I recently had the opportunity to watch Tom Scarritt in the courtroom and I was very impressed. It was evident that Tom connected with the jury extremely well and was very comfortable in the courtroom. He did an excellent job of turning complex legal issues, into persuasive, understandable arguments that the jurors could relate to. Tom did a wonderful job and I would recommend him very strongly.

After 2 years of complex litigation, I was beginning to think the legal system in Hillsborough County Florida was a complete joke. After discussing the situation with Tom Scarritt, I realized my legal team of 3 mishandled certain aspects of the case. Since they were with a large statewide firm, this was a tough pill to swallow. There were 2 trials involved in my case. My original team blew the first part of case by mishandling the trial. I fired the original team and engaged Tom Scarritt.
Tom took my bleak situation and completely reversed the tide . At the end of the second trial , the judge told my opponent her assertions of value due her were ridiculous. While no one should be expected to work miracles, Tom Scarritt was able to take our situation to a successful conclusion given our difficult position. Had I employed Tom in the beginning, I am convinced the outcome would have been a complete success. Litigation is a minefield of rules and legal positioning . Tom knows the system inside and out having taught trial lawyers and I recommend him to anyone with a large case.

When I slipped and fell and shattered my shoulder -I looked around and interviewed. several law firms .
Most were not really interested because they felt it was too small of a case ( not enough of a fee for them )
Andre Lama told me he would take the case and that it would take a while but he would represent me in the best possible way .
He did what he promised and touched base with me to let me know any updates and I was happy with the outcome !

I had an accident in November of 2015 and I was immediately referred to Jack by a peer at work. (Goes to show he already has a great relationship with clientele). The accident left me with sever lower back pain and with the prospect of piling medical bills I turned to Jack to help me with my personal injury suit. I'm 55 years old and have been in the professional business world most of my adult life. Any attorney with Ashby Davis' track record who will answer his cell phine 90% of the time is truly a "rare find" these days. In a world of talk, Ashby walks-the-walk and is by far the most professional attorney I've ever met. My case was settled in just over a year at a settlement that was more than i expected.

I cannot praise Ashby's assistance to the heights to which he deserves! My vocabulary doesn't have enough superlative words to adequately portray how wonderful he was in handling my legal "woes". He was wonderful in every aspect of this awful "experience with a terrible moving company" concerning the moving company's destruction/"loss"(think THEFT) of my property which had supposedly been in air-conditioned storage for over two (2) years --( I was moving from my home on Marco Island, Fl to Gulf, County,Fl and required storage as I was building a new home). The moving company was AWFUL, but with Ashby's skillful work and handling of my case, I was able to receive a much higher settlement from the moving company than I ever would have without his representation. I have had occasion to deal with lawyers throughout my life--in fact, my daddy had an LLB from Cumberland Law School ( class of 1934) and received a J.D. (as you know- a Doctor of Jurisprudence) at a later time--although daddy only did Pro Bono work since he was primarily a businessman and farmer in Florida and Alabama. Anyway, Because I have been around "legal stuff" my whole life, I really appreciate when I encounter someone like Ashby who is knowledgeable , skillful, hardworking, and compassionate in dealing with my very stressful situation. He was always extremely attentive to me and my situation and even though I may have been overly upset at times, he always made me feel like I could contact him at any time for any reason. I only wish he were closer to where I live now--but I still would not hesitate to request his help in the future--distance is no hindrance in the way in which he handles legal matters. His law firm should put him on the "fast track" to being a Partner--people/lawyers like Ashby are diamonds in a too often pile of legal coal chunks, as I'm sure you know. His honor/honesty is impeccable--I'm sure Martingale-Hubbel will have an AV rating by his name--he IS an "A" lawyer--and he has the "Virtute" (virtue) to boot!! He deserves a huge raise in salary--and if your law firm is smart, you will hang on to him with "everything you've got"!!! Footnote: Because of Ashby Davis' wonderful handling of my case/situation, I gave him my deceased husband's iconic and official US Navy leather pilot's jacket from the Vietnam war era. I hope you can infer how highly I think of Ashby because I gave him the jacket my husband wore as a Navy pilot.

Over a year a go I got into a "no fault" car accident going to work. I pick an attorney's office that I thought was good until within a month's times one of the assistance there was calling telling me an offer. Completely feeling like I was just some quick dollars in their pocket I went to my doctor and ask if he could recommend me an attorney. Now the saying "Doctors knows best" applies here and when I tell you I am so happy I took his advice. Jennifer & her office was who he recommended and she was just what I needed for my situation. She's understanding, caring, straight forward, honest and her goal was not to rush to get me a quick dime. She cared more about my health, if there would be any long terms issues and my complete physical and mental well being. Marcus Fernandez is a top notch attorney. I hired him for an injury case. He went above and beyond my expectations. He would keep me posted on my case often, via phone calls, since my schedule didn't all time for a face to face. He was willing to incorporate my time into his schedule.
One thing I have to say is that he asked me one question. "What do you expect to get out of this suit financially" he said to take a week and honestly think about it. Well I did just that. Now I could have thrown out a number and that would have been it. But I took his advice and listed all the specific details. Every night I was up in pain all night. All the days I missed work, family finances that occurred from this incident. I wrote the list so specific that I came down to every penny that I felt was owed to me, and details as to why.
Mr. Fernandez called me and said that with all his experience he never had someone do that. Normally they would come up with a number and that was that. I said well you asked me to really think about it and be specific. Well that's what I did.
The next step was the deposition, in which he did explain to me how difficult they defense would be and he would correct. He prepped me for just that.
One thing I have to say is that at first I went with a "popular" law firm Morgan & Morgan, because of their popularity. And they dropped the ball on my case. I learned that it's not about the person with Morgan & Morgan. You're just a number there. But with Fernandez you're an individual who matters.
Bottom line we won the case and he did get the amount I wanted and felt was fare. He was amazing and I would recommend him 100%.

My experience with David Hardy was exceptional. He made the whole DUI process easy and as stress free as possible. He explained all every step of the way. He was able to negotiate with the Asst. States Attorney a more beneficial plea deal for me. Well after my court date I was having an issue at the Probation Office, he called and took care of the whole thing for me in a matter of minutes.
