Over the last few years, I had referred my mother, and then my in-laws to Collier Law for their estate and trust preparations and then my wife and I chose to use them for our trust set up most recently. I interviewed three law firms before selecting Stefan Wolf to be my estate planning attorney. Throughout the process of setting up a trust, will, POA and Advanced Directive he was the consummate professional. Stefan is responsive, smart, extremely knowledgeable, kind, and thorough. After a phone conference with my long-time financial planner, my planner called me and asked if I knew how lucky I was to have Stefan as my estate attorney. My planner said he works with his clients estate attorneys all the time and had never worked with someone of Stefan's caliber. High praise from my curmudgeon of a financial planner! Brian Thompson guided me through dealing with my mother's estate. We had an initial consultation where he told me to keep excellent records. I had no idea how important that emphasis would be at the time, but after that I made sure to keep everything in a spreadsheet. I don't know how I could have done this without Brian and the tax professional we used.
Along the way I found the process complicated due to some weird small investments my mother had, and selling her house. It was not a huge estate, but it was complicated.
Every time I asked Brian a question in email he answered back with clear recommendations. He even called me once when he sensed that I was confused.
I would use him again.

Ms. Palmbald is a lawyer who specialize in the estate. She is detail about explaining the specifics, and the choices between a will, and an estate. Ms. Palmblad parperes all paper work, and will mail the form to your doctor, bankers, friends, and etc. to sign. You can call her anytime of the day if you have questions, she is very helpful. She does not give you an answer if she does not know but she will check into it, and get back with you. Very professional lawyer, I had recommend her to a lot of my friends about how important it is to have an estate done. The money I paid her was worth every penny!

We hired Taylor Kittell for help with estate planning and she was terrific. We paid a flat fee, which meant that she didn't benefit from spending extra time with us. Nevertheless, she explained our options to us thoroughly and with great patience and she was quick to respond to follow-up questions or concerns. The legal assistants were also lovely. We also had time pressures because my husband was in town for only a short period and Taylor was able to expedite the process and get everything done before he left. All in all, a great experience.

I created a trust years ago when I inherited assets from my father. Simple. 50/50 to each of my children. Then one adult daughter became disabled and it was suggested that I set up a special trust for her. The other daughter was now married with two kids. Scott walked me through lots of options and raised issues I hadn't considered before. Creating a trust is more than just divvying up assets. It takes thought and consideration. He was patient and thorough. I feel I now have a trust that protects the assets, is tailored to the needs of my children, and that represents my desires for use of the assets. I highly recommend Scott.

Scott did a complete estate plan for us. As a retired CPA, I have an understanding of what needed to be done, He did a great job. But of greater importance, was his ability to communicate with my wife and me. He was able to tactfully call our attention to different methods of achieving our goals.
Recently, our son passed and we had to amend the plan to meet our changed goals. Again, he was very helpful and helped us define what needed to be done.
As a person, he listens well and understands your needs and desires. He is friendly and doesn’t not try to superimpose his logic.

We were very pleased with Ms. Smith's review of my father's Estate Planning and Trust documents. She went over them all to make sure they were in line with the current laws, made some changes he asked for, and helped us feel secure, knowing that everything was in order. She only did what was necessary, and didn't charge us to re-write anything we didn't need done. That way we saved both time and money. I would recommend her highly. She can start from scratch to set everything up, or just do what you need, and not overcharge you.

I am a transactional attorney who generally believes that reasonable people can always find a path to resolving their differences. At least I believed that until I had to deal with Portland Public Schools regarding my son receiving the services he needed and which PPS is obligated to provide.
Faced with an early morning meeting with PPS, we called Wiscarson Law. Our call was returned promptly and Christopher offered to meet with us that evening and join us at our meeting the next day. Christopher listened to our situation and our goals for our son. He explained our rights and the practicalities of dealing with PPS and the individuals involved. He then took charge, contacting PPS's counsel to notify them that he would be attending our meeting in the morning and arranging to meet in advance with the administrator who that had been an absolute impediment to any workable solution. When we arrived Christopher informed us that PPS had agreed to the resolution we desired. This was, to say the least, an enormous relief.
Following this, Christopher kept in regular contact with us, and helped ensure that any needed follow up was taken care of effectively and efficiently.
As an attorney, I can honestly say that Christopher is a credit to the profession and I would recommend him whole heartedly. My only regret is that we didn't engage him or Diane Wiscarson much sooner. Our experience with PPS would undoubtedly have been much more productive or at least less stressful.
