Amy Cagle helped my husband and I navigate what I was anticipating would be a long, confusing, time consuming and complicated process with efficiency and ease. A good friend recommended Amy Cagle for creating a trust, will, and Durable Power of Attorney. I worked with Amy and I couldn’t have been more pleased. She’s knowledgeable, bright, professional, funny, and thoughtful. Plus she pointed out a way I could save money by informing me that I didn’t need a new Medical Power of Attorney, that my previous one was fine. She said something similar to friends I referred to her. To me they said that she was honest and refreshing; they had the feeling that she was interested in helping them, not out for every last nickel. My cost was half the price of another attorney I had previously interviewed for this work. A close friend who is an attorney accompanied me to the meetings with Amy. He, too, was impressed. I’m picky about choosing professionals to help me, but once I find a good one, and she is that, I stay. And I recommend.

Alan listened very carefully to our needs and situation. He spent a good deal of time making sure our Special Needs Trust would be set up in a way to protect our children's needs. In the end, we decided to use only a revocable trust, but it was set up in a way to be able to set up a Special Needs Trust for our son in the end. It all was quite complicated (to us) but he was patient, responsive, and thorough. We are very pleased with our final products and would recommend Alan for estate planning.

I had the privilege of retaining Mr. Patrick Holmes as my attorney. I received a traffic citation in NC, and being that I do not live in NC, it made an already stressful situation worse. Both Mr. Holmes, and his paralegal, Bradley Byrd were outstanding. They were knowledgeable, straight forward, honest, understanding, patient and kind. I always felt informed. If I had a question or concern, my emails were always answered within a reasonable amount of time. They truly made such a stressful situation so much less stressful, and for that I am grateful. They are upfront about what they charge, and their prices are fair and reasonable. They are truly worth every penny! On top of it all, I am extremely happy with the outcome of my case. I contacted Justin Plumer in 2014. He helped with an estate for my stepmother which was complicated. Justin and the team at Cheryl David and Associates got all the research I needed without me having to do anything. At the time I was living 200 + miles away and working full time. I can't get enough of Heather. My spouse and I went through the whole estate planning shebang with Heather, who made the process completely painless. When a recent change in circumstances arose, we made some edits to our wills and yet again, it was so easy. And then it happened again. The third time was even smoother than the first and second--she even made flowcharts so that we could visualize what our unique plans were!
While these conversations and decisions are not easy, working with Heather sure is.

They took my money first then sent one email to the opposing attorney. They charged me $2500 to tell some lady thereasons why I need legal help basically.

Following my husband's return from the hospital with a diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia, I found myself in charge of our finances that he so aptly took care of for 42 years. A friend shared his experiences with CFEP with me and I called them the same day. Within six months, under the guidance of CFEP staff I was able to set up a trust insuring that what we had worked so hard for was protected for the rest of our lives and for our children. The staff at CFEP is always very professional and available to answer what might seems the very basic of questions. Since my husband passed last year I continue to rely on CFEP expertise and plan to continue my association with the firm.

My husband and I attended an information meeting sponsored by Attorney Gill’s group, and we were so impressed with the clarity with which he explained the benefit of a family trust. Since that time we have set down with Mr. Gill and created a trust which we think organizes and protects our assets. We very much want our family to understand this process, and Mr. Gill has been kind enough to share the same presentation about trusts with our son, and help him understand the process. It is so very comforting to have provided each of our children with Attorney Gill’s contact information and to know he has a copy of all our powers of attorney (health, etc.) If ever we should experience a medical emergency, each of our children carries one contact card—Attorney Gill’s. We know that Gill’s office would fax to anyplace in the world, papers that are pertinent to our care, and they have established a relationship with our children. His materials have also helped us organize contact information regarding our property, insurance, etc, and provided a way we can communicate to our children about our end-of-life wishes in as non-emotional way as possible. Meanwhile, we are blessed to be active and healthy at 70+, and we intend to stop by the office often to keep our records up to date and to be responsible with the resources the good Lord has provided. We contacted Carolina Family Estate Planning after moving to North Carolina from New Jersey - we wanted to make sure all our important documents, including wills, healthcare directives and trust documents were all up to date and compliant with our new state laws. They responded to us immediately, and through several meetings including the most important one with Kellie, we had our (pretty complex!) documents updated and ready for signature within a matter of days. After dealing with a previous attorney who left us disappointed and everything only partially taken care of regarding my father's estate I found Danielle. Danielle reassured me that she would take care of finalizing things to close the estate.
Danielle is absolutely professional and knowledgeable; she communicates all the details and provides updates quickly and thoroughly. She explained everything that was happening and answered all our questions very clearly. She went back and finished things the previous attorney left incomplete and guided us through the decisions we needed to make.
It took Danielle a few short months to get things finished out even during covid-19 when it had taken the other person well over 8 months to do half of what Danielle did. I'm very impressed with her level of commitment to get everything finalized and closed out in a timely fashion.

Mr. Harris was a great help to me as I recently made a will and advancedirective. He was able to advise me and my spouse with our specific situation. Every family is unique and it is necessary to have an attorney that can explain different situations that may occur upon sickness, end of life, and death. I recently lost both of my parents and because of their advance directives and will it allowed me to not feel guilty at the end of their life. I was able to carry out their wishes and not feel guilty or unsure. This was actually a gift to me. It has allowed me to know I made the right decisions for them. Mr. Harris was able to help me create my will and advanced directive so that my family will know in advance my wishes. I feel a great sense of relief now that I have this information and at any point can contact Mr. Harris for changes to both of these important documents. Mr. Harris is very personable and knowledgable, also easy to talk with about estate planning. I would recommend him for legal advice pertaining to this matter!

I couldn't be happier with the experience of putting my trust together with Duffy Palmer’s firm. I found the firm to be knowledgeable, responsive, professional, and thorough. His firm answered all of my questions promptly and anticipated most of them. Although trusts can be complicated the firm process and knowledge crisply led me through the steps while addressing my specific needs. I never felt rushed as I determined our best options. Duffy Palmer was the attorney but the support staff all contributed to the effort. The trust process doesn't end with writing documents. The funding phase where your legal entities are transferred to the trust was also clearly defined. I was provided a package with detailed instructions, forms, and a discussion to answer any questions. I thought the price was fair for the amount of work performed and would strongly recommend Duffy Palmer for any of his service offerings.

I engaged Duffy Palmer to prepare my estate plan after attending his estate planning seminar held at Manning’s Restaurant in April 2019. I was very impressed by his professionalism, breadth of knowledge, ability to answer the attendees’ questions, and pleasant and friendly demeanor. During our initial conference, he explained all aspects of the plan which was tailored to my specific financial needs, and made plenty of time available for addressing my questions and concerns. Everything we discussed was in clear, easy to understand language. He drafted the documents promptly, and after incorporating some minor changes, we met again for review and sign-off. In our final meeting, he turned over the completed official plan in a binder, and went over the additional steps I would need to take to complete the process, all of which were clearly documented in a checklist included in the package.

Contacted Scott Eggleston to prepare documents necessary for estate planning for my wife and myself. These included will, health care power of attorney, durable power of attorney and living will. Mr. Eggleston conducted a thorough interview, explained the purpose and need for the various documents and what they accomplish. My wife and I never felt rushed or that our questions were foolish.
