My experience with John Jilik has been exceptional. I was extremely blessed to have had John as my lawyer to oversee the legal process of my personal injury case. John and his team have been extremely supportive during the entire process. Their main concerns was my wellbeing and receiving the help that I needed during my healing process. I recently had a phone consultation with Ray, and while I typically treat BAR members like I treat Federal Reserve Notes—acknowledge their existence but don’t put too much faith in them—I have to admit, this one didn't immediately trigger my "fraudulent adhesion contract" radar. A rare feat, indeed.
To my surprise, Ray was knowledgeable, professional, and didn't try to gaslight me into believing I’m just another helpless soul lost in the maritime fog of presumed liability. He actually listened, provided solid insights, and—brace yourself—spoke in a way that didn’t require me to decode legalese like I’m deciphering an IRS tax form while blindfolded.
Now, am I ready to swear an oath of allegiance to the BAR? Absolutely not! But did this consultation help ease my situation and clarify some key points? Yes. He may not have issued me a Letter of Marque, but at least he didn’t try to drag me back onto the pirate ship.
For those navigating the choppy waters of the legal system while trying to remain in the private, this attorney might just be a safe port… or at least a dry dock that doesn’t come with an automatic lien.
Would I recommend them? Let’s just say, if you ever find yourself in a legal pickle and don’t have time to hit them with an affidavit first, they might be worth a call. Just make sure you’re not unwittingly entering into a contract—because, as we know, silence can sometimes be construed as consent.

While walking my dog in my neighborhood one Sunday morning, a dog launched himself through a screened window that had a hole in it.
The german shepherd grabbed my arm and mauled me severely while dragging me into the driveway next to the house. After emergency surgery to repair the damage from a compound fracture (including plates and screws) and a stay in the hospital, I began the search for an attorney to guide me through the legal process of addressing the incident.
Because of a previous auto accident when I was represented by Barry Lakritz, and because of the level of trust I had in him and his team, I reached out to his office to see if this would be something they could help me with. Once they saw the pictures of my arm prior to surgery, they immediately agreed to handle my grievance against the homeowner.
I understood how the process worked and that it might take some amount of time to gather evidence and process it through whatever necessary systems (i.e., insurance claim, court, etc). But, Lakritz Law took the time to keep in touch with me and explain exactly what was happening. They even came to the courthouse to view my personal petition regarding the disposition of the animal that attacked me (something they do not legally handle).

Mike has a desire to be successful in his services and representing myself. This was first demonstrated to me when Mike did his research on me to determine if I was being honest with him in the beginning. When he was certain that he was given all the correct facts, he took on the case. I really appreciated this, because when he accepted my case, he was committed to it and to me. Mike would review every aspect with me and explain the alternatives including the potential cost impacts with the various options before proceeding. Mike dealt professionally with everything that needed to be addressed. He discussed the issues with me and listened to what I had to say without making any pre-judgments. Mike would summarize the issues well and keep to the facts even though the other party attempted to “rabbit trail” at every opportunity. My “after-divorce” problems continued for years as the other party would continually challenge the final order. Even in this, Mike dealt professionally and worked to keep my interests protected. I used Mr Radner after being hit by a car on a bicycle path and was hurt pretty bad. The driver claimed I caused the accident.
