Bill Berke is one tough lawyer! He is capable and smart and knows the law and the workman's comp system well. When I spoke to him on the phone, I realized that I would not want to face him in court and that he would prove a formidable attorney for me against the insurance company that was taking advantage of me. And I was right. He got my workman's comp benefits reinstated after they were wrongfully terminated by the insurance company. He even got me more money for my mileage because the insurance company had been cheating me in regard to that too. Mr. Berke provided me with competent and wise legal advice throughout the workman's comp litigation process and at the end of it, he was able to get me a great settlement. None of that would have happened without Mr. Berke and his wonderful staff who are also thorough, competent and tough. Sheri, Biill Berke's paralegal, also knows the law and the workman's comp system and is one tough cookie! Yet she is sweet with clients too.. I would easily recommend this firm! This firm takes a personal approach with their clients and makes them feel welcome from the moment they walk in the door. They were all very knowledgeable about social security law and were very patient with answering any questions that I had, and explaining it in a way that made sense. Big thanks to Dina as she quickly responded to my calls and emails and gathered all the paperwork/data needed all the while making me feel a part of the family especially through such trying times as this Covid pandemic! I couldn't believe they remained open (following all the safety guidlines of course) and worked very hard to make the whole process quick and painless! The office was very professional, from the paralegals Dina and Melissa to Bill Berke himself who represented me in front of an ALJ for disability benefits. He was no nonsense but very professional and took the time to go over my testimony and assembled a presentation that the Judge was impressed with. This was during the Covid shut downs so we had to do a phone hearing, but the office was prepared and I felt I was in good hands going in and they always got back to me with any question or issue I had.
