I suffered a broken knee from a bad fall, the place I feel was a tourist attraction and did not have any caution signs or any type of warning of the area, showing it was not a step. I felt this was not right so wanted to get a lawyer involved. This happened in Washington DC/Marland area. I live in North Carolina, so I contacted a lawyer in NC, but since the accident occurred in MD, they referred to me Monty Yolles (Yolles Legal Group) in MD. I wasn't sure what would happen, Monty took my case and set the expectations from the beginning, speaking with him, I felt very comfortable because he is so down to earth. He is very knowledgeable and smart, he ensured I understood the process and when it came to settlement time, he assured me it was my decision to settle, and I respected that, and I got a great settlement!! Our story began in 2021 when we relocated from New Mexico to Baltimore City during the height of the pandemic. We were in search of educational and health services for our five-year-old daughter who is on the autism spectrum and has special needs. As physicians, balancing both the stresses of the pandemic and the complications of the educational system was a struggle. Our frustration grew when we couldn't get our daughter screened for Kindergarten through the Child Find Office, and after several disheartening interactions, we were unsure of where to turn.

A federal indictment should be soon for this office for the amount of money stolen from their clients. This office represented my wife grandfather personal injury and wrongful death case. Peter was hired in December 1996, a year after opening this firm. My wife father died from asbestos lung cancer in 2003. Sadly, the estate only saw 100k over the past 20 year and her grandfather never received the settlement money neither did she or her grandmother who are both named in his Will. To this day, this office is sending small checks to the estate but have claimed over 40 million of dollars from the companies trust funds in relations to the injuries and deaths of their clients.

A few years ago, I was the victim of a hit and run accident in Silver Spring, MD. The driver fled the scene after hitting my left leg, under the influence of opiates prescribed for his mental illness. I was left terrified and alone with an ACL tear. Luckily, I was able to memorize the driver’s license plate.
Upon consultation with Mr. Morgenstern, all was well and I was told everything was rather clear cut and could be easily handled. When I met without Mr. Morgenstern in person as an African-American woman, I was suddenly met with apathy.
Mr. Morgenstern stepped away from litigation of my case and gave the job to one of his partners. The man was so rude and condescending I honestly forgot his name. He looked at me with disgust during my deposition, looked at me with astonishment when I told him I was a college student on an honors scholarship, and repeatedly told me to fix my posture and general appearance during court.
Without my knowledge, Morgenstern and his partner worked directly with the defendant’s lawyers to come up with a mutual process to effectively dismiss the case. I watched before my trial as Morgenstern paid more attention and care to the lawyer he was supposed to be defending me against. It was demoralizing and wholly unacceptable.
During deposition the driver who hit me stated on record that he had even been in a vehicular incident similar, killing a deer. He also stated how the medicine for his bipolar disorder was recently changed. The facts lined up so clear cut in this case a circus clown who failed the BAR could have won it. There were obviously much more sinister hands at play.
At the end of my case, I walked away with nothing, the driver (who was guilty of a hit and run) walked away without fault, and his insurance did not cover all of my medical bills. Mr. Morgenstern’s partner told me with a smile that I would not be able to purchase a home well into my 30s because of it.
Five years later, at the age of 26, I bought a home with excellent credit and am happily married to a lawyer who’s family has been delegates and politicians in this state for generations.
This experience taught me that some lawyers only care about themselves and do absolutely NOTHING to service their communities. This experience also taught me to stick to diverse litigation in all of my legal matters. If your lawyer does not understand or empathize with you as a person, they will NOT work their hardest to win your case.
If you are a minority, I urge you to not waste your time or precious energy by being devalued by this law firm.

March 2014, I was hit by a D.C. Circulator bus walking
in the cross walk with ample seconds to cross. Hit on
my left side, I suffered multiple fractures of my left
wrist and extensive bruising on my left side as well.
A visitor to D.C., I returned to Chicago and one week later,
Dr. Daniel Mass at the University of Chicago operated on my wrist.

Really bad attitude. My spouse and I paid for Mr. Wood to represent him in a case during the pandemic. Mr. Wood never represented him court never showed up to any dates because of Covid there were many delays and case wasn’t presented to the courts until a year or so later. Mr. Wood got very irate and angry because he had to give back the money paid because he never represented my spouse in court. This place doesn’t want to help those in serious accidents that matter for customers. First off the receptionist in the front desk Kim is very rude, unprofessional and doesn’t like returning calls. The lawyer himself Jeffery talks a big game about helping and fighting for the clients but he doesn’t!!!! He looks for his money only for the law-firm and five other more money just for being refurred to them, more than the person that’s being handled on the case. Nobody returns calls until they get annoyed by the client/clients!! I can recall calling 4 times in one day just to hear back for information then waited additional 15 till they can to the phone. I wouldn’t recommend anyone using him for help. There’s no real justice dealing with him except laying him off and making him look good when truly he’s not!!!! And he take weeks to resolve issues and get any updates on what’s happening with the case.

Do not waste your time dealing with these people. They are only out for their selves and are very selfish. They do not care about my concerns about my recent case and aren't fighting hard enough. Brad filed for a warrant motion recall when he should not have, just to take my money. I had hire another attorney first and I should’ve stayed with him. My son was falsely accused and he was found innocent from questioning, so the detective told me that I didn’t need an attorney. I told Brad macfee and he acted like he was in shock. If I would not have said anything about a refund he would’ve kept my money. I paid him $1500. Who would allow someone to keep their money for nothing. Not me! He told me that he would give me my $1000 back. He got his secretary or whatever she is working from her home, because he has no office to send me an invoice. Saying that he charged me for my affidavits $300 for an hour. We never talked about that, if we did I would not have agreed to that is what I texted him. He never called me back and he ignore my calls after the day he told me a lie about my money. I called and texted a week later asking about my money and Liz said that she didn’t have my address, but Brad had it. Poor communication on their end. I went to her address to pick up my $825 check. I wouldn’t recommend him to a cat. This is what I text Brad and he just read my messages everytime that I text him. Coward

Brad was the worst lawyer EVER he stole over $500 and never returned my money he played so many games and never barely called us. Not to mention it was like pulling a persons heart out with your bare hands. That’s how hard it was to get in contact. He has a iPhone so I would see him many times read my messages and keep them on read. I guess it’s no surprise we lost our case. He was the worst ever and I wouldn’t recommend him for not even the simplest case. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
