I had Jim do my NFA Gun Trust and my family Trust. The NFA Trust was all done online and via email from Hawaii. Zero problems with that process. It was so easy to get done I had him to put together a family Trust. Very easy to work with and excellent service.

Jim made it very easy to set up my trust. He spent close to an hour on the phone with me answering all my questions and explaining every aspect of the trust and how it works. I never felt as though he was trying to rush to get me off the phone. I had my trust set up in a day. I would recommend Jim to anyone wanting to set up a gun trust.

Debbie handled my best friends Last Will and Testament prior to her passing. She and her husband had recommended Debbie to me after the sudden unexpected passing of my Dad. I interviewed several other attorneys over the phone that seemed to be monetarily focused. I chose Debbie to represent my Dad's Estate due to her extreme compassion during an emotionally and stressful time.
Although, a written Will was not created prior to his passing, he did express his wishes to many other family members. Unfortunately, his widow did not concur.
Debbie explained the Texas probate process and each step involved in disputing an estate without a Will. She constantly side noted difficult legal verbiage to layman terms ensuring the understanding of my responsibilities. She was the perfect mediator for this extremely tense and sensitive situation.

Frank Leffingwell's office prepared an employment agreement for me so that I could have all my current employees to sign it. I had not done this previously because another attorney had informed me many years ago that such agreements are not enforceable unless my practice has trade secrets I wanted to protect. And I did not think that we had any such trade secrets. Frank explained to me that such agreements are enforceable for a couple of years even without our practice having trade secrets. And that this is long enough to provide me the protection that I desired. His firm also prepared an excellent employment agreement for me within a couple of weeks and all of my current employees have signed it. Now I can rest easier about the future.

I work with our El Paso, Texas facility where Jessica handles legal issues we have problems with families (DOPA's) not paying their parents bill and refusing to sell property in order to get them eligible for Medicaid.
We have a resident who owes over $54,000. Thanks to Jessica that number will no longer go up. She did something I have never had an attorney do in all my years working in long term care. This financial abuse was reported to ADPS and law enforcement. Nothing was done. Jessica sent me a letter to review that she wanted to send to the Attorney General. It was so well written. Yes this was financial abuse but she also wrote with concern for our resident. She got the ball rolling with that letter. They assigned an investigator to this case. We now have a legal guardian for our resident, the family no longer has access to her pension checks and this guardian will see that the house is sold, the nursing home bill paid off, Medicaid is applied for and our resident's needs met financially. Sending that letter to the Office of the Attorney General was not only a brilliant idea but the fact that she was determined to see the right thing done for our resident - meant so much. We are here to take care of those in our care and with Jessica's help we able to accomplish this.

Much like some other reviewers, my father passed without a will. Everything seemed to be in order until my siblings and I each received a letter that was concerning...and none of us knew what to do about. We tried the route of "look it up online", but all it did was cause more confusion. I reached out to Mr. Jones' office and explained my situation. Mr. Jones called me back in a timely manner, provided us with much needed guidance, and put us at ease. I have not had many dealings with attorneys, but the few that I have were not nearly as satisfactory as this. I had prepared myself mentally to pay SOME amount of money for his time, but Mr. Jones did not charge me for his "priceless" advice. I was treated with respect, and I feel like he genuinely cared about my situation...much like I was a long time client. I hope this doesn't come across as some "mindless, can do no wrong, glowing review". I am not the review leaving type, and for me to do this says something. As I get older and have a family of my own, Mr. Jones will be the one to handle my estate planning.

My father died without a will and had property out of state. This was a complicated matter that my family and I have been trying to resolve since 2012. I called Mr.Jone's office explaining my situation. Mr.Jones called me back within 30mins and listened our case. Mr.Jones genuinely cared about our situation and took it upon himself to call the attorney we were working with in Louisiana. Something that took us 2 years to resolve; with Mr.Jone's help we were able to resolve the matter in less then 2 weeks. We all have stereotyped lawyers and attorneys and I will tell you that Mr.Jones was either. Since there wasn't any paper to be done in Texas, Mr.Jones and his office did not charge for his time and efforts in resolving our issue. This is unheard of in today's society and it put my faith back in humanity. There are individuals that truly care about your situation and not looking to make a quick buck. I cannot thank Mr.Jones enough for his efforts and I would highly recommend anyone needing a probate lawyer to contact Mr.Jones. Thank you!

Last year I hired attorney Liz to help me with the probate of my brother's estate in Austin. I had earlier talked to several other local probate lawyers. Liz was far more knowledgeable and experienced. She worked with me for over a year, guiding me successfully through the probate proceedings in the Austin probate court. Sounds like an oxymoron, doesn't it? Well, in this case, it is not! In my experience, Elizabeth's approach with me as her client is that she truly cares about setting my family up for an easy transition to taking over the legal matters of my estate when the time comes that they will need to do so. It's not a matter of if, but when. That's a scary thing to think about. However, with Elizabeth's expertise and years of experience of probate law, she truly understands how to leave behind a legacy of love. The last thing you want your family to have to deal with if something unexpected (or not) happens to you, is trying to figure out how to manage your estate or worse, not having the ability to make medical decisions on your behalf. Having a Will in place protects your family from a lot of the legal & family conflict they may face in trying to make necessary decisions. Don't put off setting up your legacy of love.

Like many other families, we were faced with decisions that we really didn’t think we would need to make… my Dad’s dementia was deepening and my Mom, his Caretaker, was beginning to rapidly fail herself.
It came to the point I knew my Dad needed more care than what my Mom was capable of providing. It needed to be done quickly and correctly. Frankly, I was worried my Mom would pass before my Dad.
My parents are retired school-teachers. That means they are not rich, but they do have income. It certainly means they do not have the money for Nursing Home care that my Dad needs, and for that matter, my Mom needed for him to have.
I knew that trying to do the paper work and application for Medicaid was far beyond my ability and know-how. I recognized at that point we needed an Attorney to handle this for us.
I looked for a nearby attorney and found Richard Shea. This was one of the best decisions made in this difficult junction of our lives.
Richard reviewed everything carefully…. He answered questions timely… He worked as a partner with our family.
We are so grateful we hired him…it turns out that one of the accounts my mom had saved money through her job, would have been at risk if we had made the application first. Richard identified the situation and made suggestions on how to restructure it, which we did. While the amounts would not seem large to most people with an IRA or Pension, it was huge for my mom, and meant a lot to her monthly income. This one detail, more than paid for Richard’s fee.
My Dad is in a great facility. My Mom is able to relax and reclaim part of her life because she doesn’t have the heavy burden of caring for my father any longer. She can sleep at night and not have to worry if my Dad was going to get out of bed and turn on the stove and burn the house down! (He actually came close one time.) She is actually getting healthier. During her last check-up, her doctor told her he was pleased with her resurgent health.
I cannot recommend Richard enough. He is well worth his fee since he will fill out the paperwork and handle the application process and deal with the questions from the Examiner. These are details that are nerve racking enough, let alone during a stressful time.
If you are faced with these decisions, I recommend you hire Richard to handle the details. You have enough stress as it is, let him handle the part you that you are not an expert in handling. You will feel a lot better that you did.

After a death, the last thing you want to do is worry about someone liquidating your fathers assets. This is what my sisters and I had to face a week after burying our dad. Due to him not having a will things where really complicated and his wife tried to take advantage of the situation. A family friend referred us to Bill and he has been a breath of fresh air throughout this entire process. Her attorney has been procrastinating the entire time and Bill has been on him like white on rice! Bill is very much to the point- no BS so if you want to be coddled then this one isn't for you. But, if you want the facts and someone that is going to give it to you straight while fighting for what's right then Bill is your guy. I highly recommend his team to anyone going through probate or a family settlement agreement. He's expensive but well worth the money I promise!

I was referred to Tracy by a corporate attorney and I am writing in now to express my sincere thanks to Tracy for her outstanding lawyer services on my case. Mr. Kricken is wonderful! He helped us 110% thru our whole process. I cannot offer enough praise for the law firm of Richard P. Johnson and his associate Marcie Johnson. Upon the passing of my uncle in Dallas Texas, I had to travel from Columbus Ohio to the Dallas area and deal with a multitude of issues with regards to my uncle's estate. Everything from a ranch 65 miles northeast of Dallas in Commerce Texas, to his home in Dallas where I had to get a bio hazard team involved because of the conditions I encountered upon arriving in Dallas after learning that my uncle had passed. As if that weren't stressful enough, l had to make funeral arrangements, deal with stacks and stacks of paperwork, and unfamiliarity with the Dallas area. Richard and Marcie Johnson were extraordinary in terms of their assistance and professionalism in helping me with ALL my issues. They took charge from day one and offered me advice on everything from legal issues to assistance with reputable accounting firms, real estate persons, estate sale individuals, etc. Three months have passed since my uncle's passing and they have been with me all the way. when ever I had a question, concern or just needed a shoulder to cry on, they were there. Our case involve a home builder we hired to build our "dream house." He turned out to be a thief and completely incompetent. After more than a year of fighting with the
"builder" to fix the problems, we decided to try the legal route.
We had never had any experience with lawyers and were not even sure how to start the process. A friend recommended John and we got an appointment the same week. He was WONDERFUL. John walked us through the process, told us what to expect (including the frustrations to come) he was very meticulous, organized, and kept us informed every step of the way.
In the end he proved fraud, deceptive trade practices, and incompetence on the part of the builder. Our home was declared a complete loss and because of the fraud and deceptive trade practices,, we were awarded the full price of the house plus triple damages. The total amount of the judgement was 500,000 dollars.
I hope we will never need another attorney but if we do, John is the first guy we will call.
I recommend John to anyone in need of an attorney.

My wife and I hired Amy to update our will, and create a small trust for our children. She was very thorough in her questioning during the process, and helped us identify some concerns that we need to address through the will. She was very helpful, and willing to work with us to develop the documents including the will and trust, and we were able to complete all of the work on budget.
I also asked Amy to review an overly complex employee stock ownership agreement from my employer. She was extremely thorough, and in fact identified a key factor in this agreement that impacted my will. I could tell she worked very hard on this, and was very complete in her summary report.
