I became injured from an inmate working as a Correctional Peace Officer in California in February 2003.
Mr. Douglas Low is very smart and is understanding concerning work compensation. He took on my case that was 5 years old from an attorney who rolled over every time workers comp wanted me to stand down.
Mr. Low carried my case from 2011 to present- 07/2015.
I won my case on 06/19/2015, this after 11 years of SCIF trying to get rid of me.
However SCIF continues to be the bad guy, they are by not paying the correct amount as ordered by the Workers Comp. Judge and Appeals judges.
Attorney D. Low jumped on this 3 days latter by submitting a writ to the judge.

As someone who struggles with being an advocate for themselves in difficult situations. I definitely made the right choice with Mr. Campbell and his team. I was stressed, and had lots of anxiety, but a huge amount of those issues were taken off of me once I hired this team.

Disappointing Experience with Goldberg & Ibarra Law Firm
Let me preface this by saying, I want to believe in this firm's ability to turn things around, but so far, their client service and attention to detail have been far below acceptable standards. I plan on updating my review should I see an improvement as my case progresses. I also want to highlight that David Ibarra is an excellent attorney when you get him one on one but working with his staff has been the biggest challenge overall.
I had high hopes for the Goldberg & Ibarra law firm, but unfortunately, my experience has been riddled with issues that no client should face, especially when it comes to critical legal matters. The firm consistently fails to meet even the most basic standards for client communication and legal ethics, causing unnecessary stress and frustration.
**Communication Failures**: From the beginning, it was nearly impossible to get in touch with my attorney. Despite numerous attempts to reach out via phone and email, I was often left in the dark for weeks at a time. Not only is this a blatant disregard for the attorney-client relationship, but it also raises concerns regarding ethical obligations under the California Rules of Professional Conduct. According to Rule 1.4, attorneys are required to keep clients informed about the status of their cases, something this firm completely ignored. Specific examples include delayed responses to important case updates and a lack of transparency in terms of strategy and next steps.
**Lack of Diligence**: There were several instances where critical deadlines were nearly missed due to the staff's slow response times and lack of communication and follow through. At one point, I had to follow up repeatedly just to confirm that documents had been filed. This level of neglect could have easily jeopardized my case. The firm's disorganization not only reflects poorly on their ability to manage cases, but also risks violating Rule 1.3, which mandates that attorneys act with "reasonable diligence and promptness in representing a client." It's evident they are overstretched and unable to provide the necessary attention to detail.
**Poor Client Service**: Beyond communication and diligence, the general attitude toward customer service was disheartening. After my initial consultation, there was no meaningful follow-up from their office. Even after expressing concern about the direction of my case, I was met with dismissive attitudes from the staff and no effort to reassure me. Legal ethics require a respectful and client-centered approach, but my experience was far from it.
**Final Verdict**: If you are looking for a law firm that will prioritize your case, keep you informed, and work with the diligence and ethical care that you deserve, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. Goldberg & Ibarra may have some positive outcomes, but their failure to meet basic legal and ethical standards was unacceptable in my experience.

They explained the delicate workers compensation process perfectly. I was briefed on how the process was going to go, and my expectations were more than met.
