I was fighting with my short term disability and I was getting absolutely no where. They would not return my calls and never sent me anything by mail that I asked for including my policy and even my denial. The only call I got was the denial call. I had enough so I called DABDOUB Law Firm and I was connected to Geannina Andrea Burgos. Not only did she understand what I was going through but was there to comfort and help me understand how we can fight back to get what I rightfully deserved and what I paid for in premiums. I will say it wasn't any easy process dealing with the disability company with the short term appeal and the long term disability application. These companies do everything in there power to make you feel hopeless and that you give up. I can say that is the wrong choice and with the help of Ms. Burgos you can win against these bullying insurance companies. What made the difference was having someone on my side that new the law and what needed to be done to get them to approve my claim. I even had to undergo a Functional capacity test which really helped my case and could be very beneficial to your case. My job was very labor demanding and my health diagnosis makes it impossible for me to continue this job field and will definitely impact my future employment. But I know I will continue to have Ms. Burgos there to help me with whatever arises in the future. Finally they approved my long term and my short term. She never gave up and was always one step ahead. Continuously remaining well informed on old and new laws. And most importantly fought with everything she had to make sure I got my son back before the holidays. She was my gladiator! I was connected with Kevin Schaefer when I called Dadoub in desperation to resolve having had my disability claim denied. I'd just gotten off the phone with my insurance case manager and felt sick of the runaround she and her colleagues kept giving me and sick of being treated like I was some sort of lying slacker when I was in fact sick and unable to work. Kevin listened to me, gave me good strategies to fight back with facts and more knowledge of my rights, and simply made me feel like not giving up. His advice worked and my denial was overturned--with as little reason given as i got for the denial in the first place.
