If you have an amicable divorce go to a mediator or give a small retainer fee. This office has a NON-refundable refund for retainers. My case was during the holidays and after we signed everything the office went silent. I had to email to check status and then they would move the case. I wasn't even informed on when my divorce was finalized, I found it on public records. Although I am knowledgeable and know it was my mistake for not reading the terms, I hope this helps someone to ask about refundable retainer fees. My divorce billable hours were about 2,500. My retainer fee was 5,500 so the office made an easy $2,900.00. Hope this review helps someone in the future!

Andrew and Theodore were extremely professional and transparent with me throughout my whole case. My case lasted approximately 5 months and they were by my side throughout the whole period. Weekends, holidays, after hours they were always a email/phone call away.

This firm is a nightmare. Can’t never get a hold of anyone and when you do and make an appointment no one calls. 5 years later no resolution and I had to pay out of pocket for my roof. Makes empty promises and can’t ANSWER the phone. I reached out via personal number and was cussed out by Monique low. Couldn’t get a hold of you any other way…..I tried for months and months and months. Take you business elsewhere unless u wanna be waiting around for 5 years.

Our attorneys have overlooked MAJOR details in our case, we ended up signing settlement papers (SIX MONTHS AGO) and agreed to a fraction of our out of pocket expenses. Where is the check? Who knows! I am not getting anywhere with these lawyers. They don’t seem to care that we never got our settlement. Stay far away.

Lawrence and Rose Ben, as well as their paralegal, provided me with an excellent and exceptional level of care.They were always available to me by phone, and treated me with kindness! They quickly got me to physicians to treat my injuries. They always discussed my experience while undergoing these procedures. I can honestly say that I have never had this level of compassion and service in dealing with any other attorneys. At the end of the day, the Bens were able to reduce my medical bills drastically, and still get me a great settlement. A real quality that seems to be lost in this day and age for people. Mr. Ben and his staff took the time to explain to me what may or may not happen in my son's case. Never once did they "tell me what I wanted to hear" they were honest and clear and never made any promises. They actually took the time to call on numerous occasions to see how he was doing and to make sure he was feeling better as time went by. It was refreshing to know we were more than a case number or a dollar amount. It has been a pleasure to work with them and if the need arises in the future and I need them again I will not hesitate to call.

Jason Pearl has been a go to several times for injury claims. Unfortunately, myself and my family have been prone to a long line of accidents. Including one that nearly took my life by a drunk driver. I have never dealt with someone who is more compassionate about his clients then him. He listens to his clients instead of talking over them and always puts the ball in their court and gives them the final say. He advises his clients honestly of all possible outcome based on all possible decisions. The one time I didn’t use him (at my wife’s insistence) it turned into a three ring circus and I had to do the attorney’s job for them. His office staff is just as phenomenal as he is. If you are injured in any way I strongly suggest you speak with Jason first. He won’t necessarily paint you a rosy picture but will give you honest advice which is highly unusual this day and age. Called the office and was lucky enough to get a quick consultation with Greg. After just a few minutes it was apparent to me that this was the attorney I would need for the issue I was facing. He knew right away what was going on and was able to provide me with quick and concise answers to my questions.
When the time came and I actually needed his help he was right there in the thick of it doing whatever he needed to do to resolve my issue. If we were in a combat situation together, this man is my medic. Without a doubt one of the strongest minds I've personally encountered.
In the end Greg resolved my issue without the need of ever seeing a courtroom and for that I am eternally grateful. He may not be able to do this in every situation, but I was lucky enough where it was possible. Either way I can say unequivocally that should I ever need help in the future he'll be the only person I will call.

Would avoid working with this firm if at all possible. They are extremely slow to respond, completely disregard emails, and show a complete lack of empathy or understanding. If you are not consistently following up, you will be hard pressed to receive any type of response. If you do receive a response, it will be short and often times not even answer your questions. It consistently felt like we had to chase them down for the most simple requests. Go elsewhere if you have the option.

If there was an opportunity to not leave any stars I wouldn't. Yes, it seems that people love the old man dressed in a finely pressed shirt with cologne who speaks softly to estblish a rappore. This is called 'Bait and Switch" so much, to make extra money they will tell you that you are not happy with their services so that they can call a hearing in the middle of the divorce when it is too late to hire anyone else. Lets charge that invoice. No disucussion, no communication, nothing except for invoices, overbilling for no rhyme or reason. Remember don't assume anything.. this is a game as to which party has the most money so that they can write up an "Agreed Order" which you will not see for opposing counsel to pay. Leins put on your settlement checks, I can go on and on but they are not worth it. OH, Mr. Stok owns a debt collecting agency and a title agency so he likes to own your property which is why he will put a charging lien on that as well. I won't waste any more time but stay away from them ... or else. If I could show photos of what they didn't and did do, I would probably get arrested. But Karma has a way.... Its been 4 years and I never did get my jewelry stated in the MSA and given a fake pension that didn't exist. I was not represented... My ex husband was... remember? it is about who has the money.
As G-d is my witness, everything in this review can be proven. Stay away from them.

From day one our case has been butchered. Our attorneys have overlooked MAJOR details in our case, we ended up signing settlement papers (SIX MONTHS AGO) and agreed to a fraction of our out of pocket expenses. Where is the check? Who knows! I am not getting anywhere with these lawyers. They don’t seem to care that we never got our settlement. Stay far away.

I would leave zero stars if I could. Empire came highly recommended from another law firm. Worst referral we have ever received. The Court Reporter showed up late for the zoom deposition and left her audio on the entire time with the tv playing in the background. We scheduled a 2 hour deposition for 4pm and Empire charge us almost double the hourly rate for after hour charges without letting us know there would be an additional fee. They corrected the invoice and when we paid it charged us the original amount of the invoice. I call and get disconnected or voicemail on a regular basis. This company has been very unprofessional and rude. I would recommend another court reporting service for your needs.
