did he ever provide me a detailed invoice like I requested of him. I'm still waiting for an update from the state board of attorneys on the status of my grievance against him. He kept my money and had the audacity to claim I owed him 3 k more when he never was able to provide a detailed invoice even. Do not hire him. He's unethical and did nothing for which he was hired/paid. Now I'm stuck fighting him and with no help to deal with a sexual harassment case I hired him for. He had absolutely no idea what he was doing yet he took my money, did nothing. It was additional trauma I didn't deserve to have to deal with and I'm still stuck with dealing with him because he doesn't do what is right. He's acknowledged that he's terminated as of 12/13 and he withdrew but he hasn't refunded me my money, returned my files for the work he supposedly conducted, never gave me a detailed invoice, never did anything at all for which he was hired, he didn't follow the protocol an attorney should and messed things up. What he did do was bill me for meetings where he did absolutely nothing, referred me to a counselor who he uses for his cases who was just as shady as him and the one form he sent in had grammar errors, spelling errors, facts wrong about incidents, and he just copied hand written notes thereby also revealing confidential matters protected by attorney client privilege to the opposing party that I've since had to fight through without a lawyer. He hasn't done the decent thing and refunded me my money, acknowledged that he's been disciplined by the Washington state board of attorneys or at the least contacted by them for his misconduct. He hasn't given me his files or the detailed invoice so as I want to hire a new lawyer and need a lawyer he stands in my way even though he's fired. I have to deal with the possibility he might try to come after me if I win my case alone even though he did absolutely nothing for me, nothing! He did damage to be so now I have to deal with fighting him in small claims court, hiring a malpractice attorney and suing his liability insurance. Battles I don't need and don't want but will have no choice but to have to take given his lack of professionalism, ethics and nonperformance. I needed help not another battle. He admitted having caused me trauma/harm and yet he doesn't do the right thing.

I contacted Atty Mochkatel although she did have a bad review. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. She called me back from my message and the conversation went downhill really quick. Her tone was very dry and I felt like I was being attacked for sharing my experiences/reason for the call which she requested. After feeling very defensive of real experiences I had I stopped our conversation and told her thank you for your time. She sent me an email immediately apologizing for her communication and that her mother was sick. I emailed her back and let her know she should request an associate to assist her when she is unable to perform her duties. I felt she was unprofessional and uncaring. The opposite of what I am looking for. She emailed me again and had her associate call me. However, it is too late. First impressions are lasting ones.

WARNING DO NOT HIRE!!! I initially intended to consult with another lawyer at the firm that was unavailable so I was referred to Ms. Mochkatel. Over the phone she seemed very willing and eager to help but when I met with her that was not the case. She was very negative and condescending. She said I really didn't have a strong case and probably wouldn't get alot of compensation which was fine with me but to her it seemed pointless when to me it was about right and wrong. I thought lawyers were supposed to be positive and uplifting? When the meeting was over she told me she would consult with her colleagues and give me a call the next day. I never heard from her again and I even called twice leaving messages. Instead I had to email her and request she send my paperwork back to me so that I could look elswhere for representation. The worst experience I've ever had with a lawyer!!!

What a Sexual Harassment Lawyer Can Do for You

A sexual harassment lawyer specializes in representing individuals who have experienced unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature that affects their employment or creates a hostile work environment. These lawyers help victims understand their rights under federal and state laws, such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, and guide them through the process of filing complaints, negotiating settlements, or pursuing litigation. They also assist employers in implementing anti-harassment policies, conducting investigations, and defending against claims.

Whether you're an employee facing harassment or an employer seeking to address or prevent harassment claims, a sexual harassment lawyer can provide the legal expertise needed to navigate these sensitive issues.

When Should I Hire a Sexual Harassment Lawyer?

You should consider hiring a sexual harassment lawyer in the following situations:

  • For Employees:
    • Experiencing workplace harassment: If you are subjected to unwelcome sexual advances, comments, or behavior that creates a hostile or offensive work environment, a lawyer can help you understand your rights and the steps to take.
    • Retaliation for reporting harassment: If you've reported harassment to your employer and are facing retaliation such as demotion, termination, or other adverse actions, a lawyer can help protect your rights.
    • Failure of employer to address complaints: If your employer does not take appropriate action after you've reported harassment, a lawyer can advise on how to escalate the matter legally.
    • Constructive dismissal: If the harassment is so severe that you feel forced to resign, a lawyer can help you pursue a claim for constructive dismissal.
    • Negotiating settlements: If you're considering a settlement with your employer, a lawyer can negotiate on your behalf to ensure you receive fair compensation.
  • For Employers:
    • Receiving a harassment complaint: If an employee has filed a harassment complaint, a lawyer can guide you through the legal obligations for investigating and addressing the complaint.
    • Implementing anti-harassment policies: A lawyer can help you develop and implement policies and training programs to prevent harassment and protect your organization legally.
    • Defending against claims: If your organization is facing a harassment lawsuit, a lawyer can represent you in court or during settlement negotiations.

Hiring a lawyer early can help ensure that your rights are protected and that you take the appropriate legal steps.

What Does a Sexual Harassment Lawyer Do?

A sexual harassment lawyer provides various legal services depending on whether they represent the employee or the employer. Their responsibilities often include:

  • For Employees:
    • Legal consultation: Provide advice on your rights and the merits of your case, helping you understand the legal definitions of harassment and applicable laws.
    • Filing complaints: Assist in filing a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) or state agencies, ensuring that all procedural requirements are met.
    • Negotiating settlements: Engage in negotiations with the employer to secure compensation for damages such as lost wages, emotional distress, or punitive damages.
    • Litigation: Represent you in court if a lawsuit is filed, presenting evidence, questioning witnesses, and making legal arguments to support your case.
    • Protection against retaliation: Advise on how to handle retaliation from your employer and take legal action if necessary.
  • For Employers:
    • Policy development: Help create comprehensive anti-harassment policies and training programs to prevent harassment in the workplace.
    • Internal investigations: Guide the investigation process when a complaint is made, ensuring it is thorough, impartial, and compliant with legal standards.
    • Legal defense: Represent the company in responding to EEOC complaints or lawsuits, aiming to resolve the matter efficiently and protect the organization's interests.
    • Compliance advice: Keep the company informed about changes in employment laws related to harassment and recommend best practices to maintain compliance.

How Are Sexual Harassment Lawyers Paid?

Sexual harassment lawyers typically charge for their services in various ways, depending on the nature of the case and representation:

  • For Employees:
    • Contingency fee: Many lawyers represent employees on a contingency fee basis, meaning they only get paid if they win or settle the case. The fee is usually a percentage of the recovered amount, typically ranging from 25% to 40%.
    • Hourly rate: Some lawyers may charge an hourly rate, especially if the case is unlikely to result in monetary compensation but still requires legal assistance.
  • For Employers:
    • Hourly rate: Lawyers representing employers usually charge by the hour, with rates ranging from $200 to $600 or more, depending on their experience and the case complexity.
    • Retainer: Employers may pay a retainer fee for ongoing legal services, especially if they require regular legal counsel on employment matters.

It's important to discuss fees during the initial consultation to understand the cost structure and any additional expenses.

How Much Does a Sexual Harassment Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a sexual harassment lawyer varies based on several factors:

  • For Employees:
    • Contingency fees: If working on a contingency basis, you typically won't pay any upfront fees. If you win or settle, the lawyer's fee will be a percentage of the compensation. For example, if you settle for $50,000 with a 30% contingency fee, the lawyer would receive $15,000.
    • Hourly rates: If charged hourly, fees can range from $200 to $600 per hour. Total costs depend on the number of hours worked.
  • For Employers:
    • Hourly rates: Legal fees can range from $200 to $600 per hour. A straightforward case might cost between $5,000 and $20,000, while more complex litigation could exceed $50,000.
    • Retainer fees: Ongoing legal services may require a retainer ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 or more, depending on the anticipated legal work.

Always request a detailed fee agreement to understand all potential costs.
