As for someone who is a victim of sexual assault. I came across this law firm hoping to be taken as a client but unfortunately this did not happen. Don’t get me wrong, the staff is very nice. However, they make it seem like you are talking to Norma for the 1 hour intake call on the website but really you are speaking to a Law Clerk named Roshelle who was also very nice. I did not appreciate the fact, they didn’t have the decency to call me to tell me the unfortunate news. I had to scroll through a bunch of emails to find an email from Norma. If you have to pay a $275 fee (only refundable if they don’t take you as a client) just for a person to get information about your legal situation when other lawyers do it for free is kind of crazy.

Contacted Brian with a major problem regarding two traffic tickets I received in the Suffolk County. The results could have meant major points(11) and leading to losing my license. Brian was really responsive, took my concerns into account and assured me that he will take care of it. I ended up getting no points and just a fine. I give him two thumbs up, althought it was fustrating not hearing from him when a return phone call was expected. But then again, my experience with lawyers on other situtations were the same...all lawyers act the same way, if they have nothing to tell you, they have nothing to say, therefore no call. This is not TV. I always called his office for updates and the secretary was very helpfull, as was his associate Charles. I had no problem with the way he did business, but he should explain how he works during the initial visit. That until he hears from SSD there is nothing to talk about. Believe me I only learned this after I received my benefits. Although it took what I thought was a long time, I later found out that there are people that wait much longer to receive benefits. He and his small staff are very cordial and knowledgeable when you do call there and you do get your answers to questions asked, but you need to do all the calling. Lets face it, when we want what we want, we are the ones that have to be diligent in keeping on top of what is needed, we also have to do some work here. I didn't mind. I only wish he would have let us be aware of the procedure and what to expect from them in the beginning, would have been less taxing on my nerves. But I must say even when I thought all looked grim, they were encouraging and confident that there would be a positive outcome. He certainely knows the system, so have patients and put your trust what he says. I would recommend him highly.

He got the job done....and I am grateful to him for helping me. When I first entered his humble little Brooklyn office, which is in a side entrance of an apartment building, i didn't know what to expect. Mr. Skrovonsky immediately put me at ease, looked over my papers,and gave me very honest opinions about my case. I believe that he is extremely knowledgeable and very well connected, which he is very quick to point out. He seems to have a great relationship with the judges who will hear your case, and in his words, "It's not what you know, it's who you know." To make a long story short, I think he won my case. The hearing just took place recently, and i have not received any mail yet. What bothers me however, is that i had to call his office to hear the news. i was expecting a call from them which never came. In fact, all of our communications except for one phone call a few days before the hearing was initiated by me. I can sympathize with the person who wrote the review complaining about his lack of responsiveness. But at the end of the day, i am going to get paid, and i guess that is all that really matters. In his defense (no pun intended) i suppose he can't spend hours on the phone all day if he is going to be winning cases left and right. So perhaps it's not such a bad thing that he is not a "phone" guy. He is busy getting results. I just wish he had someone in his office who would touch base once in awhile to keep the person who is sitting at home on pins and needles waiting to hear about their case at ease.

I was going to work as a Law Enforcement Officer with debilitating lower back pain for years after being involved in two work-related auto accidents.
I was seeing a Physician at a practice in Commack, NY since 2010 and he documented that I needed a single or possibly a bi-level fusion in 2013, but he thought I was too young for that type of surgery so I continued to work and live with the pain because no one told me that I might be disabled or incapable of performing my duties as a Law Enforcement Officer—not even my employer and they have a Chief Surgeon who would read all my medical notes after my doctor and therapy visits.
A coworker saw me in agonizing pain while at work one day, and recommended that I go see Mr. Lerner to see if I have a possible disability claim. When I first saw Mr. Lerner in June of 2017 and he read my MRI, he couldn’t believe that I was at work with my lower back condition, and he advised me that I did in fact have a disability case—It was Mr. Lerner’s EXPERIENCE that instantly recognized that I had a favorable case.
As you could imagine, I was stunned! Mr. Lerner was the first person to tell me that I was disabled and incapacitated from performing my duties as a Law Enforcement Officer.
In June of 2018, I was awarded an Accidental Disability Retirement Pension on application, and I thank Mr. Lerner and his lovely assistant Margaret for making me aware of my options and guiding me through the arduous process of filing for a disability pension—I am forever grateful of Mr. Lerner and his staff.

Rarely answers texts or phone calls and was late to my last in person hearing that seem like a total waste of his time. This guy is a joke and do not recommend at all and shpuld have his license taken from him

The situation escalated when I was misinformed about a court hearing, which I ultimately missed. It appeared that their approach prioritized convenience over truly advocating for my goals. When my mother-in-law was hit by a car and severely injured, we reached out to these lawyers for help. IMHO they screwed my mother-in-law over royally. K&K got $50,000 for themselves (of which they were forced to return about $25,000) and mom got NOTHING! Not a penny. IMHO, you should run far, far away before getting these guys to do anything for you. Would be minus stars if I could.

The dishes and glasswares were extremely dirty to the point I couldn’t use it myself - I got to work I turned their kitchen into a mirror everything super clean even the employees and guess noticed the differences - I will not leave dishes stay unwashed overnight to avoid food and drink poisoning but to the manager it’s not important because I was mistreated by one of his third party server and he came and immediately removed me from my long term gigs - clearly he doesn’t know the importance of clean dishes when offering catering services - the kitchen doesn’t have a 3 sinks comportments and for sure nothing is being sanitized because they use 2 small domestic dishwashers. For sure anything being used right now is dirty especially plates and mugs ( I even turned all mugs super clean no coffee stains or lipstick) but the man got rid of me because I challenged a server who said I don’t know what I was doing. His decision was based on discrimination because I refused to go permanent with the company

Abhorrent, unprofessional, immoral.
Despite multiple email, Zoom, and verbal conversations regarding my preferred pronouns, Department Managers refused to respect my preferences, openly and loudly referring to me by the gender they decided they knew better than me. Be warned, this is NOT a safe place for the LGBTQIA2+ Community. Additionally, multiple comments were made by Department Managers that they hated coworkers, internal and external, because their Indian. Be warned, this is NOT a safe place for people of color.

I had a horrible representative, who was unprofessional and rude. She tried blaming me for her incompetent representation and ultimate loss of my case. Even the judge told her. Of course my case was lost although, the case had been previously tried on the Federal level and represented by a civilian and won. So speaks volumes at the representation they offer. You'd be better off representing yourself

I hired Stephanie to represent me in my civil case. Although I was very nervous as I had never been through this sort of thing before, she was calm and reassured me that she had a plan. She does not have a large office or tons of staff to answer every call, but I never felt as though I would lose mycase due to that. In Court she was very professional and was able to talk me through it although I wanted to lash out. I'll just say that she always seems to have a plan, even if you don't realize it! Looking through old paperwork I find from they're office,Lauren N.Rivera settlement paralegal sends me a letter stating that once I have reached maximum medical improvement and may be entitled to an award for loss of function known as a schedule loss of use award!Antonio knew that from Doctor Douglas Schwartz that I have lost 50 percent of function and suffer from nerve damage!Was in the hospital for 4 days fighting the infection!Was never taking seriously at this place,DISGRACE!!!!

The intake staff named Miguel Diaz was the worst!!!! His verbal tic was not only dismissive, condescending and unprofessional, but he was wasting other peoples' time. I should of listened to my gut and hung up on him earlier on in the phone call. He doesn't let you speak to the attorney at all and demands in CAPS in an email that he wants you to send him all medical reports/clinical summaries with no HIPPA release form. I think he has some form of Tourettes Syndrome. For instance, he could not stop saying "oK!?" at the end of each sentence that does not warrant it. Honestly, it is very hard to listen to someone who dismisses the listener each time. I have his voice recordings on audio, and it is very hard to listen to with his rude tone and demeanor — if I could attach his audios for everyone to listen to, I would have done it by now. Because the things he preaches to you about is quite manipulative and does not go anywhere. It's better to find someone else.

If I could give negative stars then I would. It took months for them to get back to me, just to tell me they couldn't help me. There was a contract dispute and the attorney didn't even read the contract. When I discussed it with her she was telling me one thing and I said, what about section 14? She said I was wrong, but then I read it to her and she said, hold on (so she could read it). Then she wanted to add two figures when it clearly said the difference of them. She asked me if I had anything else from the company and I told her yes I sent it in. She then reviewed it.
Even though she acknowledged my facts were right, told me there was nothing she could do. I said, so it took you months to tell me that? She said she had to review the file. If she had previously reviewed the file and I still had to point things out to her then she needs better reading comprehension.
She decided she wasn't going to help me before she read my file or talked to me - incredibly unprofessional.
