Seven years ago. I discovered that my then then husband, unbeknownst to me, had been embezzling attorney escrow funds and committing wire and tax fraud over the course of 9 years during our marriage. His despicable criminal acts left me with a costly and devastating divorce in addition to a joint and several income tax liability of over $500,000 (not including penalties and interest). I was referred to Hana by my accountant who considered her an expert on "Innocent Spouse Relief" cases. I promptly consulted Hana and had my first conversation with her in an utterly shattered emotional, psychological, and financial state. Hana listened to my story closely, patiently and compassionately, and clearly advised me on all aspects of the Innocent Spouse Relief process. I knew immediately that Hanna was the only lawyer who could help me because she not only understood the law but understood how much pain I was in. Despite Hana's diligence, efficiency, and organization, the process took quite a while because of the IRS and NYS bureaucratic red tape. But Hana was there for me every step of the way the entire time. She was kind, responsive, patient, soothing, considerate of my financial constraints and, most importantly, 1000% successful in getting me full relief under the Innocent Spouse rules. Who knew there was a tax "alchemist" who could turn misery into magic? After spending many years suffering from an incredibly huge tax burden left over from a business I owned, I was lucky enough to get Ms Boruchov to take my case to help me work with the State to ease the debt. Honestly, I felt like I had an incurable disease, a loathsome affliction that I would rarely even speak to anyone about. It felt as though I was literally dying from this "terminal tax cancer" that I had brought upon myself during my years as a business owner in NY.
Ms Boruchov was the first person in the several years since I had closed my business to be able to see past my hopelessness and demand that we focus on the positive possibilities. Before I left her office on the first day I met her, she was already on it (—making phone calls to the State on my behalf and recommending the most perspicacious yet affordable accountant I have ever worked). The results have been stunning to say the least, with changes and arrangements that I had not thought even possible.
Now, thanks to Ms Boruchov, I'm well on my way to living "tax-cancer-free" and way less stressed about my life in general. Her character, integrity, and non-judgmental attitude is perfectly balanced by her sheer brilliance and incredible emotional intelligence, both of which are rare gifts nowadays. Unfortunately, I received a DUI a couple of years ago. I was represented by Mr. Kenneth Yu, who successfully got my case dismissed and sealed. Mr. Yu was extremely professional and guided me through every step of the process. He explained my options and devised a plan of action for every possible scenario, which was vital when going through this difficult time. In the end, my case was dismissed completely! I don't plan on ever getting another DUI, but I recommend Mr. Yu if you ever do.

Absolutely great attorney. He was always quick to reply, detailed with his responses, and was able to dismiss my charges of public urination and trespass with ease. He has in depth knowledge of the court system and was able to position my case so that I had the best possible chance to have the charges dismissed. During the covid period I was in a mess operating my business. Our creditors refused to offer any payment facilities. In desperation we had reached out to Attorney Jeb Singer for advice.

It isn’t my intention to make my review this long, but it’s the only way to truly share my experience. I’ll pay it forward. After months of contemplating, researching the subject and reaching the conclusion I’m truly in the worst of financial troubles, I still wasn’t 100% sure if I could or should go through with bankruptcy. I wasn’t there yet. I was terrified at the thought. Enter Mr. Singer. The first thing was the website. It was very different than most. It’s put together right. It’s not intimidating. So I called the number. To my surprise Mr. Singer picks up the phone. Not an answering machine or secretary or anything. He doesn’t know me and is talking to me like I’m a family member. Like his grandson or son. He spoke to me about ME. With dignity and respect. Not about money or what I did wrong. Not about My mistakes. But is this action now apart of my life’s journey? Do I need to start over? That changed everything for my decision going forward without any fear. Elliot who’s apart of Mr. Singers team is the nicest guy ever. He made the process very easy for me. Many business owners rely on third parties to take care of everything, which I did, and Mr. Andolino was very forthright and pointed out all the things I had done wrong or had not done over the years.
For example, his firm prepared paperwork for a Joint tenancy with rights of survivorship to protect my wife. Set up the paperwork to transfer property upon death without going through probate. His firm also completed the paperwork to reduce future estate taxes through exclusions. That was only the work for my personal estate; his firm also handed all the paperwork that needed to be filed for my business and partnership.
Sometimes it pays to get a second set of eyes to go over your financial documents and see what was missed and Joseph Andolino and Associates did an outstanding job.

Although it may appear that this top rating seems a bit high on the mark, I can state with certainty that Jerry Merola is the real deal when it comes to bankruptcy cases. I was a newbie to the bankruptcy process, nor had I worked with a lawyer before, but Merola + his team walked me through it step by step without leaving me feeling befuddled in any way. Mr. Hazlitt is a practical and very effective lawyer. What we liked about him was his business sense. He didn't dance around issues. He knew the technical loegal issues inside out but he did not stop there, He was mindful of our business objectives and crafted a very useful and logical solution to our problem. Five years ago, I had IRS Debt & addt'l debt incurred by foreclosures (I foolishly fell victim the Housing Sham of this early Century) that exceeded $90k, and addt'l debt with an aggregate that exceeded $90k. Despite tortured attempts to resolve & or settle my debts, no Agency would ultimately agree to do so. Mr. Graham was recommended to me by a colleague, who like myself, was heavily indebted without remedy.
Christopher met with me - after prior advising me on what materials to bring. He quickly assessed my situation, and informed me that relief was definitely a reality. Bankruptcy was the most reasonable option available. I was greatful for Any option!! I was amazed, however, with the speedy process that Chris procured in getting my Bankruptcy request facilitated through to the Court. Once there, it only seemed like minutes before Mr Graham presented my petition; got a hearing date; & in less than 30 days later, an AMAZING judgement for me (Chapter 13, because this, sadly, was my 2nd one).

Chris is a tireless workhorse, who can sometimes neglect to return a call or inquiry immediately. He DOES return them though, and the Final Results are well worth any related annoyances.
His rates are more than reasonable. He is affable, unflappable, and down-to-earth. My bankruptcy was discharged in September, 2018, after 5 years without incident OR hardship.
I will always be grateful to Christopher Graham for his Expert representation. He merits a AAA from me. Highly recommended.

This past year was a tough one as we decided to create a medicaid irrevocable trust as our mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. We are a very close family and the diagnosis in and of itself has been extremely difficult. Our mother wanted us to get all of the families affairs in order. Our father was resistant because this was his job and he was resisting the changes this would mean but more importantly it meant accepting his wife of 55 years diagnosis. We walked into the Grimaldi & Yeung Law firm with trepidation, fear and some degree of confidence that we were stepping up to the plate and taking care of things. It was not easy and took over a year for us to follow through, due to a lack of trust in what we never dealt with and fear of change. We rushed nothing and with each concern our father had we went to his financial advisor and accountant for reassurance. We had gotten a contract to sign from the law firm and had to give an initial fee and we all wanted to be sure the prices were fair and the recommendations were right for us. We proceeded to read everything and speak with all of the proper authorities regarding the contract and suggestions by Grimaldi law firm. Anyone who does what we did would be smart- especially if they understood little going in. At the same time we were not easy clients. We questioned everything. This is where the review comes in for Stephenie Yeh. I had to first give a lay of the land as you may relate. Stephenie Yeh absolutely and gently blew us away (in the most positive sense). My brother in law had dealt with the same situation with his mother and used a different law firm. He felt that Stephenie explained things that was so much more clear than the lawyers he dealt with. We were so impressed by Stephenie's ability to explain things (over and over again) in laymen's terms so we could really understand. This happened over numerous phone calls and emails before the signing over months and months. The day of the signing when everything was clear, approved and we were just going in to sign, my dad had an emotional block for this all. It was as if he was hearing everything for the first time. He is 85 and in pretty good shape and awareness. With each road block he put up, Stephenie patiently explained things once again to him and in a way that he would be able to comprehend what he was doing and signing. She never made any of us feel rushed and encouraged us to take our time and to make sure we felt comfortable. I actually cannot give greater praise to Stephenie Yeh's mannerism, care and professional knowledge and handling of our families elder care and legal documents.
