My wife applied for SSI in April of 2024 and in May of 2024 , less than 5 weeks later, the case was resolved in our favor with a nice fat check. In fact, the check was so big that I urged my wife to take the check into the bank in order for them to authenticate the check. Thanks

I had a very frustrating, and potentially negatively life altering, experience with Ms. Ressler earlier this year. The error on her part cost my family time, frustration, and stress to myself and my children.
I was advised to file a temporary order of protection which involved making claims against family members. Unbeknownst to me, Jessica Ressler has a general modus operandi of being an extremely aggressive attorney, regardless of the situation. Her tactics involve getting her clients temporary orders of protection, involving the police, and using false statements. For those who are not aware, these tactics often negatively impact children. She treats every case the same, and her reputation in the industry is well known as being overly aggressive to the point of being detrimental to her clients and their cases. Further, her strategy unnecessarily involves child protective services who are legally obligated to investigate each case, and each parent, regardless of the accusations made.
Without going into significant personal detail, the filings I made under Ms. Ressler's guidance landed me in the cross hairs of CPS for no apparent reason. The result could have led to a permanent record, termination from my job, and an inability to be involved in some children's activities. When I pointed this out to Ms. Ressler, I was met with vague explanations and no real accountability, nor help to assist me from a legal standpoint. While initially she was attentive to my questions, once this occurred, her communication stopped instead of following up on ways to assist me, as though she signed off from my case. Ultimately, the CPS case was resolved without issue based on evidence provided by my family.
It should be noted that Ms. Ressler was recently formally admonished in court for her tactics and procedures. As previously stated, her reputation amongst attorneys in the NYC metro area is well known, and not well regarded.
I would not trust this lawyer with anything important and would highly caution others to do their due diligence before hiring her. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for legal counsel.

Made a free 3PM consultation appointment that was sent to voicemail due to another unrecognized number dialing in at the same time. By 3:04, after hearing the message left from the firm, I promptly called speaking to someone who sent my request on, and emailed the man who originally scheduled the intake. Days later, not a word.
Writing the review for those looking for a law firm that doesn't treat you like another number, clearly they moved in to the next caller, regardless of preparing notes, and blocking off the later afternoon. It's an amateur mistake that dissuades any confidence despite the other reviews

I slipped and fell outside my home. I went with another law firm located in the Hudson Valley. But I wasn’t satisfied with them. A good friend of mine, suggested that I see if Bruce Schonberg would handle my case! She referred to him as “an experienced ballet dancer in the courtroom! She said that he did an awesome job for her, and she believed he would do the same for me! I found what she said to be true. Their advertisement “if you want Bruce Schonberg, you’ll get Bruce Schonberg! And that’s a promise “ is truly the truth. Mr. Schonberg came to my home. He is smart, kind, and honest. He made me feel at ease. I trusted his record of 35+ years! I knew when he left my home, I was in good hands.The staff is nothing short of being the “Brightest Stars in the Universe “! They worked during the pandemic. They worked with masks, without masks. They worked in the office, they worked from home. The entire staff worked tirelessly on my case. Victoria dove so deep into my medical history, she found injuries that I had dating as far back as the late 1980’s. I forgot I’d had those injuries. It wasn’t uncommon to see her carrying the many files, often many more than she is tall. We had a standing joke, that I have my own medical records room! Amelia and Tania, answered all my phone calls, always pleasantly. Five whole years of questions and requests. But they were never the less professional, always. I have to give a special “shout out “ to Ryan Fagen. He was right by my side during the damages portion of my lawsuit. I found this to be the most complicated part of the lawsuit. Mr. Levine has been my legal representation for over 17 years. He is a kind, understanding and supportive person with complete knowledge of the worker's compensation and social security legal system. He has assisted me with my worker's compensation case from the very beginning. Having pain from an injury on the job is very difficult to prove and is highly subjective. Early of last year 2014-2015 my finance had rendered the legal services of David Z. Nisnewitz Esq. to represent her as her legal advisor, and counsel for a claim against the conglomerate Insurance Co. (Hartford) for an insurance policy she had generously paid for over the years she worked as a registered nurse.
She took this policy out as safeguard in the event she would become sick and incapacitated to continue working. Her heath condition depraved over the years both physically and mentally.
Mr. Nisnewitz was not only sensitive to her well being, but was very kind, compassionate, and genuinely concern about her growing heath issues.

I was terminated by my employer and I thought I had a case. I was either ignored or turned away because of "conflicts of interest." Russell came by way of a referral from a Labor Rights website and I am so grateful. He really looked into my case and listened to me. When Russ believes in something, he's passionate about it.
