I was referred to Buckley Patterson after my car accident by our insurance adjuster. I was hesitant at first about getting an attorney because of my tendency to "lean away" from confrontation. John was very warm and able to empathize with me while at the same time helping me feel safe to look at the bigger picture. I used Daniel Horowitz when I was hurt on a job. I was alot of times in alot of pain and he always was compassionate and caring person. He did not make me feel like any of my questions were too dumb. I never imagined that I would be a victim of a car wreck with my children in the car, but unfortunately it happened. Everyone was so helpful in trying to get my case resolved as soon as possible. Because of COVID, things moved slower than usual and I think the office could’ve done a better job of initially communicating that was the reason things were taking so long. I hired Mr. Elwell after getting arrested on DWI. I was referred to him by a trusted friend who is experienced in DWI cases. I proceeded to have him handle my DWI case, as well as my ALR case. After the ALF hearing, I received notification that I had won the case and my license DID NOT get suspended after hearing from multiple people that those cases are almost impossible to win. As for the DWI charge, Mr. Elwell also got the charge dismissed. His office was always timely in keeping me informed about the case. They were very professional and reliable. I would definitely recommend Mr. Elwell to anyone who is going through a DWI case. I will be using his offices to get the charge expunged also.

This is an eclectic group of well experienced professionals that will know how to represent you at trial, if your case goes that far. I had the pleasure of being represented by Walter Schouten. Ironically, he was referred to me by an attorney that I consulted with. I was told to call Walter because he is very knowledgeable and he's an outstanding trial lawyer. Walter took on my case and he was assisted by an amazing paralegal in Vanessa Enciso. This dynamic duo believed that they could help my situation in securing me a new trial for a custody case. They went to work immediately. This was 2 weeks after I lost at trial while being represented by a different firm.
Long story long...Walter was able to get me a new trial, and he was able to get the judge to change her previous ruling. I am now the custodial parent of my 7 year old son.
I have to admit that even if I wasn't awarded custodial rights, I was more than satisfied with the representation and would have been able to live with the ruling a lot easier. Knowing that I was being properly represented was huge for me. Especially since the previous firm I hired for this case was absolutely terrible.

That was my friend' recommendation for my hit&run case and I could not ask for better lawyer. Caring, explaining every detail of the case, always available and my check in the end over exceeded my expectations.
Also probably worth mention that my case had one more injured person (almost similar injuries) who went with another lawyer and as far as I know got in the end much smaller paycheck.
I hope my friends would never need that kind of services, but in case they will - I have a really awesome and aggressive lawyer recommendation for them.
