I would like to thank Attorney Matthew Messina for getting my case settled. After taking over my case he was able to get it settled for even more compensation then was originally expected. I appreciate it all the help!

This firm low balled me through FIGA/UPC and I settled 2 months ago. I haven’t seen or heard from them since and haven’t received anything. This review caught the attention of the firm and I got a call back asking me to make changes, but I don’t feel comfortable doing so. My feelings and emotions are such a mess over this. I originally got paid 49k for damages from UPC, although they are saying 58k which is false. Now after two plus years and a house full of mold that had to come out of my pocket due to my new insurance stating it’s not storm related, which is a complete lie. My house has been sitting with unfixed damages for a little over 2 years as the mold was forming. A mold specialist came in twice and said there was mold, even the mold specialist the law firm sent. I hadn’t any choice but to go through a lawyer in hopes that they would fight for the difference: they only settled for 30k when I asked for 70k which was still less than the total the two adjusters came up with. Two adjusters came up with between 160k and 180k in damages. My total doesn’t even come close. I’m going to have to pick and choose what I can fix with 30k. I got robbed and severely low balled. I feel this firm did not fight hard for me. They take 33% as well which the insurance company counts toward your payout. I don’t feel the should take that much under the circumstances. They should take 20% and the other 13% should be added to my 30k settlement. They should do it under good grace. I am a combat veteran, that is unemployable disabled with a terminal illness. I can’t just go out and work to try to compensate being low balled. Their communication sucks once you settle as well; no one calls, texts or emails. You have to stay on top of them, and then they just make excuses. But you’ll get a call if you make a bad review. Hurricane Ian hovered right about my home for hours on end, shredding my property to pieces. Now my insurance is significantly higher and my deductible is as well. This whole situation really sucks and I have cried so much. I am not changing this review until the firm does better overall. And I’m definitely not changing it when the only phone call I received was about this review. This firm is horrid!!! DO NOT use this firm… 33% is absurd! On top of everything else. I’ve read other reviews and it seems that the percentage they take is not consistent from one to the next. Again, under the circumstances they should collect 20% and place the other 13% with my 30k settlement and do the right thing.
